I am proud to be a part of this great new book!!! A bunch of my “MODA SISTERS” have combined their talents to make this book happen. ย All the designer proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry...I can’t think of a better charity…or a better reason to buy a another quilting book!!! ย To purchase the book click HERE.
But wait… there are other reasons to WANT this book…beside the fact that is it really beautiful, lots of pictures…lots of designer info…it can be used for endless possibilities….obviously you can make a row quilt…but I think they can be made into endless table runners! ย There are a ton of options in this book with the designer rows and then the Lissa Alexander has done a bunch of filler rows to go between the rows that could make a quilt by themselves! ย Like I said…an AWESOME book!
Here is my row in the book…Now if I would have known mine would have been the only dark row in the book I wouldn’t have made it a black background, but…there is no reason the backgrounds in the other rows can’t be switched to make rows with colorful dark backgrounds with lights as the main part of the blocks…or this would be fine with a lighter background too.
For more fun we were asked to do another designers row, using our fabrics or a spin on it..I was partnered with Joanna from Fig Tree, who I have so much fun with at dancing at the Moda parties with!!!..I was leaving for CA for a two week trip and this was the last thing I had to do before packing as the this will hop was happening while I’m traveling…I had so much fun making Joanna’s row that I even took the time to totally finish it all! We were told we could do a block…or whatever we could fit in our schedules…even just digitially make one…well, that’s no fun!!!! So here is Joanna’s row…very pretty, I might say…Jump on over to Figgy’s blog to see what she did with my row…HERE
I am soon (but not soon enough) going to be moving into a new house… so what better reason to make a little table runner? ย I pulled some fabric that fit into the scheme of the whole house and this is what happened…
I just LOVE it! and can’t wait to decorate the new house with it!!!
I also want to sincerely THANK the two women who were behind the making of this book…Jennifer Keltner of Martingale books and Lissa Alexander from Moda. ย I am totally in “AWE” of what these two bring to the quilting world…their creativity, leadership and wit…make you want to be in theirย presence for hours on end…I love being around them and wish I was able to work with them everyday!!! They make it so fun…I’m sure by now you have heard of the “beauty pageant” at Quilt Market…let me just say it was a a bunch of belly laughs and lots of beautiful rows!!!!!!
Here is there rest of the line up for the blog hop… visit their blogs too!!
I love your row and agree it would work with a lighter background (but not as good). The next best choice for you (and me) is a star block. The runner will look great in the new house. Cannot wait for updates!
I like your row with the dark background and think a version of the quilt would be gorgeous in any of your Gathering fabrics. And adding wool makes it even better! Nice job!
What fun! New home! New quilt runner to decorate it! Fun quilt partner to explore with in the Row by Row experience. Joanna seems equally thrilled to be working with you. Always enjoy reading your posts.
Love your runner, it will look so good in your beautiful new house! It was nice to see you and say Hi! at the Road to California quilt show. I always find patterns and wool I can’t live without in your awesome booth!
Hugs,
Debbie Johnson
I like both of your rows, especially the pumpkins! Although stars are one of my favorite blocks to make and your version was great in that colorway. Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win.
winning this book might get me started on making row quilts…I have never had interest in making them…I would rather make small quilts from the row design like you did with the beautiful table runner!
Hi Lisa, love the new rows. I checked out what happened to your row, very nice in lighter colors. I am going to follow Joanna, it is different to see light wools that are not pastel and “cutesy” Love your new runner. Is that l
Lakeside Gatherings? I hope the move can happen quickly. It gives me the urge to “do” another home. Thanks for a chance to win, whoever wins is going to be thrilled!!
Love your row also. What a sweet thing yo do for a charity as awesome as feeding the children. Any time any one helps children they are earthly Saints and you bring smile to their faces and fullness in their body. God Bless.
Your table runner is gorgeous. I was reading a translated post on Quilt Mania’s facebook page and it translated the French for table runner into “Table Path.” Really makes a lot more sense when you think about it. Enjoy your new home!
I really like the table runner you made for your new house. How exciting. I enjoy gathering all the row by row projects during the summer. This book will make it fun all year round. Thank you.
I’m very happy for you, and your family, with all the new life moments your new home will hold : ) Your dark background block is awesome, beautiful! Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful new book.

