Well it’s easy… I get up super early so I can stitch with no distractions!!!! Always schedule time in your day to sew…and you will get those quilts done!

I use to do that and traded it in on going to the gym! My goal is to get some sewing in after work 3 times a week and some sewing on the weekend. No kids at home anymore. I had to do something to improve my health.

Jane…I go from 7-8:30 at least 3 days a week…usually 4 and sometimes 5 or more…I love working out gives me more energy!!!

So happy you are working out!!! It’s very important!

You go Jane!! A year ago I hit the gym 6-7am (goal was 5:30, lol) I’m trying to re-incorporate it back into my schedule, as I felt great when I did!!!

That sewing machine has seen some hard use!

I get up at 5:00 a.m. that allows me at least an hour to hour and a half to spend in my sewing studiot before I catch my bust to work at 7. Puts me in the right frame of mind to deal with all the stress in my work life.

Yes, working out gives me more energy; more energy I can use for sewing.

I’m guessing it’s like 4:30-5:00 AM, if it’s earlier than that I’m gonna puke! My hat goes off to you! One of these days, I’ll fall out of bed at that time. I do know what you mean though, on the rare occasions when I have, the peacefulness was delightful!

what quilt are you working on, what i could see looks nice. I am sewing this weekend. It is suppose to rain this weekend so the horses get a couple of days off and so do I.

Lisa, exactly how early do you rise ?!? Inquiring mind(s) want to know. 😉

Lisa do you always sew with pressure foot pressure turned clear up like that? And can I ask what brand sewing table that is and do you like it? It looks great, I get tired of my machine being up so high on a desk. Thanks!

Ahhhhh, the exercise!! I live waaaaay out in the country, too far from any gym, its 20-25 miles to anywhere I need to go! I do try to walk 2 miles everyday that I can, usually 2-3 days a week now. Hopefully when I retire from work I will be able to gym a few days a week too! I love, love, love my Juki sewing machine! Its a workhorse for piecing, attaching binding, and a little bit of free motion on small quilts!

Love, love, love my very early morning quilt time. I’m also an empty nester, but find I prefer getting up at o’dark early to enjoy the peacefulness of quilting in my cave!
