Hey, everyone! It might be spring, but believe it or not, I’ve got something up my sleeve that’ll have you thinking about cold weather, hot drinks, and Christmas cheer all over again — our 2026 Primitive Gatherings Holiday Mugs are here… well, almost anyway.
Thinking back, I can’t recall a time in our 14 years of offering our exclusive holiday mugs when we’ve ever been this far ahead of the game, so early in the year. It’s truly hard to fathom that our theme is already set, the design is done, and pre-ordering for these bad boys is already open! If you haven’t heard, this year’s mug theme is the snow globe and features a charming snowman and evergreen tree design along with the year 2026.

Over the years our mugs have featured everything from stars and snowflakes to reindeer, Christmas trees, gingerbread men, ornaments, and even the fat man himself… but a snow globe? Never — until now! And that’s not all. You might recall that last year we offered two color options for the very first time, which worked out better than we expected. In fact, the response was so great that we decided to do it again! This year you’ll also have two eye candy color schemes to pick from, including Navy and Night Sky. Navy is a rich, solid dark navy that is timeless and classic, while Night Sky takes things up a notch with a dreamy two-toned look featuring speckled navy on the rim and a softer gray blue on the body.
There’s definitely a reason we’ve been partnering with Sunset Hill for all these years. Handcrafted just 15 minutes down the road from Primitive Gatherings, each one of their mugs is individually glazed and one of a kind. At 4.25″ tall, each Java Taster holds a generous 16 ounces of your favorite hot — or cold — beverage. They are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe, lead free, and have handles that won’t get hot to the touch. Not to mention, according to the folks at Sunset Hill, they “hold enough coffee to make sure you don’t blink for a week.” Perfect!
How many times in life have you promised yourself to start your holiday shopping earlier in the year, and still failed miserably? Well, here’s a really good reason to actually follow through for once — pre-orders for the 2026 holiday mugs are now OPEN! Know what’s even cooler? As a thank you for pre-ordering, now through October, 2026, we’re waiving the usual additional $5/mug shipping fee and offering them to you for just $32.00 each + our flat-rate shipping. Please keep in mind that since each one is made specifically for you, a non-refundable $16 reservation fee is required when you place your order. The remaining $16 will be charged closer to the ship date in October, 2026. Want to wait until closer to Christmas to pull the trigger? That’s totally fine too… but please remember that due to extra shipping/packaging requirements, mugs purchased after the designated pre-order period will be $37.00 + flat-rate shipping.
Early or not, I’m over the moon at the thought of having at least four or five Christmas gifts figured out for this year already — and the snow hasn’t even completely melted from last winter yet! Awesome… I’ll take it! Speaking of snow, do you have any left where you are? There’s definitely still piles of it around, but it’s melting fast and I’m not sad about it! Winter is fun but I’m ready for warmer weather. Maybe my homies in Wisconsin will get lucky this weekend and they’ll see some sun… either way, it won’t matter to me what it’s doing there since I’m going to be enjoying the next couple of days hanging out with my good friends Joyce and Vegas Val in Nevada. We plan to relax a bit tonight before heading to the Laughlin Event Center tomorrow to catch a Lainey Wilson concert. I wish I could take you all along — it’s going to be a great time! As always, I’ll try to take some pictures, but no promises… Have a great weekend, everyone and I’ll see you all next week! ~Lisa
