Monthly Mini Barn UPDATE!

Hey, everyone! It’s another beautiful Friday afternoon here in east-central WI, and though I’m already most of the way into weekend mode, I snuck into the studio for a minute to give my Monthly Mini Barn subscribers a quick update about a little hiccup in September’s pattern.

So here’s the scoop — if you were planning to use the Mod Podge option for the barn quilt portion of September’s pattern, you might have noticed that a pesky, rogue line of text decided to wander right over the edge of the block. Not exactly helpful when you’re trying to accurately apply it to your barn, right?

The good news is that we’ve sent out a corrected printout so everyone affected will have exactly what they need to get back on track. Please note that this little boo boo affects Monthly Mini Barn subscribers only! If you purchased your barn pattern à la carte or picked it up from our retail store, you’re all set — no action needed. For subscribers who were impacted, the corrected September printout is on its way along with your materials for October’s release, so you can get back to enjoying your barn quilts without a hitch!

In case you’re out of the loop and curious to know what this whole Mini Barn thing is all about, let me fill you in! At the beginning of the year, I started this adorable mini series featuring a seasonal wool appliqué pattern for each month, paired with a colorful magnetic wooden barn quilt to match. Each project is designed to be displayed on a handmade wooden mini barn (crafted by our very own PG carpenter Scotty), complete with a super-strong magnet to hold your interchangeable barn quilts, and handy clips to hang your wool appliqué piece.

Feeling left out all of a sudden? No worries! You can still jump in even though we’re in the middle of releasing the 10th block of 12 as we speak — just purchase your patterns and kits à la carte! All you have to do is grab your barn and the monthly patterns and kits of your choice on our website, and start your collection wherever you want. Just click the button above to get started!

I should mention that if you tried to grab a barn recently and saw them listed as sold out, that’s just because we flew through a bunch at The Great WI Quilt Show last week — what a problem to have! Don’t worry… Scotty is busy making more as we speak, and he’s already got around 12 back up on the website today. I have a feeling they’ll sell fast, so if you go to order and they’re out of stock, don’t panic. Just leave a note in the comment section with your preferred way to be contacted, and we’ll reach out to you to get one added to your order!

Now that I’ve shared all the latest Mini Barn news, it’s time to get this weekend underway! The weather’s supposed to climb back into the mid-80s over the next couple of days — it will most likely be one of the last warm weekends of the season, so I plan to take full advantage. I have some yard work to tackle, some local events to check out, and of course — some stitching to do, so I don’t think I’ll have a problem keeping myself busy. What’s on your agenda? Let me know in the comments! I always love to hear what you’re up to. Whatever you decide to do, have a great time and I will see you next week! ~Lisa

Running out is a great problem to have for a shop owner. It is adorable and no wonder! I also have yard work to tackle. The apples are falling off the trees faster than I can rake them up. The stitching is also calling my name. I love sitting on the deck when the weather cools off and stitching with a cup of hot tea or cider! Keep up the great designs.

I also just love the Mini Barn Series. I do not have it and may look into ordering it. Will you have new designs for the coming year or will last year’s designs be the only ones for it?

I may have to look at some of these. I love the barn. As for this weekend – getting the combine and grain trucks ready as we get closer and closer to harvest
