Hello, and welcome to Lisa Bongean’s Antique Quilt & Pillow Series Information Page! The Antique Quilt & Pillow Series is a series of antique quilt patterns from Lisa’s personal antique quilt collection, each paired with a brand-new pillow pattern designed to complement the quilt.

THE QUILTS:

Did you know that there are over 800 quilts in Lisa’s personal antique collection? From auctions to quilt shops to flea markets and garage sales, these beauties have been lucky enough to find their way into the hands of the queen of primitive quilts herself. While many of them are tucked away in storage and not often on display (because who the heck has space to show off 800 quilts!?), if there’s one thing Lisa loves to do, it’s show her treasures off — which is exactly how this series came to be! These quilts deserve to be seen so it’s time to bust these old classics out and enjoy them again in a modern day light — one quilt at a time!

THE PILLOWS:

Each quilt in the series also has a coordinating pillow to accompany it. These unique pillow patterns aren’t simply scaled-down versions of the quilts — they’re brand new, original designs created by Lisa to capture the character and charm of the antique quilt it was designed for. Whether you make just one or collect them all, each pillow will add another layer to the story behind the quilt it was inspired by, and make a beautiful complement to the finished project.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each month, a new pattern set will be released. Sets will include the pattern for one of the vintage quilts in Lisa’s collection, along with the pattern for a NEW pillow she designed to go with the quilt. PLEASE NOTE: the patterns for the quilts will be instructions on how to duplicate the quilts — they are NOT MODERN REMAKES. Quilt patterns are as close to the original as we can get.
