Wishing You a Merry Christmas and a Happy Scrappy Quilt Show!

Hey, everyone!

Can you believe it’s already Christmas day? Between all the baking, shopping, wrapping, and yes — a lot of stitching time in the mix, December has flown by in a blur — at least for me, anyway! It seems like just a couple of weeks ago that I was thinking I really needed to get a head start on my holiday shopping this year, when in reality, I recall mentioning that way back in early summer. Time really flies!

Dare I ask… how are you all holding up? Have you managed to sneak in any stitching time of your own lately? If the answer is no and you wouldn’t mind a quick fix, I have just the thing for you — today is the premiere of our 2025 Primitive Gatherings Scrappy Quilt Show video!

As I’m sure you’re aware, I’ve been promising a walkthrough video for those of you who weren’t able to get to The Gathering to see the show in person. Well, gang, now that it’s finally over and viewing is closed to the public, Kali and I took several hours last week to film and document each quilt and its story. She then spent a heck of a lot of time editing this baby together for your viewing pleasure! Ready to watch? You can see the show documented in all its glory by hitting the link below! Special thanks to Kali for her hard work and dedication to this project — there were over 100 quilts to film!!!

In other PG news, I just want to remind you all that our retail shop and The Gathering are both CLOSED today – Thursday, December 25th, 2025, through tomorrow – Friday, December 26th, 2025, so that my staff can spend time with their family and friends. We will reopen for our regular business hours on Saturday, December 27th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. CST!

Alright, my friends, it’s time to get back to the party! I sincerely hope that you are having a wonderful holiday, and that your stockings — and your hearts — are full to the brim with Christmas joy and magic. Merry Christmas to you all from me, Nick, and our entire Primitive Gatherings family. Cheers! ~Lisa

Lisa & Your Wonderful Primitive Gatherings Team: Thank you so much for producing and sharing this video which had to be quite a challenge but you did a great job! And thanks for spreading out my entry (#122) and sharing my story….
I firmly believe that my quilting hobby is the best therapy for whatever life sends our way and has contributed greatly to my recovery. I’m sure those reading this would agree. I dedicated my work to my sister, Brenda Terranova, who insisted I get an MRI , and to Dr. Kenneth Reichert II, who removed a large non-cancerous tumor from my brain on July 18. Here’s the cautionary tale: I had no symptoms except a difference in hearing, the left being worse than the right. None of us know what the future holds…..and so I’d like to say, appreciate each day and SEW EVERY DAY!!
