We are having a blast at the Grand Rapids show! I love seeing all my past students from Cousins, Bittersweet quilt shop and Darlene Bowmans retreat house…..and the best news is Linda entered “words to live by” in the show and it took second place! So that is just the cherry on top! Come see us if you are close enough to come! LB

I live on a lake in beautiful Butte Des Morts, WI. I have three sons: Lance (forever 29), Luke 33, Jake 32, and two grand-babies, Little Man and O-Bug. I've been married to the love of my life Nick, since 1998 when we started our crazy adventure together! I am a quilter, rugger, and gardener. I also love to cook when I get the chance. Thanks for visiting and supporting Primitive Gathering Quilt Shop where I try to bring you the best Moda fabrics and wool projects anywhere!

  1. I was at the show and loved seeing the quilt in person. It was absolutely beautiful! Your booth was my favorite and I enjoyed meeting you and Linda. Up early and starting a small project with your triangle papers… So exciting!

  2. Congratulations for your winning entry! It was gorgeous and the competition was enormous. At your booth-I thought that you really do live by the words of your lovely quilt. It was extremely busy when I was there and yet you and your helpers were extremely gracious, kind and helpful to each and every one of us in spite of having a full booth of customers. Thank you.

  3. Enjoyed seeing you at the show and congrats to you and Linda on the ribbon for the quilt !!!

  4. Congratulations on your ribbon! Couldn’t get to Grand Rapids this year, I met Linda there last year. But I will see you at The Quilt Expo in Madison Sept. 6th!

  5. Yep the link works great, both in the email notice and in your blog! 🙂 Congrats to Linda, she does AMAZING long arm work.

  6. Congrats to both you and Linda on the Words to Live By quilt ribbon. I was so happy to see it in person while taking your class in Bellaire this summer. I’m disappointed I wasn’t able to get to the show (grandkids visiting) but my Words to Live By quilt will be going to the quilter next week sometime. Then I can finally get started on this years 2014 wool SBOW. Lisa, all of your projects are beautiful…just like the person who designs them 🙂 Thanks again for all that you do.

  7. Congratulations! While the Red Ribbon looks very nice hanging next to your stunning quilt, I think the judges goofed. This quilt really needed Blue. But that’s just me. 🙂

I am so very excited for both you and Linda – the honor is well-deserved and well-earned. Good job! Congratulations! 🙂

  8. Have a fun time in Grand Rapids. Wish I was back with my kids…I’d be seeing you. Enjoy MI.

  9. Lisa, I clicked on the link to your store, and it would not go through. I got a weird error message. I think it is on your end.

    1. Thanks Jantet for letting us know…our site is failing and we are working on a new one that should be implemented in someday soon but not soon enough for some of us…please let us know again if the site has issues…and hopefully our NEW site will be up soon…LB
