Hey, everyone!

How’s the weather where you live? We’ve been enjoying a good old-fashioned winter here in Wisconsin, just like the ones I remember from when I was a kid — snow, snow, and more snow! I love that we’re finally going to have a proper white Christmas after several years of brown and dreary holiday seasons, but this past weekend reminded me just how fickle December weather in Wisconsin can really be — sunny and spring-like one minute, and an angry frozen tundra with temps in the single digits the next. What a tease!

After being born and raised here, I’ve learned to roll with Wisconsin’s wild weather without batting an eye (5″ of snow is coming by the time the sun goes down? No problem)! But just like driving in the craziest of conditions, even years of experience can’t prepare me for all the situations that can pop up… kind of like when I’m releasing a new pattern!

That being said, even after going through everything with a fine-toothed comb, sometimes a hiccup manages to sneak through — like just recently, for instance. I hate to say it, but my latest pattern release had one of those pesky little surprises included. Yes, unfortunately a small “boo-boo” made it into the finishing instructions for the Countdown to Christmas 2025 – Evergreen Christmas quilt-along. Thanks to an eagle-eyed customer of ours, it was spotted in the last instruction of the CUTTING section. It currently reads:

• From 2½ yards green fabric, cut 2 – 13″ squares – cut in half once diagonally – 4 corner triangles – THIS IS NOT CORRECT!

It SHOULD read:

• From 2½ yards green fabric, cut 2 – 16″ squares – cut in half once diagonally – 4 corner triangles.

The good news? The corrected version has already been emailed out to whoever has it coming. And just in case that includes you but you didn’t see it in your inbox for whatever reason, here it is for your convenience!

Before I run off, I also need take a second and remind anyone who might be starting to think about wrapping up Indigo Revival (our ongoing Wool Box project) — I know I showed my borders off last Thursday during my LIVE show, and by doing that I lit a fire under… you know where — for a lot of you, and I absolutely LOVE that — but I do have to apologize because I must have given the impression that the finishing kit is already available, which it is not. Jess estimates that it will be ready to debut mid to late January, 2026. I need to finish everything up with the quilt, plus we need to get through the holidays and our annual inventory “party” before we can even think about moving on to bigger and better things. In other words – stay tuned! It’s not here yet but it’s coming…
