Hope you recover soon. Need more of your wonderful designs. So, what’s the problem with the potato? Isn’t that how they’re suppose to look?

I hope the surgery went well and you recover quickly.
Yes I agree that is a potato. I like seeing them that way instead of smelling them like I have been dealing with lately. Potatoes are not keeping well this year. I love the mat under your beautiful arrangement.

I check your blog every day and love when there are pictures and new offerings. I think you asked for a recipe to be included in the chance for a gift… if I misread oh well enjoy the peanut brittle and thanks for your inspiration. Hope you are feeling well…

    1/2c light corn syrup

-mix sugar and corn syrup in large microwaveable bown until moistened. microwave for 5min…..(owl will be hot…use pot holders).
-stir in butter and peanuts, microwave 4min until golden brown.
-add bakind soda and vanilla ( mix may foam) stir up and immediatly spread mix as thin as possible onto the baking sheet….pop in freezer to cool….break into pieces!!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing you the best. I made cake balls for the first time and everyone loves them and thinks they look wonderful. You make a cake the usual way…when it is warm you crumble it out of the pan into a bowl….mix with 3/4 can of frosting. Once mixed let cool for about one hour. Now roll into balls about the size of melon balls. Freeze for about 6 hours dip in melted chocolate and add sprinkles….just that easy. Blessings, Dianntha

The main thing now is for to rest as much as you can. It is hard to do so, but, if you take it easy now life heels sooner. Blessings. Dianne

Boy you recover fast!! I’m still trying to get ready for the Holidays so my usual recipes will not be used this year. I have taken the easy way out and purchased 3 tubs of cookie dough from a local grocery store. I am going to try and use the peanut butter cookie dough to make the cookies with the Hershey Kiss, hopefully it will work out. Wish me luck!? Love your display of goodies, please count me in. I have taken the week between Christmas and New Years off from work and hope to get some major time in my sewing room. I wish you and your family a wonderful Holiday Season.

Merry Christmas Lisa. Good Health. My recipe is for “Christmas Eve Beans”
It’s a tradition at our house. 1 lb. ground beef, 1 medium onion, chopped,
    1 can (16 oz.) baked beans, undrained, 1/2 c. ketchup, 1/3 c. packed brown
sugar, 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce, 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no
longer pink; drain. Transfer to a 5 qt. slow cooker. Stir in the remaining
ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or until heated through.

We are all excited here in Florida for our April & May trip to your retreat… me especially… since I get to come TWICE!! Merry Christmas to you and Nick. Give each other a big hug from all of us as the Olde Green Cupboard!! “Ping”… that was a rubber band shot at Nick! hahahahahaha!!! Hugs to all! Gloria

You have sooo much energy, even while recovering, hope you are feeling better each day.
Loved the Holiday Blog. Enjoyed seeing what goes on all over the country.
I have a simple jello we enjoy at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
One small pkg raspberry jello, one cup hot water, one cup cold water, 3/4 cup cranbery/orange relish(festival deli), mix all and then fold in one small package(thawed) frozen raspberries in syrup (10oz). It’s simple and festive.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the entire staff.

Lisa, Thank you for all the work you do to bring such a nice blog to your readers. Hope your recovery is well underway. I visited a few days ago yet wordpress didn’t want to display comments, so glad that I could return. Merry Christmas!
p.s. my Mom said to me today – what are we going to do? I don’t have anything chocolate for Christmas. Do you think that my chocoholic desires came from her.
