I grew up in Michigan and the garage was our extra fridge in the winter. During the holidays when our fridge and freezer are overflowing I miss that down here in Georgia. Have fun at the party. We have a get together at the neighbors tonight. So nice when you don’t have to worry about driving. I will be drinking wine with you.

Lisa, be very careful that the crows or squirrels or other wildlife don’t get into your food. Sometimes I put extra goodies under the barbecue lid (make sure it’s not turned on) to keep them safe until company arrives.
    Merry Christmas

Don’t you have critters? They might be start munching on the goodies😳

That is so darn funny! I live in Florida, so it’s a real kick to see that. Also the subject line, redneck walk-in cooler…lol!

One time several years ago we were without electric power for over 3 weeks due to a horrible ice storm here in the mountains of NW Arkansas. There was nearly an inch of ice on trees and ground, and without power, we had no water (we have a well). I washed dishes with ice that I broke off of low hanging branches and heated on our wood stove. You just do what you gotta do!

That brings back memories! I lived in Alaska for over 26 years and had used my porch for extra freezer space. But it was enclosed. If it had not been the moose and bears would have for sure enjoyed my Christmas treats! Not to mention what the mischievous ravens would have done! Have fun!

We use our garage as our second fridge. Works really well.

Have a Jolly Good Time. I can use my screened in back porch for my Walkin Cooler, I live in Michigan. I think with your “Boy’s” you don’t need to worry about critters!

Love this post Lisa! I lived in Utah many years and loved the fact that you could refrigerate outside naturally….one advantage to cold FREEZING weather 😉

Great post, makes me laugh. We use our garage to store cold pop and other things in the winter too.

I use my porch or the top of the barbecue. It works great especially during Christmas with the extra food.

Oh, Lisa, I loved this post. I live in Cold country too and often use my deck as a walk-out cooler. The only problem I have is I have frozen a few things solid not realizing just how cold it actually was. Enjoy your party. Ours is Sunday night. So love to share our home and the bountiful goodness of this season.

We do the same thing in Maine. It’s also great when it’s cold and dry outside to cool down fudge!

I really miss my RN Cooler. We moved to Texas in October. Temps have been near 80* most of the time. Had to go buy another fridge to store drinks and hide Christmas cookies. Merry Christmas (I used our car, lawn tractor and every flat surface in the garage last year)

So funny!! We use our screened back porch as an extra fridge, comes in handy when baking too. Where are the dogs? They want to join in the fun!

We used to put drinks outside in the winter to keep them cold-more room in the fridge.

Hi! This is the best part of winter! I get to stock up on bread, meat etc. Great for Christmas cooking and baking and extra cooking thru the year. We used to have a 3 season room in a prev house, perfect for outside freezer! Now, I use rubbermaid containers on our upper deck, which we have secured from critters! I don’t know what I’d do without a Redneck Freezer!
    Take care, Leslie

hahahaha – we call ours a “garage-arator”. Da critters would have a field day if we left food outside. Happy Holidays everyone!!

We now have an extra frig too. It’s called a 3 seasons porch! I love it, it easily fits all the large platters of food and jello hardens real fast.

  33. Peggy Dalberto Avatar

Your “cooler” is something shared by 98% of us up north!! We have our porch to use since the threat of hungry squirrels/raccoons/skunks/and bears when awake prevents just putting outside. Hope your “coma” was good.Happy Christmas

If you aren’t in a coma, I am……….I notice that after a few seconds I see white spots moving on the screen.
I have heard that when folks get old they see something called floaters. Fearful that I had that malady I called my daughter and told her to check out your blog. She called back laughing and said “relax Mom” it is an effect that Lisa added to make it look wintery and snowy. Good grief and I thought I had an eye disfunction. LOL
Thanks it gave us all a big laugh. Mom is seeing white spots she is differet than otherslllllllllLOL

I can relate to your redneck cooler. We live in a cold winter climate as well and use our attached garage as another cooling source during the holidays. We set up extra tables and spread out! If the weather is milk in our area, we are frustrated because we loose our free and natural refrigerator/freezer.

Most laser hair removal clinics and spas have them.
The spacing of procedures is recommended to give the follicles that were in their “resting” state or not actively growing during your preceding procedure to get
in their active phase and grow hair. The pressure is on
for our celebrities to look perfect every second they are in the public eye, which is why so many of them call on the skilled hands of plastic surgeons, wardrobe specialists and now, laser hair removal experts.
Laser hair removal works by applying a laser beam that produces energy that
is absorbed by the dark pigments within the hair follicle.
Not all products give only its benefit, but always expect that
the disadvantage and the negative result is also a part of it.

While the plugins in this group don’t offer the customization options found in
many other selections, they do provide some very interesting
effects by modifying color hues or brightness and by applying special warp settings.

why so many of them call on the skilled hands of plastic surgeons, wardrobe specialists and now,
laser hair removal experts. Your case is taken up by a consultant, your medical history scrutinized,
your goals are discussed and then the clinic works hand-in-hand
with you even after you have taken the procedure.

Make sure to write down anything you did not
love about it or anything you thought was
mising. Some of the behavior deemed the most offensive was
cyber-bullying and cyber-stalking. Facebook also offers customizable
advertising and tools for analyzing your business’ success on the

Fast forward to 2013 and nearly everyone has an account from students to
CEOs. Many businesses have caught onto the fact that marketing with social media is a terrific venue through which you can advertise your product
or service and reach out to a global audience.
Facebook is an easy social media channel to test things on. Posting in the mornings
or on the weekends is a good idea. Done correctly, social media marketing is
an excellent way to draw more customers to your business.
But what this did was EDUCATE their market (with
a bit of fun) about how they could benefit by using their product.
