Hey, everyone – happy Thanksgiving Eve!
How are your Thanksgiving dinner plans coming along? The kitchen has officially taken over my entire house for the next 24 hours — at least! I’m already elbow-deep in prep, focusing on making everything come together perfectly for the family feast I’m hosting tomorrow afternoon. I’m actually in a good spot at the moment… the bird is ready to go, the cookies are baked, and I’ve got a pretty good handle on MOST of the potential chaos — so far, anyway.
Since I seem to have everything under control for the moment, I figured now would be a great time to take a little break and remind you about our special Thanksgiving holiday hours. We closed early today, Wednesday, November 26th, at 2:00 p.m. CST, and will remain closed through Sunday, November 30th. We reopen for business as usual on Monday, December 1st, at 10:00 a.m. CST. And don’t forget — shopping is always available on our website, 24/7. It’s easy to do… just click HERE to grab whatever you need!

Before I dive back into the kitchen, I need to give one last shout-out to my phenomenal shop staff for their hard work and dedication during Primitive Christmas last week — our biggest event of the year! When people say my staff is the best, believe it. They are truly top-notch! While every single one of them deserves a major pat on the back, a HUGE gold star goes to the retail shop girls, who were on the front lines handling those crazy opening-day lines with grace, humor, and one heck of a positive attitude. To prove just how awesome they are, here’s a little video of the holiday outfit fashion show they put on before opening the doors on day two — because if you’re going to face that kind of crowd, you might as well look fabulous doing it!!!
See what I mean? These girls make the term “ugly sweater” contradictory — because they are totally adorable! I truly could not ask for a better team to keep my shop running smoothly like the well-oiled machine that it is, and for that, I am truly thankful! What are you thankful for?
I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! And for those brave souls hitting the stores on Black Friday, remember to stay cool out there and enjoy the madness for what it is… it’s certainly not worth blowing a gasket over, whatever “it” may be! Playing it safe and shopping from the comfort of your La-Z-boy? Be sure to keep at least one of your eyes on our Facebook page and my blog in the next day or two… we might just have a little bit of Black Friday madness of our own in the works — we shall see! Have a happy Thanksgiving, my friends. Take care! ~Lisa
