I really have won already by being able to quilt, inspire, design and teach for a living… that will always be more important than an award…but recognition is always flattering!

Now…I have been working pretty hard lately…I have 4 of 12 new flannel quilts done for my new book that will be at Spring Market!  I have most of the decisions made and that is the hard part, making the quilts is easy!!!…promise to blog more…while I am working…

I also am trying to workout more…right? can you say wedding??? I actually had 2 tennis lessons last week and played on a league one night and  drills with another couple of girls…not bad for my first real tennis adventure…I wanted to do something fun instead of the treadmill or you know…boring stuff like work out with a trainer (I know my drill sergeant doesn’t read this so I am good)…so it is Tennis for now…I have alway been pretty competitive…could you tell or not?

I went to a benefit last night …won a silent auction quilt and the 50/50 raffle money of $554….which I donated back for the fundraiser…Do you know how awesome that made me feel?  I still am smiling about it!  Besides, I got a quilt that was worth much more than I paid for, made by a wonderful quilter…will show you the quilt in my next post…Piece out…LB