I’m am really loving this Row blog hop. This is showing how you don’t have to make a pattern following what the designer did. Make it your own. So fun to follow along everyday and see what all the designers did with the partner’s row. Loved yours!!! My Colors!!!
The blocks look awesome. I think I watched the row by row presentation event in a YouTube video or a Facebook page. It was nice to see the designers and their rows.
I too will be moving soon. Making a permanent home at our lake cottage as soon as construction is done. Love to make a table runner from the book. Thanks foe a chance.
Love the whole idea and love the book. Enjoyed your booth every day at the Road2California show! Thanks for all you do and for being such an inspiration!!! ๐

Love your row piece, and I love your new table runner, that is beautiful.
Good luck in your new home and it is fun redecorating, something i am doing and I do need to make table toppers.
I like the idea of lots of table runners. That makes the whole project just seem like more fun and then you’ll have lots of runners for decorating! Love it! I promise to buy a book and if I win one, I’ll give to my quilting sis because it is a good cause. ๐
I really like it idea of making several table runners!!!! Brilliant!! I just completed a row quilt and it turned out beautiful. It looks like there are many great possibilities for runners. I enjoyed talking with you at RD2CA on Thursday…..I bought the tiny precut tumblers!!! Will be buying the book if I don’t win.
What a fun book and for a good cause. I love the idea for table runners. And the row fillers designed by Lissa. If I don’t win the giveaway I will add this book to my wish list. P.S. I received my new Juki from the 12 days. I love piecing on it and can’t wait to try quilting !!!

You know, I think I like your take on the block with the tan, black and white. heading over to see Joanna’s take on your block now…if I don’t win I am going to buy this book. I love row quilts!
These rows are so versatile….a long table runner doesn’t work for my space, but you showed how three blocks could be perfect ! They are beautiful as are your fabrics. I’m not buttering you up, ha ha, its the truth !! Terri
Late to the Hop but catching up as quick as I can … love your row Lisa, no matter dark or light ! and a table runner too ? Do you EVER sleep ??!! Thanks for sharing and the chance to win the book … if I don’t I’ll be buying it for sure, such a good cause !
This is a wonderful cause that my group will be happy to support for sure. I love the dark background idea. Thanks for the information and links to all of the participants.
Previously I’ve never been interested in the row by row projects until now. Really like these! So many possibilities of how to use them besides a quilt.
It’s Australia Day here today, and it would be a wonderful connection with all of the wonderful and generous quilters there in the US, and especially the altruistic motives behind the book…well done!
Pick me, pick me!! Love your table runner colors!! Haven’t did a row by row in about 6 years, I should send you a picture of the last one I did, you would LOVE it!!
Such a cute book idea & donating to a good cause! Please autograph if you choose me for a winning book. My daughter is treating me at your WI shop for my upcoming birthday. Love your designs. ๐
Isn’t it fun to play the decorating of a new home? That’s the fun part, unpacking really stinks!! Love this new book and have alwAys wanted to make a row quilt. Maybe this one will be in my future! Thanks Lisa.
Awesome charity project! Love the beauty contest idea … I didn’t know of the blog hog until now so I need to get busy checking out everyone’s posts!! Too much fun! Thanks for all the info & the motivation!
Oh Lisa – your row is gorgeous — such a stand out (and not because it’s the only one with the black background)! Love that it will inspire some more rows with a dark/darker background. And that runner for your table — it will be just as beautiful as the rest of your beautiful new house!
Now I understand the reason for you in your fancy dress, wearing your row as a sash… LOL I never quite knew why before ๐ What a great cause for the book and I would love to win a copy but if I don’t well then I’m buying it to support no kid hungry
You ladies are having entirely too much fun with this row by row experience. Everything is just beautiful. Thank you so much for the chance to win the book.
This book looks awesome, all of the blocks on everyone’s sites are beautiful. You are such wonderful ladies to contribute your talents for such a worthy cause. Thanks for a chance to win.
You bet I’d love a copy of this book! I’m getting ready to make a gift for someone special, and I think a row quilt would be just the right quilt. I can tell this book would be filled with inspiration.
What a great way to raise money for a cause and who better to be involved than MODA. I love your row, along with your take on Joann’s row. Your runner is going to look gorgeous in your new house! Thank you for the chance to win a copy!
Love your row! Plus your outfit was the best! So glad you will be in your new house soon. You do amazing things yourself! Thanks for sharing them with us. K-
I got a kick out of your row being the only one in the book with a dark background. Isn’t it great to stand out in a crowd? : )
Got to go now and see what Joanna did with your row.
(BTW, I love your table runner for your new home!)
The Moda girls and guys are fabulous. Clever and talented.
Amazingly amazing!!!! The only way to say it. Good luck in the production and sale of the book. Your talent never ends.
Both your rows are beautiful and I love the black background in your row in the book and the one you with Joanna’s pattern. I’m sure it’ll look great in your new house:-)
I really love the row by row quilts. Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of the book to start a quilt of my own. And I am excited to check out all of the other blogs during the blog hop. Take care.
Lisa your pumpkin row is wonderful, and I love what you did with Joanna’s row. I am excited for you to get into your new home, and hoping you share lots of photos of your new dรฉcor once settled in! Kristy aka quilterkg
Loved your pumpkin applique row ~ it totally reflects your primitive style. Your interpretation of Joanna’s row turned out just darling and I bet it’ll look special in your new space. This book looks like a marvelously fun and creative blend of all you fun Moda designers. Would love to win it! Thanks!
My DIL made one of the quilts for the book. At the time I was amazed at all the different strips and wondered how they could be brought together and not be a complete mishmash. This book is great and I love how all the rows can be blended into a really great design. Love yours. Thanks.
