golden quilters awards 2013 copy

I have beennominated!!!!

All I can say is WOW!  How COOL is this?

There is no quilter’s Hall of Fame….but there are the Golden Quilter Awards…

These are 12 awards given to quilters, quilt shops and so on…Please stop on over and vote for all of your favorites!!!  All you have to do is click, it is that easy…

Here is where you go to vote:  SewCalGal’s

Here is what you can vote for:

  1. Best Quilt Designer
  2. Best Fabric Designer
  3. Best Quilt Book Author
  4. Best Teacher/Instructor
  5. Best Quilt Store (physical)
  6. Best Quilt Store (online)
  7. Most Innovative Product (software)
  8. Best New Product Introduced in 2012 (physical)
  9. Best New Product Introduced in 2012 (software)
  10. Best Quilt Book Published in 2012
  11. Lifetime Achievement Award

You also can see who has won in previous  years!!!

Voting ends in 11 days!

I really have won already by being able to quilt, inspire, design and teach for a living… that will always be more important than an award…but recognition is always flattering!

Now…I have been working pretty hard lately…I have 4 of 12 new flannel quilts done for my new book that will be at Spring Market!  I have most of the decisions made and that is the hard part, making the quilts is easy!!!…promise to blog more…while I am working…

I also am trying to workout more…right? can you say wedding??? I actually had 2 tennis lessons last week and played on a league one night and  drills with another couple of girls…not bad for my first real tennis adventure…I wanted to do something fun instead of the treadmill or you know…boring stuff like work out with a trainer (I know my drill sergeant doesn’t read this so I am good)…so it is Tennis for now…I have alway been pretty competitive…could you tell or not?

I went to a benefit last night …won a silent auction quilt and the 50/50 raffle money of $554….which I donated back for the fundraiser…Do you know how awesome that made me feel?  I still am smiling about it!  Besides, I got a quilt that was worth much more than I paid for, made by a wonderful quilter…will show you the quilt in my next post…Piece out…LB

Wow, you need to get a Powerball ticket or a state lottery ticket! Winning a quilt, cash and the lake house lotto! And probably several “quilter’s Oscars” as well! Off to vote now! Best wishes!

Love your cabin, how you made it yours, your dog and your bed quilts! Beautiful! Hope your old/new cabin turns into your dreams, and Jeter can fling himself into the clean lake water 🙂

Love the house, and what you have done to it!! You are incredible. When is the book “Lisa’s home design and style” coming out?? You have more than enough ideas to photograph from the Gathering, the lake house etc to fill the pages and excite the mind!
