Well, with everything that you’ve had on your plate these last several weeks…..this would be a minor oversight.

Hi Lisa,
I have looked at several Wallmarts here in S Ca for the cookie jar and can’t fine them here.
Can you tell us the dimension so that maybe I can search for something similar.
Thank-you

Hi Lisa,
you don’t know me, but I have ordered from your store a few times. I read your blog and have been watching the different cookie recipes. Anyway, my oldest daughter was home from college and was wanting to make some ginger cookies. I was like I know of a new recipe, so she made yours, we were like these are pale looking and they didn’t look like yours. Everyone seemed to like them anyways, fresh out of the oven, we have a big family. I laughed later when I read they were missing the molasses. I called my daughter at college, she just laughed.

Now that is funny…I can’t believe I didn’t double check the ingredients…i am always so worried about spelling and such, that I didn’t make sure i had all of them…well that is how we learn…i am sure the cookies were good as long as they had all the other stuff they just didn’t have the punch of the molasses…so try them again…and let me know…LB

I mixed up the cookies last evening and thought the dough was a little dry but I put them in the refrigerator with plans to bake them tonight. I used part butter (have to have a little butter) and part Crisco and I was wondering if that made it too dry but the flavor was great. I had to smile when I read your note this morning. I just warmed the chilled dough a little and added in the molasses and they baked perfectly. They passed our taste test so they’ll be part of our Christmas cookie list for years to come!
