It’s Never too Early for Christmas at Primitive Gatherings!

Hey, everyone — happy Friday!

I’m sitting here at PG on what might just be the most gorgeous October day we’ve had all season. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the fall colors are almost at their peak — it’s one of those days that makes me happy to be exactly where I am! My weekend plans? Finishing up the yard work (winter is definitely coming whether we’re ready or not), a bit of baking, and maybe a drive on Sunday to look at the leaves, because I’m pretty sure they’ll be gone by next week.

With the weather getting colder and the holidays right around the corner, it feels like the perfect time to talk about my next fabric line, which will be coming out in June 2026. Next year is shaping up to be full of red, white, and blue around here, so I wanted to break that up with something different. Coming this June is Joyful Gatherings II – a Christmas-themed collection that carries on the same style and feel as the original Joyful Gatherings line. Get ready for a traditional Christmas vibe with colors and prints I just know you’re going to love!

The collection has 30 fabrics total, all in traditional Christmas colors – reds, greens, and creams. It includes prints like stars, leaves, sprigs and berries, geometric shapes, poinsettias, stripes, polka dots, vines, houndstooth, and more! But here’s what I really love about this line: these are basic fabrics that don’t necessarily scream Christmas. You can use them year-round if you want, in any project your little heart desires.

What’s your favorite print in Joyful Gatherings II? It’s hard to pick just one, but for me it’s the panel! Remember last year’s Countdown to Christmas quilt with all those cute wool appliqué designs? Well, I wanted everyone to be able to make it, not just the wool appliqué lovers. So this panel includes 6.5″ printed squares featuring those exact designs – but printed on fabric instead of wool. You can piece them into blocks or use them however you like!

And for those of you who made the wool version last year and loved it? This is your chance to make another one as a gift without all the time and expense of doing the appliqué work again. It’s a cheaper, easier alternative that still looks stunning. And the best part? The panel is included in the collection tower, but you can also order it individually. So whether you want the whole collection or just the panel to make that quilt, I’ve got you covered!

In addition to the panel, there’s also a project book coming out with this line. It features eight quilts designed specifically around Joyful Gatherings II, ranging from full-size quilts down to mini. Whether you’re looking for your next big project or just want something quick and festive, there’s something in it for everyone! Just take a look at this stunning bunch of quilts…

Now here’s the important part: pre-cuts and project kits are available right now to pre-order at a reduced price, but only for a limited time. Once it goes off pre-order, the price goes up. Why do I offer the reduced pre-order rate? Because it genuinely helps me figure out how much to order. Remember what happened with Joyful Gatherings I? It sold out within two months of arrival! I don’t want that to happen again, but I also don’t want to end up swimming in overstock. Pre-orders help me get it just right, and you get rewarded with a better price for helping me out. Win-win!

Isn’t this the best time of year? I consider it prime time to start thinking about Christmas sewing! The fall colors, the cooler weather, the cozy evenings… there’s just something magical about October that makes me want to start planning all my holiday projects. I hope you’re able to get outside this weekend and soak in all this beauty before it disappears. Whether you’re raking leaves, taking a drive to see the colors, or just sitting on the porch with a stitching project in your lap, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Take care! ~Lisa

Love it all. The panel and red fabrics are my favorite. I’ll be pre-ordering for sure. It will be here before we know it. Happy leaf-peaking:)
