Hello, and welcome to the Joyful Gatherings II Quilt-Along Information Page! Here you will find everything you need to know about how to participate. This is a Christmas tree-themed quilt-along that will run from September 8th – October 20th, 2026.

THE QUILT-ALONG:

Starting on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, each week we will focus on five blocks of the Joyful Gatherings pattern, starting with 1-5 the first week, 5-10 the second week, and so on. There will be a total of 25 main blocks all together. On the sixth week, we will focus on the final cornerstone blocks. THE QUILT:

If the quilt featured in this quilt-along looks familiar, that’s because we are making the same Christmas Tree quilt that we did two years ago with the original Joyful Gatherings line. This time around, it will be done with Joyful Gathering II, which is made up of traditional reds, greens, and creams, and be 92″ x 94″ when finished.

PRIZES:

Of course, there will be prizes along the way for people who are stitching along with a $250 grand prize at the end to put toward quilting or a gift card to the shop! To participate, all you have to do is take a photo of your progress each week and then post it in my STITCH with Lisa Bongean Facebook group by the end of the week. PLEASE DO NOT POST PHOTOS AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU ARE WORKING AHEAD! Photos of work done outside of the schedule that do not correlate with the week the QAL is on will not be considered for that week’s prize.
