I am going to be a GRANDMOM in February!!!!  Looking ahead I have cut down a bit for 2016 and 2017 will be the same when we start taking those reservations…If you are a guild or a group and want to schedule for 2017 Contact Amy in the new Year..at (Ahoefler@new.rr.com)  she has my workshop info and contract ready to send out to book these very limited dates…

I am looking so forward to 2015 and I am not sad to see 2014 end I think it has been the worst year I have ever had personally…BUT…I believe there are many great things happening in 2015 and being a Grandma is very important to me and going to be very special.

If you are not in a guild..or I am not teaching anywhere you are from…why not come to WI…we have lots for you to do..we have a Shop, a warehouse, my studio and you can even stitch/stay at my HOUSE  click HERE for some pics.  Contact Amy again for any info.

I am sure some of you who get this have come here to WI …and can comment on how much fun it is!!!

I live on a lake in beautiful Butte Des Morts, WI. I have three sons: Lance (forever 29), Luke 33, Jake 32, and two grand-babies, Little Man and O-Bug. I've been married to the love of my life Nick, since 1998 when we started our crazy adventure together! I am a quilter, rugger, and gardener. I also love to cook when I get the chance. Thanks for visiting and supporting Primitive Gathering Quilt Shop where I try to bring you the best Moda fabrics and wool projects anywhere!

  1. Any idea if the ohio valley quilt guild opens their classes to non members? Do you have a contact for the guild?

    1. Mary, You can visit the Grand Hotel website, click on the “specials” tab, and then the 2015 packages. There is an online brochure with more information there…class registration begins Jan 5th. We hope to see you there! Amy

  2. So happy to see you will be back in Hershey. I’ll be watching for more info, I know it was difficult to get in last time. We’re big fans here in PA.

  3. Congratulations on being a grandmom in the new year. I am a first time nana and love it – nothing like it. God is blessing you after a time of tragedy.

  4. Lisa: Congratulations on becoming a Grandma! It is the best thing ever! A chance to refocus and enjoy the beauty of life through the eyes of a child. My little grandson is 3 1/2 and he brings so much joy and happiness to everyone who loves him.

  5. Having my kiddos home with NO SCHOOL SCHEDULE is one of my favorite parts of the holidays…..going to midnight mass is super special and seeing the excited smiles on Christmas morning is priceless. jmh

  6. Thanks for the news about your new status as Gramdma to be!! Terrific! And what kind of class are you teaching at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island? Amanda and I love staying at your house for a little sewing time! We always appreciate your hospitality and the entire place is soooo geared for sewing and relaxing. Thanks

  7. Congratulations Lisa and Nick! What an awesome experience awaits you both. My grandsons are 19 and16 and are the shining lights and joy to our small family. I can’t wait for you to have this new grandchild…. They are called GRAND for a reason! As far as The Gathering goes, it’s the perfect retreat and happens to have a great gal own it… It’s worth the trip to Wisconsin.

  8. Warm and cosy are the words !
We were 4 girls there coming for France. A long way to realize a dream …
My new dream, come again !
Lisa received us and took of her time to show us her studio and warehouse. So great !
We took a lot of pictures of the house and met another group who stayed there.
    Thanks again Lisa for all.

  9. Now that you’ll be in sunny SoCal, how about hopping up to Oregon? We have a lot of wool lovers up here!!! Congrats on being a gramma !

  10. It is all about friendship and love. Sadly yesterday we watched our neighbours beautiful home go up in flames. It will be a complete write off but they and their two handsome dogs are safe! Last summer we all survived a tornado and now this but our lovely neighbours will be warm, safe and well taken care of by family and us their friends and neighbours.
On a happier note, congrats Lisa on becoming a grandmother! You will love every moment of this new journey.
Thanks for the needful things…so inspiring.
To love, friendship and being grateful.

  13. Congratulations on being a grandma. Your son and daughter-in-law will have one blessed little baby. I see you have GA on your calendar for 2015. I will have to see if I can get to Hiram or Cartersville to see you. I looked online and it looks like there is a Marlowes Tavern in Kennesaw that shouldn’t be too far from the Cartersville location. I know you will want to get your Marlowes fix.

  14. Visiting Lisa’s shop in WI is a MUST DO!!! Treat yourself, it’s an annual present I give to myself. The thrill of browsing around the store finding treasures, touching quilts, buying kits!!! It’s magical!! Her house is warm and comforting. I feel at home and spoiled, and get to spend time with friends (old and new) doing what I love. Everyone could use more of that! **Just take.a BIG empty suitcase!! Lol! Jakey

  15. WOW! Will you supply permanent housing? It would be a dream to be able to stay with wonderful friends while sewing my heart out, Suzanne riley
