You probably have figured out that I am home from 5 days of teaching in MN (because I am blogging)…I have met some wonderful ladies and had the pleasure of sharing my knowledge of wool appliqué and embroidery stitches with them…I love MN because they all talk the same way I do…no one comments on “my accent”…Its just like being home…I taught at the Minnesota State Guild and then at Sew Seeds Quilt Co in New Ulm MN…The shop is owned by these 3 lovely ladies pictured here…

I know what you mean about the Wisconsin accent. My sister and her family have one. 🙂 But I lost mine when I married a career military fella and started living in other parts of the country. When I came back from living in Florida for three years, my aunt jested about my NEW accent.

Hi Lisa. I have done all the appliqué for the table mat. I am kinda stuck on the crazy stitches. In your picture the gals have a handout with some stitches. Was this with the mat pattern? Or available as a resource on your blog?

It looks awesome….wish I could have been there. I work at a local elementary school so I have the summers off however there aren’t many classes offered in the summer by our area quilt shops. I am however trying to locate some of your fabric with the burgundy background with little sheep all over it (Americana). How can I locate some? Our shop in New Hampton, Iowa is out (that’s where I purchased my original piece). Thanks so much.
