Nick left me in California…to teach another class….not for good…don’t get excited! I had another great opportunity to teach at the Quilter’s Coop in the beautiful wine country of Temecula. Joanne the owner of Quilter’s Coop wisked me away from Ontario and brought me to wonderful part of the state about an hour south of where we were…I checked into this Japanese inspired hotel..SpringHill by Marriot …it was so cool..I climbed into bed and read the rest of the night…The next day…my day off….thank God!…a girl needs a day off now and then…I was ushered around the town by my friend Roxanne, who brought me to quilt shops, little quaint shops…a wool shop….the puppy store..Kohls-to buy socks and underwear-I packed those in the wrong suitcase that went home with Nick…I didn’t like hand washing undies in the sink and drying them with the blow dryer…after we found the puppies and arranged for them…we left them at the puppy store and met Roxanne’s sister Val. Val took us to 3 wineries and just seeing the vineyards was a treat…and then out to eat at the last one….it was the end to a wonderful day.. Here is the the “Coop”. Joanne’s shop is a lot like mine…full of inspiration and stuff…
See my next post for the other shop I visited in wine country…LBLeave a Reply Cancel reply

Oh how gorgeous. I want to visit and shop, shop, shop, !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Elizabeth
One of my favorite stores. I was just there the other day. Good thing I have to drive 45 minutes to get there or I’d be in trouble!
I love all those wool table toppers hanging on the clothes line!
I was just in Temecula visiting my brothers. Roxanne wouldn’t happen to be Thomsen from San Diego area? She’s my “tour guide”, too. Have yet to use her though! HA! We just keep running into each other at shows.
Just found your website and am enjoying your blog.
Can you please tell me the name of the quilt block you are hand-piecing that is pictured in your January 18 blog? Is there a pattern for it?
Thanks!
