Welcome to another great “blog hop” from Moda…Nick and I are busy, buying lots of presents…the outside of the house is all decked out…our neighbor hood looks like the Griswald’s Christmas. All we need is some snow! Yes I really said that…Let It Snow! Please!!!
I am hoping to go to a couple of country shops today to get inspired and finish off my “inside” decorating…sometimes I need just that new thing to get me excited…a day off with the GFs and lunch will help also…the tree is up but not decorated…so I think after today I will want to finish everything.
I just want to take this time to mention what a special blessing it is to be part of Moda. Words cannot describe how great this company, and it’s employees are to work with. Being a Moda designer is the icing on the cake for me.
Below is my recipe and block we all did from Spring Market…you can just click and print.
I am starting my Christmas baking and candy making…I made a new concoction for my Christmas Wool Weekend at the Gathering this last weekend…The big bowl was empty! It is the perfect combo of sweet and salty…I think next time I make it I will add some red and green M&Ms for a little color…it is all about the color.. CHRISTMAS SNACK CONCOCTION
Now Christmas is all about surprises….and I have 3 to give away…first one with the right answer to one of these questions …you can only win one of the prizes, that is only fair. PS-Primitive Gatherings employees are not eligible to win these prizes…lol
What year did we open Primitive Gatherings?
What is the name of my first book?
What color wool do I most use in my patterns? example: cowpatty wool is a light brown…but not the right answer…we name all the wools on the patterns…so look at my patterns!!! don’t just say red…get it? I knew you would…
good luck!
Check back as I will be blogging a lot this month…here are the other bloggers in this hop…be sure to visit! Lots of good things…all for now…LB
I have only been following your blog for about a year. But I do know you use a lot of wonderful blue in your wool projects. I dont know the year you opened or the name of the first block. Love the moda blog hop..
Too new to the quilt world to answer and I didn’t want to Google ( thinking not fair) but I love all the blogs and I love your style and color stories.
Merry Christmas

I believe your first book was Autumn Gatherings. The color used most in your designs is Raven black. And I think it was 2008 when you opened your shop.
I’m rather new to your designs and shop. I’m guessing Winter Remembrrrd was your first book just because I love the name of the book:) Hope that you and your family have a fabulous holiday season! Merry Christmas!

I haven’t been following you for very long, as I just started “following” blogs about 2 months ago, so I don’t know any other questions, but I do thank you for sharing.
Lisa,
I think your shop opened in 1999 – that rings a bell for some reason. And I would say Darkest Black or some other form of black – I don’t know that I’ve heard it called anything other than black, but that’s the color I see most in my kits!
Lisa, you opened in 2004, sage green is the most used color of wool and your first book was Garden of Stitches that took you running to where you are today! Happy holidays and I look forward to all the good stitching you have planned for 2012!!!!
Primitive Gatherings opened in 2004.
My guess is that your first book was Garden of Stitches (Backyard Quilts).

Does this mean none of the rest of us will be entered for the opportunity? Just asking because I am so totally confused about this. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity and for your participation in the Moda Christmas To Us Blog Hop. Judy C in NC
Hello! Thanks for being a part of the Blog Hop! I kinda am new to the Blog reading thing, I have been a quilter but only recently started reading all the designer blogs. I find it facinating to be able to get idea etc and even linking in to different sites from theirs. It is so amazing the information you can find and put to use.
I can honestly say I do not have the answers and do not feel comfortable to just copy all others answers. I believe I have visited your booth at the Houston Quilt Market.
Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays to you and your family. dd
What a lovely runner! thanks for the block pattern and recipe. But since I am new to your blog and patterns I do not know the answers to the questions! Thanks!
Wow — The winners have been chosen already?!? It’s only 8:00 PM on December 8 and this is the first opportunity today that I’ve had to follow the blog.
The cookie recipe seems easy to me but the quilt…it looks like an adventure for me. I LOVE the design and can’t wait to give it a try. The table pad in the above photo is awesome! I don’t REALLY know when you shoppe was opened but I will guess 2005, I consider that an educated guess, LOL! Thank you for sharing everthing and to you and your’s “Happy Holidays”.
