Drum roll…Here they are!

I know many of you have been patiently waiting for these…They are the start of my block of the week that we will be doing at our quilt shop, Primitive Gatherings this summer.  They feature our own hand dyed wools and will be a little more primitive than what I have done in the past…go get on the phone, tell your friends and let do this together this summer…

Did you know I am going to only work part time this summer? Yes, probably only 40 hrs instead of the usual…But I want to do some fun things..and some not so fun things like lose some weight!  Maybe by telling you all this I will have to stick to it!…You can keep me accountable or you can join me…I am not joining any group, I know they work, but I don’t work that way right now…I am dusting off my bike, rollerblades and going to buy another pair of tennies…I’m a tennis shoe junkie…every time I think about exercizing more I go buy a pair…I also have a Gold’s Gym membership, so I will try a few more classes this summer, I might even go buy a kayak with George B’s money he decided to give to me that I will have to pay taxes on next year, that’s a whole other conversation..back to the subject …I know how to eat “right”…I just love to eat…I don’t like to microwave so there a few more things that won’t work for me…so its just to get moving….So maybe this blog thing will help me in more ways than I thought…Are you with me?

    Hey Lisa,
Welcome to blog world! It will be nice to see what you’re up to. The Homestead Rug is awesome and I can’t wait for the group photo when lots of log cabins will be done. A few of us gals use to ‘weigh in’ every wednesday morning and share what worked, what didn’t . We didn’t want to ‘join’ another program either. I’ll be rooting for you and me both to crank-it-up a notch on the exercise now that the weather is nice. I won’t be doing anything water related….me chicken….but I will be out walking a few pounds off!
Great book! Just got mine. Love the full size patterns inside. Patsy

Hi Lisa! A package from Primitive Gatherings always cheers up the mail and my day. The 2 Gallon Crock kit arrived today along with thread for the Salt Box and Geranium Baskets table mats I bought at Rosemont. Your booth was so lovely and it was fun to meet you. I’m all signed up for the summer weekly blocks. Looking forward to the kits from the new Primitive Christmas book, too. Projects look yummy. I’m with you on the trying to get moving to drop some pounds. Too bad stitching & quilting don’t burn up more calories:)

I can’t wait to get the primitive block of the week! I went to the website to put my order in for it yesterday.

I’m a little ahead of you on the weight loss bandwagon. I started the week before Christmas. Yeah, bad timing I know but so far it’s workin’ for me. I’ve lost 82 pounds since then. I’m doing low carb, basically the 2 week induction portion of Atkins.

I’m signed up for salt water kayaking lessons and next month for my birthday I’m going to celebrate by going sky-diving. Gotta love it!
