Fall decorating…

I am so excited…I have to share my Fall decorating…do you want to know why??? It hasn’t happened in years!!! Too busy in the Fall… and it just didn’t get done…but now I don’t care how busy I am, I am taking some time to do some of the things I miss…so please enjoy a couple of my pics…and I have labeled the items as to who designed them…the reason they are in my house is we no longer have them in the shop as kits, but the patterns may still be available…so please I am not trying to “sell” here…I just want to share my decorating…Do you have your house decorated and enjoying the start of fall?  Farmers markets…apple crisp…pumpkins…and our trees are just starting to turn…all for now…LB

I live on a lake in beautiful Butte Des Morts, WI. I have three sons: Lance (forever 29), Luke 33, Jake 32, and two grand-babies, Little Man and O-Bug. I've been married to the love of my life Nick, since 1998 when we started our crazy adventure together! I am a quilter, rugger, and gardener. I also love to cook when I get the chance. Thanks for visiting and supporting Primitive Gathering Quilt Shop where I try to bring you the best Moda fabrics and wool projects anywhere!

  1. I love your fall decorating, it looks so cozy and awesome. Beautiful fall quilts and gorgeous mums. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the colors and smells. Jeter is not going to get too far from you it looks like, very sweet.

  2. I am just enjoying the pictures and noticed how Jeter is posing in the pics…..LOL…to funny. Nice job on the decorating. I also miss doing those fun things. Fall is my favorite time of the year. The colors are the best!! Good Job!!!!!

  3. It all looks fabulous Lise – love the pumpkin quilt. I have vases of sunflowers but we don’t seem to get such big pumpkins here in the UK – all on a smaller scale! Will have to try though as your porch and home look so inviting!

  4. Forget decorating at my house–I just want to come and live at yours!!
I see that I am going to have to make a sister quilt to your little dark Lori Smith table topper. That one sings to me–and I think I even have the pattern. : )

  5. Looks so good. I am inspired. Gonna decorate today. I haven’t either for years. Gotta take more time for the “good” in our life. Thanks for the inspiration.

  6. Thanks for sharing. Floods have been our focus. Its nice to think ahead to the crisp days of Fall and beautiful aspens!

  7. Hi Lisa, I LOVE your decorations!!! The pumpkin quilts are gorgeous. I am currently making the small one on the table with the spooky guys. Decorating for Fall is one if my favorite things, and you have inspired me to get busy!! I always enjoy your pics, and I appreciate that you tell us who the designers are, as I am ever curious. Hugs, Jakey

  8. Thanks for the inspiration! I did change a couple table runners. And I got a pumpkin and a couple squash the other day at the local farm stand! The leaves are beginning to turn!

  9. In your first photo – I see someone hiding behind the door – WAY TOO CUTE! I love all your decorating. I wish I could do the same but work is the way. Also, the house is in remodel mode and when its done I’ll really get crackin on the season. I want to make the October Patch so I’ll have to visit the website for the pattern and as much of the fabric as I can get. Thanks for sharing. Love your photo’s and captions. Marlene

  10. Love Octobers’s Patch and the small table mat with the dark background. After years of adhering to bigger is better (why make a throw when it could be a double, why make a twin when it could be a queen?) I am starting to live table toppers! It means I actually get something done!

  11. I love it when you show your style in action. Please do this as often as you can. Your lake house is another great post. Thanks!

  12. Thanks for the sneak peek of your decorations! Really like Gordy’s Gang, need to make it for my daughter since she likes all things pumpkins! 😉

  13. Fall is my favorite time but it is also a time that I don’t decorate much. Love everything that you do. Isn’t it great how our pets always want to be the star of the show?

  14. Lisa, you make me smile with the decorating. Great job, very inspiring, sigh, here up north the trees are really starting to turn and we are seeing wild turkeys working the sides of the road. I miss the hummingbirds, but the nuthatches and juncos are working the yard. Say hi to Terri.

  15. Lisa

Your adorable dog Jeter in the background of your pictures made me smile. Dogs are great and he obviously loves your decorating.

  16. Jeter – photo-bombing? That’s pretty funny. Though maybe he just wanted to get a better look at the gorgeous decorations. 🙂

  17. Looks wonderful – I realized awhile back that when I don’t make time for what makes me tick I become a cranky girl lol – glad your making time for what makes you tick :). Love Jeter in the pics – always fun to see the pups.

  18. I love the Give Thanks pumpkin with the flowers and the flag that is located next to the porch swing. Is this a pattern or a wood sign? I would love to have the pattern or know the source.
    Thanks very much,
    Karen L.

  19. Your fall decorations are just lovely both inside and out. You do a fantastic job. My favorite quilt is Octobers Patch and was fun to see Jester in the photos lol. Thanks for sharing!

  20. Ahhhhh I just love fall and your decorations are wonderful! Thank you for sharing with us, I just love when I get to see a little into the lives of my favorite designers!!!!

  21. Lisa, your house, quilts, yard, and decorating look beautiful. So glad you had some time to decorate and enjoy. I love the fall, my favorite time of the year. So cute that Jeter snuck into your photos.
