Glamping at Moda
Moda booth
My stuff in Moda’s booth
Saturday at quilt market…
Today is the real first day of market…all the booths are finished and beautifully displaying all the newest designs for the upcoming year for shop owners to carry in their shops…I being a designer and shop owner am doubly overwhelmed by all the excitement all contained in this huge convention hall….I wish you all could just once see all of this. It’s truly amazing!
Today I stay in my booth…assuring shop owner they NEED all of my stuff, my wools, my patterns, my Moda fabric line, my Valdani threads…and so on…I want every one/shop to be as successful as Primitive Gatherings is… And I help them with everything they ask me about…How do I start wool in my shop? How should i display it, how much do I need to get started… How do I get all these samples made?..and the list goes on…I assure them wool is NOT a passing trend and it is NOT going to go away…
It is fun to see all the shop owners I have helped or taught at their shops or retreats in the past. They love me and think I am some kind of quilt goddess for sharing mu secrets and successes with them…and this is why I work so hard… This is why I am so driven…it is not just about me and never has been…
My Moda stuff…
Houston market!!!
I am still in my hotel room stitching binding…I got in late last night after midnight, I have not been to my booth yet, I feel like I am missing out!
The quilting is fabulous on this quilt and well worth the overnite shipping that went on! Just thought I would check in…will try and post every day…
Gotta keep stitching!
another long day…
Hey Everyone!…Nick wanted me to send out a post letting you all know that he and all of our stuff are in Duluth GA, for the Georgia Quilt Show…If you are in that area pay him a visit…he likes to be busy! lol….The show hours are 9-6pm Th-Saturday.
I am crossing those market patterns off my list…stitching a binding here and there and just a chuggin along here….I am so lucky to have a few people who will help me stitch and quilt all these samples featuring my new fabric line Snowman Gatherings… I would never be able to get them done in this short time from when the fabric arrives and market time…THANKS Chickies!!!!…Carole, Jean, Nancy, Linda and Pat…you all are special people as well…
I will continue to tease a little here and and there and show some of the fabric up close too…Now you have to promise me you will be patient, because this fabric does not come out until…APRIL? or May? 2013 (I think???) That is so long away…I am still waiting for Old Glory to arrive in Primitive Gathering land….I know it will be soon probably the day I leave for Houston!!!…time for me to pick up all this paper and snuggle with my puppies…Jeter feels necessary to snore louder, just in case I miss Nick…
This Wednesday through Saturday is our annual shop hop here in NE Wisconsin…Visit all of the shops and you will get a pattern from each featuring the “foxy Grandpa” block…we made a quilt and named it Great Grandpa…This shop hop is for everyone…even if you cannot come in..you can purchase online…you receive 20% off one item…see the shop blog for exclusions…you receive our pattern for Great Grandpa free with a $5 purchase and you must enter SHOP HOP in the comments to receive your coupon…it will not automatically give you the discount…we will apply it when we process…have fun and hope to see you in the shop…you can make a purchase here www.primitivegatherings.us look for this kit under NEW…
I hope I can come out for a breather soon..this week is pattern writing for Fall Market…It is yucky to say the least…i love making the projects, but hate all that computer stuff…It is hard to get all this stuff done…good thing I have some great help this year or I be in BIG trouble…Moda wants to have some of my things in their booth as well…so that means double samples!!! Here is a peek… I will post more later this week as they come back from the quilters…
