I should be in the shower right now getting ready for my next workshop….I wish I could get away with slapping on the deodorant and combing my hair, but my hair is always looks like I had a rough nite, which we know is not happening… Here are the photos I promised last night…the quilts are all coming up in issues of American Patchwork&Quilting mag….Jennifer showed off her FINISHED table mat from my class last year in the first pic…AWESOME!…the following pics were from class yesterday…14 students made Patiently waiting…one gal made the robin into a cardinals!.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I am so disappointed that I couldn’t go to Primitives this year! Due to shoulder surgery I’m stuck at home recovering and doing physical therapy but was able to dream of next year while looking at the photos.
Is the last table runner coming up in American Ptchwork & Quilting magazine, or is it from last year??? I love it!
Can you tell us any info on the Halloween quilt in the right background of the first photo? The name of the pattern? Is this a quilt special to that store or is it a pattern? It has the arched cat and ‘spooky’ tree in two of the blocks.
You did a great job with the photos…can’t wait to see the upcoming magazine articles. REALLY love they tiny quilt with 1″ (?) squares and orange borders…

Please share more info about the quilt in photo 8. The pinwheels with the mustard colored border. It is fabulous, that mustard color is one of my fav signature colors!

Your quilt was awesome! She told us you buy half yards when you purchase fabrics …a fat quarter goes for Appliqué projects and the other half is cut into 1 1/2″ & 2 1/2″ strips….these are then used as is or sub cut into say 2″squares or whatever the project you are building calls for….I hope I got this right…LB
yes I cut 1.5, 2, 2.5 always a 6.5 strip and what ever other size I know I need at the time that way when I am ready to work on a project I pull out the bin/basket full of the size I need and start a quilt.
better then pullout out piles of fat quarters or 1/2 yards and cutting a strip from each one , been there done that what a mess the sewing room became! This way I have a great variety to get started with!
yes I always go into the fabric closet (ok closets) and pull out other colors I want to add to the quilt I may not have strips of at the moment. but never have that big mess I used to! I have been doing this for 8 years now and it really helps me. Since scrappy to me is using as many different fabrics as I can! over 100 is good, why not right?
