OMG! It’s starting to look like a building….Merry Christmas to me!

They have moved onto the footings in the retreat house.  This is the back porch below.  The retreat house footings will move fast and will be done by the end of the week..

Monday the steel building will come for the warehouse and the following week the crew will start to assemble the walls…

This is the north side of the building…the loading dock where the semi trucks will bring deliveries….

 

This photo shows the center block wall of the warehouse building….and all the gravel being brought in to fill in the site…

Here is a bunch of topsoil…I can’t wait to plant on the remaining land…

This week’s cookies for the work crew…Peanut butter M&M Chocolate Chip cookies….I am perfecting recipes for our retreat house and hopefully showing the crew that I care about them…it can be pretty cold out there…They are pretty quite when I am around…I hope they like that I bring them.

A lot is happening, but not that shows up in photos…all for now, see you next week…LB

12/2/2020- I will try and post on every Wednesday…I have tuesday morning jobsite meetings…that is when I bring the crew the cookies…I have done so 5 weeks in a row…kind of proud of this fact.  I am starting a recipe book for what we will be serving at the Retreat house…Cookies and milk are a must!  This week’s cookies…

They are starting to backfill and compact the exterior walls.

11/25/2020  –I found a little time to start this journal of building our DREAM shop, warehouse and Retreat house…I will try and share all the details each week…and now that a month or so has gone by there is some things to show…

The first picture is Brandon and I….He is the man with money…He was in my corner from the beginning to sell my dream to the bank board and make this happen…

Corey,  from Keller, the builder…Collin, site panning and surveying. Jim and Keith from Keller…Mike and Brad…my brothers from August Winter who will take care of the HVAC…This is the crew that will be hands on building the actual building.

The Town of Winchester crew..they were on-board from the beginning and made this easily happen with zoning and permitting..I could not wait to run up this hill and let the excavating begin!

Here, we brought the boys out to have some fun…

We tried flying the dragon kite…no wind…

My grandson’s had a blast with the big trucks….one is a little more cooperative for pictures than the other.
