I have to apologize for this post…it will not do the day justice…I taught in the wonderful “castle” that was going to be a quilting retreat house…but it is having some major issues….well…I must have been tired because I did not take any photos of it!!!! Our class on Tuesday was also great! All the ladies learned about piecing the little nine patches…and wool applique in the afternoon…Susanne made us a wonderful lunch and the day went so fast it was unreal…I also got a few gifts, one a heart-shaped plant from Linda and the other a pincushion from Charlotte. It was made with the selvages from my first fabric line…it will always be a treasure to me Charlotte…Thank You!…Linda….I hope I can keep it alive…I am wonderful about outside plants but those inside ones??
After the workshop…it was off to pick up the PUPPIES!…Archive for February 2nd, 2011
We also visited Temecula Quilt Company…Cheryl the owner has a different concept in her shop…all I could think of was Pottery Barn…Everything was perfectly staged. It was spacious and very neat and tidy. Cheryl loves little quilts, Civil War fabrics and does mostly her own patterns in her store…You can tell she loves her store and it is her baby… We also stopped in a little wool shop called The wool lady…Ruth just happened to be there on her day off and let us in…The rest of the pics are the wine country and winery’s big storefronts…I tasted some delicious wines…I liked Julia, from Ponte’ and we had almond champagne in dark chocolate shot glasses…hmmmm ..do I have to go to work tomorrow…do you think Nick would miss me if I stayed in CA????…
