Primitive Christmas Event is HERE!

Jessica has written this post for you detailing all the goodies we have for you!  I hope you love ALL the projects we have made for you.  The following photos are all free patterns with a $40 purchase, a total of 5!  Kits are available and some will sell out…but PLEASE read all the info so you know what is all going on!  I hope you have a Blessed Holiday Season…enjoy everyday of it…Lisa

It is such a bummer that this year we must have our Primitive Christmas Event only onlinePrimitive Christmas Event Click HERE

this year. This is the Event that we all look forward to the most at the Shop! We love seeing each and everyone of you come out and “oohhh and ahh” over everything that we have done to make this event a success.  It almost feels bah-humbug that we do not get to see you all, have our make and takes and of course have those COOKIES!  (I, jessica, personally live off those for like 3 days straight! Lol.)

Despite all the changes that we have had to make for this Event, I think this is going to be one of our BEST yet!  We literally have dozens of designs from Lisa to share with you all.  Some of these products a few of you might recognize from our being in our exclusive Wool Subscription Boxes.  We are releasing about a dozen of those patterns and kits to everyone for the first time. (Openings for the Wool Box starting in January will be up the first of December) We also will have just about a dozen NEW designs from Lisa that none of you have ever seen….unless you have been following her on our Stitch With Lisa Bongean Facebook Page, where she has given you a sneak peak at some of the designs.  And I think you can agree with me that they are bound to put the Holiday Spirit into you!

Lets get down to business!  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS SOME THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!

This is IMPORTANT:  If you are planning on coming to our Wisconsin Shop for the Event….YOU CAN’T! WE ARE CLOSED UNTIL DECEMBER 2!  This Event is All Virtual this year, our Shop is small and we can not social distance properly, therefor we have chosen to keep you and our employees safe by doing our event virtual.  If you are local and place an order with us and would like to pick up your order when we reopen, please put that in the comment section and we will call you when your order is ready to be picked up.

Where Will you find Everything?

You will find all the projects and goodies on our site under New Items and then there will be a little icon that says Primitive Christmas Event, click on that and you will be whisked away to Santa’s Primitive Gatherings Workshop!

How do I get the freebies this year?

Here is where somethings change from previous years.  This year when you spend $40 or more you will receive a collection of freebie patterns, a kit for our pincushion New Beginnings and a coupon book for the coming years sales exclusive to YOU.  (excludes BOMs, Pre-orders,  American Gatherings) This year we are doing downloadable patterns for all of our freebies and coupon book, by doing so you will receive 1 MORE FREE Pattern as a “Thank You” for not having to print all of the papers that normally went into your package, you do not need to do anything they will automatically come to you. You will receive the Downloads as soon as we process your order….you will receive a message from us on how to find your downloads. Now if you still would like a hard copy of the freebies and coupon book you will need to put that in your cart so that we know to send those to you. You will find the hard copy under the Primitive Christmas Icon…it is called 2020 Primitive Christmas Event Hardcopy of Free Patterns (primitivegatherings.us).  Just a REMINDER though, you will receive 1 LESS free pattern.

What are the Free kit and Patterns this year?

You will receive one Free pattern and kit for the deer pincushion called New Beginnings. Your free kit will be selected at random, and will automatically be put into your package when it is sent, meaning you DO NOT have to put it into your cart to receive it.  If you are purchasing for a friend and would like for them to be able to make it, we also have patterns available for you to purchase. ONCE AGAIN, you do not have to purchase or put the pattern in your cart if it is only for you; it will automatically go into your package.

Donner is our super cute reindeer leading our Primitive Christmas Event this year. Donners antlers are too big for the project and go right off the project! He is 7.5″ x 12.5″ when finished, we have 2 different ways to finish him. Scottie has made a white wash board that you can hang on the wall or one that you can have him sit on a table with our white wash stand. Both you will be able to find in his product information.

