Wouldn’t it be cool if your sewing room was equipped with room service, snacks, and a fully stocked quilt shop right next door? Sounds like a stitcher’s dream, doesn’t it? But guess what… it doesn’t have to be a dream because I can actually make that happen — at least for a night, anyway! Round up your WIPs, UFOs, and alert your sewing crew, because that’s pretty much exactly what we have cooked up for this spring at The Gathering!

Picture this: you show up Friday morning with your machine, your people, and absolutely nothing on your agenda except working on your projects and hanging out. No cooking, no cleaning, no endless to-do list tugging at your sleeve. Just open sewing time, good company, and homemade meals that YOU didn’t have to prepare, with no clean-up to worry about after.

If that sounds like just what the doctor ordered, I invite you to join us at The Gathering for a springtime Sip, Sew, Shop, and Stay overnight retreat — basically a grown-up sleepover where the gossip is good, the stitching is better, and nobody judges you for staying up all night to sew. In fact… we expect it!

For only $200 per person (plus tax and room fees), you’ll get open sewing time in a space designed with stitchers in mind, including excellent lighting, multiple cutting tables, steam stations, and large sewing tables equipped with electrical outlets. Complimentary snacks and goodies, exclusive Primitive Gatherings swag, and homemade meals are all part of the deal too — both lunch and dinner will be served on Friday, and brunch will be served on Saturday morning.

The fun kicks off Friday, April 10th with check-in starting at 9 a.m., giving everyone time to get settled in before the sewing and sewcializing begins. Check-out is Saturday, April 11th by 3 p.m., so you’ll have a good part of the day to keep stitching before you start thinking about packing up — plenty of time to make serious progress on whatever problem children you brought along.

Ok, enough of this “work” business for now — I’m on a cruise for crying out loud! Which actually reminds me to tell you… because the internet connection on the ocean isn’t exactly reliable, I had previously said that we would most likely not have a LIVE with Lisa show this week, but there’s been a change of plans. Considering that Jess is still on vacation and I’m not around, I figured that someone else could have the spotlight for once. Since Luke and Jake aren’t available, and both Heidi and Kali hid under their desks at the mere suggestion of hosting, I decided I would give Nick center stage and let him have his own show for a day — I bet you can imagine how thrilled he is! Don’t worry, he made a promise to only talk about fishing for a minute or two — we’ll see if he keeps it…

Aside from that, he’ll be also talking about a few St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and other projects to get your creative juices flowing for spring.
