Hey, everyone! Ever feel like you’re stuck in a group chat trying to make plans with Mother Nature, and all four seasons won’t stop fighting over what to wear? That feels like the story of my life lately! One minute it’s snowing, and the next it’s 60 degrees and I’m outside in a t-shirt and shorts. Welcome to the great in-between that we call spring! This time of year is always like the ultimate weather identity crisis here in WI, with winter refusing to let go and summer trying to show up early. The good news is that no matter how wild the weather gets, we know one thing for sure: summer is coming!
Speaking of seasons changing, how’s your spring and summer décor looking these days? If you’re thinking it might be time for a refresh, you’re in good company! On the bright side, these gloomy months are the perfect opportunity to start leaning into lighter colors, breezier textures, and projects that bridge that painful gap between muddy spring and full-blown summer. Take my Nantucket Summer quilt for instance – I think it does just that!

This pretty quilt originally showed up exclusively in our quilt box subscription a while back, but good news – the pattern is now available for everyone! As you can see, it features two traditional favorites – half-square triangles and flying geese – what more could you ask for??? Nantucket Summer is simple, clean, and easy on the eyes. PLUS — it only takes a charm pack to get rolling! And the good news? If you’re not usually a fan of HSTs, don’t worry — my custom designed Primitive Gatherings Triangle Papers makes the whole process a breeze. Give them a try… They’re a game changer! You can grab those and the pattern for Nantucket Summer by clicking the button above!
If you’re ready for something a little bigger and bolder, let me introduce you to Starlit Skies. At 87″ x 111″, this quilt doesn’t mess around. It’s done using a mix of simple squares and traditional star blocks that come together in a layout that’s just as striking done scrappy as it is with a more controlled palette.

Whether you go all in with a scrappy design or stick to a carefully chosen color scheme, Starlit Skies is guaranteed to be a stunning finished product. With plenty of piecing involved, this quilt isn’t just a pretty face – it’s a satisfying challenge that will keep you engaged from start to finish!
Not a fan of star blocks and triangles, and prefer to skip them altogether? I get it! Sometimes you just want a quilt that doesn’t require what feels like a PhD in geometry to complete. If that sounds more like you, check out Strawberry Lemonade! No flying geese, no HSTs, and there’s not a bazillion tiny pieces to keep track of. Just good ol’ squares and rectangles keeping things about as simple as it gets!

The Strawberry Lemonade quilt is 50″ x 50″ and features Sheri and Chelsi’s Strawberry Lemonade fabric line – a lively mix of pinks, oranges, aquas, greens, and teals that scream “summer vibes” in a big way! Bold, bright, and bursting with big personality, this sweet little quilt will bring a splash of sunshine to any room of the house!
If the thought of “easy does it” makes your heart beat a little faster, then Honey Bloom Garden might be your next fling. This 72 1/2″ x 72 1/2″ quilt keeps things refreshingly simple with its clean, neutral layout that lets your favorite fabric shine without overcomplicating the process.

Made with four 5″ charm packs of the Honeybloom fabric line by 3 Sisters, Honey Bloom Garden features soft florals in airy shades of aqua, yellow, and taupe. Whether you’re after a quick weekend project or something elegant to freshen up a favorite space, Honey Bloom Garden delivers just the right mix of ease and style – no stress, no fuss, just pretty fabric doing its thing.
All Mixed Up is yet another triangle-free design that proves you don’t need a complicated pattern to make a serious statement. This quilt is deceptively easy, ridiculously pretty, and… there’s not a triangle in sight! Just add your favorite fabrics and you’re in business!

Charms, Fat Eighths, or Fat Quarters all work for this 72″ x 84″ beauty. Got a scrap stash to bust? That works too! All Mixed Up quilt gives your favorite fabrics room to shine without overthinking the layout. It’s the kind of pattern that plays nice with just about anything—bold prints, soft florals, even that wild one you weren’t quite sure what to do with… until now!
Not feeling up for a full-size quilt commitment at the moment, but still want to start something new? No problem! The Jelly Sticks Mini Quilt by Corey Yoder is the perfect little project to stitch up something sweet without going all in. At 24″ x 24″, it’s small enough to finish in a flash, but still delivers plenty of visual punch. Nobody has to know it only took you a couple of days!

Made with Corey’s Buttercup & Slate fabric line, this mini mixes warm yellows and cool grays in a palette that feels like golden hour bottled up. It’s bright, balanced, and just the thing when you want a finish that’s fast but still makes you feel like you made something fabulous… because you did!
As we navigate through the lingering chill of winter and the fickleness of spring, I hope you’re able to find the perfect project to work on while we wait for summer to start. Could it be one of these beauties? Whether you’re drawn to the soft florals of Honey Bloom Garden or the boldness of Starlit Skies, there’s no wrong choice when it comes to choosing your next quilting adventure!
