Quickly… I wanted to let you all know Nick had a second brain surgery on Tuesday the 3rd of July ..today we are back here at Froedtert with some complications…
It’s been one hell of a morning is all I can say… but I feel better he is here now and they can take care of him.
I tried to keep this all on the down low not make a big deal about it… but that is not how it is going to happen…I have not worked much since he arrived home a day and a half after his procedure…way too soon to be put in my hands for his care…
I can’t post or if I do get a chance to be on my Phone/computer it isn’t much…just to check/delete emails and I thought by now he’d be on the mend…and all would go on…
His brain is leaking and is under a lot of pressure… so I’m sure there will be yet another surgery soon hopefully
Please say a prayer for him…
So I am asking you to be patient with me and I’ll do my best to keep up on the things that really must be done..
I know I’ve promised some posts and videos in my FB groups and other things as well but this is why I’ve been absent and might be for a bit…

Nick will be added to my prayers and you and all your family at this very stressful time. I went through cancer treatment this past winter for a form of leukemia and at the same time my son-in-law was also being treated for cancer. What you learn is that almost nothing else matters but family. Projects go on the “back burner” because appointments at the clinic, surgeries, blood transfusions, chemo treatments, reactions to meds, all those things take precedence. Take a deep breath, if needed, just put some things on hold. I have completely looked at my life and how I thought I should be living it and made some changes that lowered stress. I should add that I’m in remission but my son-in-law is still in a battle with his cancer. Remember the words of Scarlet O’Hara…..”tomorrow is another day”. Things will get better, they may be different and that is certainly the case in our family but because of family and friends we get through to that other day. Oh, and always having a stitching project to keep my hands busy was better than some medicines I was given. 😉
We’re not going anywhere. Take all the time you need for your family. Prayers for you and Nick.

Lisa, pray. My son came home from Duke University Medical Center last week after 3 brain surgeries, 1 facial nerve surgery and a month in the hospital. He was released the day after the 2nd surgery and retuned via emergency room within 36 hrs. Complications, pressure, staff infection, you name it. At least 5 church denominations praying, friends and strangers. We prayed him home. He is making great strides. In my mind a miracle – God pulled him through. Keeping you both in our prayers – God will pull him through.
I am so sorry to read this – you have both been through so much with this. Froedert is a great place for him to be. Prayers for both of you and his medical team to give him some relief quickly. Your energy needs to be with him- family first- always! Hugs 🤗

My husband is also facing a serious health issue currently. He has Membranous Nephropathy, which is a kidney disease of sorts. I hope that your doctors as well as ours can get our men healthy again. I miss my best friend not being his old self and I’m sure you are feeling the same way. Be strong my friend and know that you two are loved by many. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and that they will be able to stop this leak in his brain (or that You would miraculously heal him!)… bring the swelling down and we ask for his cognative function to not be hindered long term. Give Lisa the extra grace, peace, provision, strength, support she needs for this time. We pray for complete healing for Nick. And minister to them both, emotionally, Lord as this has taken a toll on them. Provide for Nick’s care until he’s well enough to be home. Provide financially as well Lord, as medical bills can be significant. Bless this family with Your peace and presence. Give Lisa some much needed rest. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
