Liz Armstrong’s- Lisa’s Garden )different setting

Liz Armstrong from IL sent me this photo of how she set the BOW…I thought you all might want to see it.  I love it….she is going to put a little applique in the corners… Thanks Liz for sharing your quilt.

I have been sewing more nine patches and going to football games…Nick is the head coach of the Menasha Freshman team …he is also the Quarterback coach for all three teams.  Luke my middle son..is the defensive coordinator for the Menahs JV team.  Jake the youngest son, is the Linebacker and running back coach for the freshman team also.  I am very proud of all of them and the hard work they put into those kids and preparation that goes into each week…The Varsity Team plays Appleton North, which is “the best team” in the conference.  I watched our Varsity team play the Oshkosh North team last week beat them 50 something to 14ish…it was amazing to watch…I think the starters were out in the 3rd quarter and everyone on the JV team played and scored…Our Varsity team was one of the best I have ever seen.   I didn’t know who had the ball, after the handoff, the deception was so good.  I hope they do well tonight again ANorth, and I hope the weather doesn’t play a role…it is windy and cold and rainy…we went from 85 to 60 in a days time…GO BLUEJAYS! GOOD LUCK!

What a beautiful quilt. I love the setting. There is something about a nine-patch quilt set on point!

Kuddos to Liz on her way of finishing up the quilt. I have something similar in mind and have purchased more of the antique muslin to make it bigger. I have thoroughly enjoyed the project. The little flowers are so happy looking. You did a wonderful job designing all those blocks Lisa and picking out the wool colors.
Just something I noticed in the picture. The bottom row of flower blocks… three from the left side. The block is upside down? Was this an intentional error? I suspect it was. 🙂
Thank you for sharing the picture.

Hi Lisa, This has been a really fun quilt to make. You sure know how to do them right! I’ve done all the BOW since you started them. Each spring, I look forward to finding out what Summer BOW will bring!

Will we have an option to get a finishing kit to ‘go’ with the blocks or do we purchase on our own from you? Would like to know how much fabric, etc…could figure it out myself, just wondered what you had in mind for us. Yes, Liz’s quilt is beautiful!

Congrats on the Football teams. Volunteering and giving back to the community is what this country should be about…even if they get paid, they are giving back more than the money amount they get, I’m sure.

Thanks for another great Summer project…and the freebie…That was just as great!!!!!!!!!

      THANKS KATHY
FOR BEING SUCH A LOYAL CUSTOMER. I ALSO KNOW YOU HAVE WON A BLUE RIBBON WITH AT LEAST ONE OF THOSE BOW’S TOO! I THINK IT WAS FOLK ART ALBUM. YOU WILL BE RECEIVING A FINISHING KIT…WE ARE WAITING FOR A FEW MORE YARDS OF THE BORDER FABRIC TO SENT THEM OUT. I THINK WE HAVE OVER 100 TO SEND OUT YET, AND THEY WERE SENT OUT ALPHABETICALLY…SO IT SHOULD BE ARRIVING SOON AND THE HOLIDAY WILL HOLD IT UP A LITTLE TOO…

You remember me! Thanks! Yes, I did win, actually 2 Blue Ribbons with Folk Art Album. I really should say WE won…I could not have done it without your design and choice of colors.

I am hoping to enter this one, too.

Congrats to ALL the guys for their big win. My son played OT and DT in HS and he played a year in college and I loved watching him play. Now, he’s all grown up. 🙁 I miss those days.

Thanks for the info. I’ll be checking the mailbox after this long weekend.

I have a great memory…I did miss the football games, Jake graduated in 08 so I missed not going last year. It is amazing how I really do not know one kid personally on the team, but Nick and I have supported this football program many years in many ways…so I still feel like I am a part of it all. One of the things we did this year is to buy them new practice jerseys, so they don’t look like a bunch of bums with all the mismatched and ill fitting garments. They can hold their heads high on game day and on practice days where all the real work in done.

Also you can quickly melt away Digital video disc from the training video photo with the VIXIA HF S200 as
it’s that will work with Canon’s DW-100 Video Burning.
However, this option may not be that attractive after all if you learn of the limitations
of waterproof camcorders, especially the consumer models.
The Sony 1080i Professional HDV Camcorder, Model: HVR-A1E HDD
comes outfitted with the best in video features
and technologies, which will allow you to record brilliant videos.

‘I believe that this is the best camcorder available for under 4,000.
