Freebie info & Happy Independence Day!!!

images-1

Just want to wish Everyone a Happy 4th of July…I hope you all enjoy your celebrations, whether they be surrounded by family & friends or just a quiet one home stitching and relaxing…both sound wonderful..I am busy making food and sneaking in some stitching time here and there…I am working on projects for our upcoming cruise in Feb 2016, which will be Awesome!  Nick is fishing and caught a huge small mouth bass just outside of our channel…he just told me it was 18″ and 4 1/2lbs…ok..thanks Nick..we can stop wondering now…IMG_2871

There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding the Freebie this year…so I want to point out a few things, that my be confusing…I know we may have a lot of new participants this year…and the shop girls are getting lots of phone calls…so hopefully this clears some of that up.

Previous commitments like Blocks of the Month do not qualify for a weekly freebie…never have in previous years.

Freebies are given out 1 per customer per week…if you place an online order and get another this is hard to figure out for us…so you may end of with a two if we do not know you are in the Block of the Week…again…not really a big deal for us… you placed another order…

If you are purchasing the finishing kit…and it is going to be shipped with your last shipment of SBOW, you will not get TWO freebies that week (one for the program and one because you place another $17 order)…see above…We are combining this shipment to save you shipping dollars…We never shipped freebies with the finishing kits as the SBOW is over when we usually ship them out…and again..1 per customer per week..

So I hope this helps clear everything up…now back to making some party food…found this cute plant at the grocery store…and my first fresh strawberry pie I have made!!!

That bass looks great Nick! Oh how my hubby would love to be out fishing today. Instead, he’s mowing the big lawn for tomorrow. 🙂

That pie looks yummy!! I appreciate you combining shipping on my monthly purchases. I enjoy your pics of the lake and your garden…I live in the desert southwest. One more thing, you are a very generous lady. Thank you! Happy 4th!!

I know people have not always been kind when you have shared pictures and stories of your lake home but I for one want to say ‘thank you’! For me, you embody the the American spirit I taught my kids…that life is not easy but that if you have a passion for something and work hard you can achieve it! Your life, like most people’s, has had its ups and downs yet you always pick yourself up and keep moving forward with a quiet grace and dignity. You, Lisa, embody the mindset that built this country….too bad there aren’t more like you!

So party hardy, enjoy everything you and your family have achieved and know that you have made a mark in life that will outlive you…..you ROCK!!!

Hope you have a great July 4th, and your strawberry pie looks amazing! I just wanted to say I am LOVING those 2 new mini rulers you designed, they’re perfect for working on the pieced SBOW…which I’ll be trying to get caught up on this weekend.

I’m so disappointed that the 2016 cruise is full. I so enjoyed the cruise with you a couple of years ago in the Caribbean on the Navigator of the Seas. Is there a waiting list for the cruise for any cancellations? Anyway, enjoy your holiday with your family. I am in total agreement with Pam’s comment above. Thank you!

Hi Lisa, I love the edge you did on the pie crust. I would love to know how it was done. Hope you all had a great 4th. My hubby and I are going to our place this weekend. Need to finish putting together my quilt frame and hopefully get some sewing in on my SBOW and hubby needs to make some chicken wire cages for some of the plants the deer and the rest of the wild life seem to love to eat. They were there first. LOL. Even one of our horses will eat the roses. The cotton fabric is sized so now for the cutting. I might practice on some scrap fabric first, so as not to ruin the kit fabric. You do motivate us so, I haven’t made a pie yet for summer I sure would love to do one like yours. Have a great weekend.
