Home again…

Well I have been home almost a week now and I think I might be getting all of my stuff together…I bought a little mini computer to travel with me to the shows and I left the cord in Chicago…they just called me today to tell me it arrived in Metropolis today…so hopefully they will be sending it home soon..so I didn’t get to blog while I was gone, but I have to admit after how busy we were in Chicago and then the 12 hour days at the Mall in Paducah…til 9pm…I really don’t think there would have been much…so my house is picked up, my bills are up to date and now I can sew…here is what I did last night…the Civil War Tribute Blocks- I know this is month 3 I will get 4 done by this weekend and be current…I saw this quilt in someone’s booth at Chicago…so I must get working on it…I also have a deadline for teaching projects that need to be completed…did you see me working on this in Chicago or Paducah?  I will be teaching this Christmas Mat in July at Primitives of the Midwest….look for quiltersstation.com for info if you want to take some great classes from primitive/folk art teachers…I am leaving this pic big so you can see what is going on….Here is another thing I will be teaching at Road to California January 2011 and the Georgia Quilt Show in Duluth GA  Original Sewing and Quilting Expo…in October 2010.  This is a cute little basket of tulips…It will make a wonderful 3 hour class.  Check your calendars and come take a workshop and learn more about wool applique….On Thursday morning Nick let me out of the booth to go see the “Pavillion” I have to say it didn’t look too bad…  Maybe we will be there next year?  While out of the booth I made a quilt purchase…from the Cotton Shop in Muscatine IA…Look at my kit.  Hopefully I will get to put it together sometime soon...sometimes a girl just has to buy a kit even though she has every fabric in it in her stash…well time to get back to work…LB

Love the Christmas mat you are doing at Primitives of the Midwest (the other one is great, too!). Makes me dream of Christmas again and we’re only to the first of May. Maybe it’s just because the humidity feels like summer here in Houston. Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow! The projects are adorable! I would love to hit Primitives of the Midwest. Need to put this on my ‘to do’ list. Will be watching for the new projects to hit the store :o) Hope you had success at the shows!

Will those new projects be available sometime in your store? I know I won’t be able to travel to the Primitives of the Midwest show. They are really nice!

Love the Christmas mat! Will this be sold on the internet after the class at Primitive in the Midwest? Bet it felt good to get back home after the two shows.