Happy Holiday Pillow has the classic Christmas look with a blue-grey background and a white and taupe wool applique and stitching. I could also see the Happy Holiday pillow as a framed piece as well!

Merry and Bright Christmas Quilt is 60″x70″ and uses a wide variety of Christmas fabric that we have available at the Shop. We used 2 1/2″ triangle papers to create all of the half square triangles in this quilt.

If you choose to download the patterns this year and NOT get a hard copy you will also be receiving the pattern for We Three Gnomes!!! If you do not want to download and want a Hard Copy from us, this pattern is available to purchase.

We also have so many other projects on the site that you are going to love. I just wanted to give you all an overview on how the program is working this year.

Please let us know by email if you have any questions, we would be happy to help you any way we can!

Thank you, Jessica and the Primitive Gatherings Staff

  1. This is such a great event! It will be a miracle if your web page doesn’t crash from all of “us” shoppers! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  2. Happy Thanksgiving Lisa, your family, your working family,
From Me and my family, We are so Blessed.
    Nancy

  3. Placed my order! Thank you for all the freebies…excited to get started. Wishing you a successful Christmas event.

  4. I was so excited to get on there today and got my Primative Gatherings shopping done!!! Can’t wait to get at the ornament pillow as I’m hoping to get it done for the Christmas decorating. I’d love to make those for my kids too!! We’ll see.

  5. May the holiday spirit to all of you at Primitive Gatherings be blessed with good health, peace and God’s good wishes.

  6. Another Primitive Christmas event, another day I pick up holiday projects that will keep me busy all year long until next Christmas. Seriously, Lisa, if you ever get to Boston, do stop at my house, AKA the Primitive Gatherings Museum and Workshop. Between all of the fabulous holiday projects and Liberty, Farmhouse I and II, Urban Farmhouse, Indigo, and Redwork Gatherings quilts, your genius has certainly made it much more beautiful. Looking forward to making American and Urban Farmhouse II Gatherings quilts next year! Hope another Christmas line is in the pipeline at some point in the next couple of years; when I learned to quilt, I hunted down as much Christmas and Seasonal Little Gatherings as I could find, and alas, this year, I exhausted my supply 😊. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

  7. Does any purchase over $40.000 qualify for the freebies? I have my eye on a Redwork Gatherings bundle!
    Thanks!

  8. My internet has been down since you posted! The lovely cable guy finally got me back online about an hour ago! Hurray! I can place my order! Again, another year of inspirational Christmas projects! I can’t wait to get stitching! Thank you Lisa and staff! God bless you all!

  9. I am so disappointed that I placed my order on the 23rd and still have not received it. When I spoke to Debbie yesterday she commented that IF I had been following your blog or FB posts I would know why orders were so backed up. Although I have always had success with you before, I am bothered that the attitude communicated to me was that the problem was mine because I wasn’t following you daily through social media outlets. Having been quick to place my order and carefully rereading the original blog, I did not expect the wait time to be this long or the customer service response to be so unapologetic. In this case an apology or at least an acknowledgement of how disappointing this situation is would have been appreciated and gone a long way toward furthering my ongoing relationship with your products. To be clear, I truly enjoy your products and the hard work you do but am not satisfied with the outcome of this current order and hope that in the future you will be more sympathetic and forthcoming with your customers when it is clear that you have not delivered the best service possible.

  10. I so appreciated going on to the PG site today and seeing that my order shipped!! I have been taking responsibility for my own self and my order and if I had been wondering I have seen multiple places where I could see clearly what as happening. FB, your blog, the individual fb sites for each project or the wool box one!! I could email or even get on the phone if I HAD to know. I try not to do that as I know other folks might need to call in…….. So many places to have questions answered. Not even just by the gals at the shop but even by other customers!! Everyone tries to be so helpful. Really a great set up!! In the end I have so many projects as I think we almost all agree, we could stay busy for weeks on just what we have started in our sewing rooms!! Yay!
