I hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday weekend…I spent the day going to the farmers market…then to the flea marketthis was one of my purchases….and then a nice ride on the boat…Our WI Badgers somehow beat the LSU Tigers at Lambeau Field which also added to the fact that it was a wonderful day! Little Man…loved my find…my boys had one of these growing up…
I’m hoping his Daddy or his PaPa can make it into this!
I thought I would finish the day by giving you another block to work on!!!
Magic of Christmas Block3
Magic of Christmas B&W
I stitched these blocks on “retreat” without my own sewing machine…let’s just say they turned out “ok”…while I really appreciated the fact that I had a sewing machine in Dallas…it was not mine and it had a totally different foot than what I am used to…so I only made the two blocks there and quit…and worked on hand work…so I’m not tally happy but I’m also not making them over either…
Hope you are liking the blocks so far…remember to post them on instagram #themagicofchristmasquilt
Hi Lisa, my nephew had one of those cars growing up too. I love the bat mobile idea! I can’t believe how big your grandson is getting!! What a cutie!! I spent the day organizing my craft room and managed to find a few missing items. Though I would’ve rather gone to the flea market, I love those and estate sales. I’m hoping to plant some crocus bulbs this weekend in the backyard for next spring. By the way, I think your blocks turned out lovely! Hugs, Jakey
Lisa, it is comforting to know that the pros even have a slight miss once in awhile…but I still think your blocks look amazing. Here’s hoping that mine come out close!
Farmer’s Market and Flea Market–that is a great day!
That Batmoblie is a hoot! Will you make the Batman costume? I guess with the approaching holiday it shouldn’t be hard to buy one.
Really like the block design–and that 2″ center block would be challenging on an unfamiliar machine.
I had fun with your Dedication Rose block pattern. Did it in black background with wool applique. I’m bordering it with 1/2″ HSTs and making a little quilt.
Please send me block # 1 instructions for “The magic of Christmas”.For some reason – – I never received it.Thank you.~ Judy

I think the diagram for this block is wrong. The triangles marked “G” that go next to the “F” parts should be “C”. I followed the color photo which is correct.
Lisa: I just became aware of your magic of christmas series. I missed block number one and can’t find it anywhere on the back issues of your blog. Could you let me know where I can go to find it? I am really glad I found Primitive Gatherings a couple of years ago and have ordered many wonderful things over the last two years.. love my two pin cushions (never can have enough pin cushions). When I saw the block 2 pattern, I decided the best way to keep up with you is to be on your email list. Since I am facebook, BLOG, Tweet, etc. challenged I don’t know any of the tools but I have discovered the “newsletter” button on BLOGS! Thanks again for sharing your posts, talent, and patterns. melinda vennard
That child is adorable! And your Badgers totally deserved to beat my Tigers A disappointing start to the season for LSU but they lost to a worthy opponent!
Lisa, I didn’t join your blog until after block 1 of The Magic of Christmas. I have blocks 2 and 3. Is there any way you can send me block 1? Your patterns are lovely. Many thanks, Judy.
Thank you for block 3, Lisa. That center star looks tricky…I might have to use some of the triangle papers for this one. Love those! Jace looks cute with his new set of wheels.
