Hey, everyone!
Know that feeling when you find a cool-looking quilt pattern that’s so simple to make, you almost feel like you’re cheating? Well, this month’s Weekend Quilt release is here to prove that sometimes the most satisfying projects don’t have to fight you every step of the way!
This month’s pattern is called Pipeline Star, and when I say it’s easy, I mean everything about it is basically built around half-square triangles. In other words, if you can make a HST, you can make this quilt! There’s no fussy cutting and nothing rocket-sciency going on here — just straightforward piecing that makes perfect sense.

The forecast is calling for upper 80s this weekend here in east-central Wisconsin, and honestly? I’m not mad about it because I know it will be short-lived. Either way, fall is still creeping in whether we like it or not, which is why I made my version of Pipeline Star in cozy Primitive Gatherings Farmhouse Flannels III. If you’d like to do the same, kits are available by clicking the button above — printed patterns are included. Have your own stash? Feel free to make this quilt out of any cotton fabric you have on hand, or pick out something new! You can get your pattern in printed or downloadable digital format by clicking that same button.
What are you up to this weekend — besides stitching, of course? I’m just about to land in Houston to help represent Moda Fabrics at the 2025 International Quilt Market, so it’s going to be a busy but fun one for me… it always is! Speaking of fun, my Moda family has already been busting their tails and setting up our booth all day while I’ve been in the air, so I have a feeling I’m going to have some catching up to do!

Once I finally get to Market, it’ll be my turn to set up my portion of the booth. I’m super excited to be arriving with Joyful Gatherings II in hand, with all the projects in the project book that go with it — I can’t wait to show it off! If you haven’t seen Joyful Gatherings II yet, you can click HERE to check it out on our website! To get an even more up-close and personal look, I also highly recommend you catch the replay of this week’s STITCH with Lisa Bongean episode on YouTube. I go through each quilt featured in the Joyful Gatherings II project book and even break open a tower so you can get a taste of exactly what to expect from this juicy Christmas line. Curious? Hit the STITCH button below to watch and I’ll see you next week! ~Lisa
