Gradually add to egg white 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat for 5 minutes.

Merry Christmas and Happy 2011 when it gets here. I just love your stuff, order things on occasion but really want to visit your shop. Keep inspiring me and showing me things I can’t live without!
Well I hope you feel better Lisa. I’ve been there and it takes a long time to get back to 100% Hoping I can win one of those prizes. I have some cute patterns I can use that fabric with. Some friends of mine are talking about coming to a retreat there. We would love it I know especially if it’s close to your shop. I’ve been there once and order online usually. Live too far away otherwise I would be at the shop all the time. Love wool and civil war fabrics.
Beautiful fabric. Please add my name for a chance to win. I will come back and share my fudge recipe but don’t have it with me right now. Lisa, I wanted to tell you I was able to purchase a fat quarter bundle of your Muslin’s you created for Moda. The quilt shop I got it from had ordered it from the quilt market sample spree. I was excited to see it. You did a great job. It is nice to have a fat quarter of each of the colors so I can know which color I want to order for future projects.
The gifts looks like a lot of fun. I have made eleven quilts for Christmas from my stash. A win would help rebuild my stash.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Congrats to todays’ three winners…….what a Merry Christmas they will have with that luscious fabric. I will remain hopeful…..isn’t that what Christmas is all about? HOPE!

Hi Lisa. Christmas is such a wonderful time of year and I wish more people would carry their goodwill feelings all year long.
My families all time favorite, have to have it at every get together is my Broccoli Casserole. Easy and delicious. And best if you can make it the night before then cook the next day before serving. Which helps with the crazies the day of the meal.
3 bunches fresh broccoli/ cleaned and cut up into bits OR 3 bags frozen broccoli
2 cans cream mushroom soup/ I mix a can of mushroom and a can of cream of chicken
3/4 cup milk
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups Bisquick
2-3 tablespoons butter
cook broccoli, drain and place in bottom of 9 x 11 cake pan that was sprayed w/Pam
stir milk into soups and pour over top of broccoli. Spread cheese over top of soup.
Mix the butter into the bisquick using a fork till crumbly. Spread over top of cheese.
Bake in 425 degree oven for 25 mins or until lightly browned and bubbly on sides.
Keep on blogging. It’s the first thing I look at on the Web everyday!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Here is a very popular Cheese Ball recipe
2 – 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

1/2 c. chopped, green onion tops
1/2 c. chopped, green olives
a generous shake of garlic salat
Combine ingredients and shape as desired (bell for Christmas, football for Super Bowl, etc).
Chill for short time then roll in chopped pecans.
Chill several hours or overnight before serving. DO NOT substitute the garlic SALT nor the PECANS.
Always a crowd pleaser. Janet
Lisa – Every year, I make this recipe for my neighbors. I baked it yesterday, dropped it off last night, saw my neighbor this morning and she told me the entire cake was gone already! The original recipe is for Irish Whiskey Cake/Bread, but they love rum across the street! So when I make it for them, I use Rum. Since I married into and Irish family, I use Irish Whiskey for our cake! The recipe is as follows:
1 yellow cake mix
1/2 cup oil
1 3.4 oz box of instant vanilla pudding (non cook pudding)
1/2 cup Irish Whiskey or Rum
1/2 cup water
4 eggs
Grease and flour a bundt pan or 2 loaf pans. Mix everything and bake at 325 degress for 40 – 60 minutes. When a toothpick comes out clean, cake is done. Cake will get brown on top. Put glaze on while hot. Cool cake 30 minutes in pan. Glaze is as follows:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine (I use butter)
1/4 cup Irish Whiskey or Rum
1/4 cup water
Boil the above ingredients for 2 – 3 minutes. Pour over cake.
Notes:
I get my glaze going right before the cake gets out of the oven. After removing the cake from the oven, I leave it in the bundt pan and poke holes in it with a wood skewer. Then I slowly pour the glaze over the cake while it is still in the pan. I let is sit in the pan for 30 minutes then tip upside on a plate. Sometimes you have to loosen the edges before you tip it out. I decorate the top with candied red and green cherries. Wish I would have taken a pic of it yesterday before I took it over there!
I LOVED your idea about melting the chocolate for peanut clusters in the crock pot!!! It would have been so much easier for all those cake balls I made ….
This recipe is delish:
Bake a German chocolate cake according to directions. When cool, break into pieces in a large bowl and add 1 tub of ready-made coconut-pecan frosting. Roll into bite-sized balls and then dip in almond bark or melted semi-sweet chocolate. You can add sprinkles, or drizzle with contrasting bark for decoration. Easy and yummy!
We have a favorite dip that is great with crackers or vegetables. Pretzel thins are great too.
Low-fat ingredients can be substituted if desired.
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1/4 cup crumbled bacon(I have had good results with the bacon sold in jars in the salad aisle)
Mix together. Chill and serve.
I have really enjoyed the recipes and find your site very inspiring.
It didn’t take me long to decide which is my favorite recipe to share. I just hope my sister doesn’t give you the same one, since we are both LB blog junkies!!!
My recipe is for Swedish Kringle.
1 cup flour
1/4 cup crisco
Sprinkle salt
1/4 cup cold water
Mix like a pie crust and pat in a round pan.(the style of pan you would put under a pie plate to keep it from bubbling over in the oven)
1 cup water
1 stick marg or butter
Cook until marg melts and its boiling, remove from heat then add:
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond flavoring
Mix well and spoon on crust. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Then frost with recipe below.

2-8 oz cream cheese (if you use reduced-fat cream cheese, use 1 of those and 1 regular or it gets
runny)
1 small can of crushed pineapple drained
1 tbsp chopped onion
1 tsp Lawry’s seasoning salt
1/4 cup green pepper
1 cup pecans, chopped
Mix all together and chill.
The original recipe calls to use 1/2 of the pecans, form into a ball and roll into the rest of the pecans- but we use it as a dip instead,
Enjoy.
Thanks for the chance to win.
Keep up the good work- you have an assortment of wonderful projects that are always so tempting and inspiring.
Merry Christma
Congratulations to the winners. Merry Christmas Eve. Pumpkin Soup recipe. Cook a pumpkin until soft. Cool. Drain the water off. Puree in a food processor until some smooth and some chunky. Fill a small saucepan half full of the pumpkin. Add a dash of salt, quarter of cup of lite brown sugar, small cubes of candied ginger, touch of cinnamon and fresh ground nutmeg. Then, add heavy cream or milk until has a thick soup consistency. Warm over a low heat stiring continually so won’t stick to pan and scorch (like milk and sugar based sauces are prone to do). Serve in small soup cups – garnish with more cinnamon if desired. Delish!
I have difficulty seeing where to post. Here goes again.

Thanks Lisa! The Primitive Muslin Jelly Roll arrived today! Hmmmmmmmm what to do with it!
I’m really glad you came out with some primitive muslins – they are great (much better than the tea dyed muslin from Marcus – just my opinion)
