Hey, everyone!
We’ve officially crossed the finish line on the UNITY Quilt-Along, and I have to ask — how satisfying does it feel to see all those half-square triangles finally reveal what they were meant to become? A year ago, we dove into this mystery with nothing but faith, fabric, and the wild promise that somehow all these lights and darks would come together into something gorgeous. And now here we are — 98″ x 98″ of scrappy, colorful proof that we can commit to something for twelve whole months without losing our minds — for the most part, anyway!
If you stuck with me from start to finish, you deserve a standing ovation and a big pat on the back (I knew you could do it)! Tell me — what did finishing this quilt teach you about your quilting style, your patience level, and your sewing skills? Did you stick with the program? Did you win a prize??? UNITY wasn’t just any quilt-along — it was a year of trusting the process, piecing block after block without knowing where it was all heading, and discovering that sometimes the best quilts are the ones that keep you guessing until the very end!
Seeing your weekly posts and watching the official “UNITY map” fill up with pins from all of the postcards we received throughout the QAL was pretty amazing — which actually brings me to the MOST fun part… PRIZE TIME! Did you catch Thursday’s LIVE show when we announced the final winners? We started with our last two weekly winners, #49 Ann Martin and #50 Robin Noel — charm packs and PG goodies are headed their way from Heidi as we speak! Then came the postcard drawing winner, Donna Parral from Belmont, WI, who walked away with a $50 PG gift card. And then the grand prize — Joanne Tubman, drawn randomly from all our weekly winners, had a serious decision to make: take a $250 PG gift card or have the guys quilt her UNITY Quilt for free. She went with the quilting, which means we get to watch them wrangle all those beautiful scrappy triangles into submission as soon as she’s finished. Congratulations to all the winners! If you missed Thursday’s show, don’t forget you can always catch the replay on my YouTube channel by clicking the STITCH button below (UNITY discussion starts at 16:50).
In other news… between the holiday chaos and the long winter break, I realized today that we’re running a tiny bit behind with one of our monthly quilt-alongs, which was supposed to release while we were all off celebrating — but no worries. By Monday, I should have December’s mini quilt release, Barbara, ready for her big debut. In the meantime, today’s Weekend Edition Quilt Series release is here to get the ball rolling! My latest addition to the series, Jolly Snowmen is live and waiting for you on the website, ready to go. Barbara will make her fashionably late entrance as soon as she gets with the program.
Jolly Snowmen is our first Weekend Edition Quilt of 2026, and it’s about as simple as it gets! To sum it up, though it may not look like it, this pretty yet practical quilt is made with three layer cakes from my Snowman Gatherings IV line. A versatile quilt that’s great for just about anyone, Jolly Snowmen features a beautiful wintry palette of blues and creams that’ll brighten up even the grayest January day. It finishes at 70″ x 80″ and will require 5 1/3 yards of backing. That’s it! It’s simple, fun to look at, and doesn’t require a life-long commitment. Perfect! Ready to add it to your collection? Click the button below to have it in time for… next weekend!

Well friends, with all this weekend talk, I’m ready to get mine started! I don’t know about you, but after being off for so long and then coming back to work full force — I need a break! Time to go put my feet up and get cozy. Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you all next week! ~Lisa
