its time to start making the wedding quilt!

My youngest Jake, (who some of you met in Paducah) has asked his girlfriend of many years(since they have been in high school) to “Marry him” last Saturday night…they met us on Sunday at the boat and told us…we then went out for dinner with them and Lauren’s parents, Bill and Gretchen to “celebrate”…it is so nice to come home to good news…here is a pic of the happy couple…other than this news, I have been cleaning closets and working on quilting my all wool quilt along with the BOW!

Keep Stitching! …now what kind of quilt am I going to make for Jake and Lauren…should it be “my style” or theirs…maybe a combination….but I better start now…there is no date yet but you know how fast it will be here…LB

  1. Lisa, I am so happy for you and your family. Enjoy every moment of the preparations for this marriage. It seems like such a long time ago when I was in your shoes! Whatever you make for a wedding quilt, I know that it will be wonderful! I am having such fun with the BOW. Thank you for all of your inspiration and good service.

  6. Great looking couple. Congratulations. Weddings can be pretty busy time. Maybe a one or two year anniversary quilt instead!

  7. Congratulations!!! That’ll make you a MIL!!!;-) Make the quilt YOU like, they will love it, if not now, eventually they will. You might let them each choose one color but make the design yours, and a surprise.
