Welcome to the 2023 Bountiful Charity Quilt-Along Information Page! Here you will find general information on this annual charity quilt-along event, hosted by Kimberly Jolly and the Fat Quarter Shop. Over the past decade many participants have made and donated a specially designed fundraising quilt in order to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, myself included. I always love a good charity quilt-along because I think it’s especially meaningful to help others with my own hard work and skill. “Bountiful“ is definitely by far one of my favorites to participate in and I can’t wait to see how much my quilt ends up contributing!

The reason I decided to quilt along with this fundraiser is simple… I love kids! This yearly charitable event was designed with the sole purpose to benefit children in need. Make-A-Wish is a phenomenal organization for kids who need a little extra help facing adversity in life. This stellar group of people has been making wishes come true for children with life-threatening conditions and their families for over 40 years. Granted wishes give the kids and their loved ones much-needed joy, strength, and most importantly hope. Make-A-Wish has collectively granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world since it was founded in 1980. How awesome is that?!

This year’s quilt was designed by the beautiful and talented Corey Yoder. Her quilt, “Bountiful” is a bright and cheerful sampler quilt that features flowers, butterflies, and baskets. It will finish at 64″ square making it a nice throw sized or wall quilt. 

Thank you so much to those of you who have already contributed by quilting-along and making donations. As of September 18th, 2023 the event has raised over $60,000 for Make-A-Wish. Though the quilt-along has already completed, you can still participate and help with this wonderful cause by downloading the FREE PDF patterns on the Fat Quarter Shop’s blog, The Jolly Jabber. Fat Quarter Shop encourages you to donate just $10 for the use of each free quilt pattern, or a total of $50. Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will match up to $30,000 of the donations raised! IT’S RAFFLE TIME!

Now starts the fun part… Time to raffle off some amazing quilts so we can raise even more money for this great cause! Now through Saturday, September 23,rd 2023, by purchasing a $10 raffle ticket from the Bountiful Charity Quilt Raffle you have the opportunity to not only win a beautiful quilt, but also to make an impact on kids facing adversity in their lives!

Ready to help out? It’s easy to enter the raffle for a chance to win a quilt made by a top designer for your very own! Raffle tickets are available for $10.00 each by clicking the button below. You will then be directed the Make-a-Wish Raffle Page where you can make your selection and purchase your tickets. Once you get there, you will be asked to sign into the secure portal by email, Facebook or Google before entering in your payment information. The raffle page will allow you to buy multiple tickets for one or more quilts, and you can return later with your secure sign-in if you would like to purchase more tickets.

100% of the proceeds from the charity raffle will benefit Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas to support their work for children with critical illnesses. Don’t wait… The charity quilt raffle is only open now through Saturday, September 23!!!
