I can’t believe how much I love/have to use my rulers that I designed with Creative Grids…I have lots of other rulers from creative grids…but once you get used to using these with all the lines being dashed…there’s no going back…I am constantly looking for my rulers when cutting…where did it go?…who used it last?…this is at the working studio…I asked Amy to go get three more sets from the warehouse so every cutting station had one…I also know that some of you have 2 locations you sew at …the cabin and at home…or you leave a set of supplies in the car because your always going to quilting each week…right Shirley from CA? ย I loved that she just keeps her quilting stuff in the trunk and aways has it because she has serval sewing events during the week. ย So what I guess I am say is…if you already have these now may be a good time for a second one…or if you have 1 or 2 of them…it’s a great time to pick up the latest one…
So WHY are these so SPECIAL?…It’s really very simple…besides that fact that they have the 1/8″ markings and the dashed are different for the even and odds..SEEING your fabric at all time is the REAL reason for success of this rulers popularity. ย Here is a closeup so you can SEE what I’m trying to say…see how we can see the actual fabric and it not under a line…because then we have to wonder are we on that side of line or are we in the center…with my rulers you can tell and when were doing some little piecing this ALL matters. ย The ruler come in 3 sizes for now…3″x7″, 6″x6″ and 5″x15″, this one has the 3/16″ line for cutting wool stems and the 5×15 size makes it easy for you to cut your own 5″ charms…
If you also notice…I have no 1/2″ like the some of the other CG rulers…I have messed up cutting a time or two with those 1/2″…so not on these rulers. ย Plus the big thing here is if you are not cutting accurately you cannot stitch accurately… this is a huge part of being accurate and things coming out perfect or darn near..everytime…I’m good with darn near…But we all are happy with things go together well…and this is another key to it. So the deal with these rulers is they are price protected, they can’t be put on sale..But we can give you something if you purchase them…If you buy ย one of the rulers we will include a new pattern called “Little Patriot”, shown here…coming out in February…so none of you have this one yet!!!I just reversed the colors and only used three prints here on this little “test” quilt….
If you buy the whole set of all three we are going to give you a 5″ charm pack plus the free pattern…that’s a $17 value. ย So I hope these little incentives are good enough for you to add this set of three AWESOME rulers to your tools…you will NOT be disappointed you did…but you may be mad when you can’t find it!!! Like me…lol…Click RULERS to go to the shopping site.
I loved reading about where you are from and if you have snow…Friday night and Saturday we had a nice long slow falling snow…today the sun is shining but its so COLD…very pretty though…nice to watch and bake cookies and stitch today!!! ย I don’t know if I could NOT be where it snows…I know it can be a bother to some…but I can’t wait to try out my snowshoes I bought this year!!!!Here is the view from my sewing room…
View from Jace’s ย room …sorry about the screen..
Nick took this pic after all his plowing/shoveling last night form up top our hill…this is the backside from the lake view…its so pretty ย with all the snow!!!
So for your COMMENT TODAY TO WIN A SET OF RULERS IS… Those of you who have my rulers…let me know if they are what I say they are…those of you who don’t have them…confess and say you’ll get at least one to try after reading what everyone else says…I can’t be the only one who loves these!!! ย Or if the budget doesn’t allow…say you NEED to win one!!! I remember what It is like to not be able to get ย everything I want…I was a single Mom with three little boys at one time!!! And once you live though that it kinda stays with you…with a few exceptions here and there of course…
Congratulations to the winners of the SAS2 Lite Packs ย here you go…please claim you prizes at
ahoefler@new.rr.com ย Send Amy your name and address and we’ll get the prize to you!!! ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย You have until 12-31-16

No snow on the ground here in western WA, but we did have a few little flurries this AM and it is cold. Brrr! I love SAS! Thanks for the tips on tracing multiples~ I never thought about making a box the size of my wool piece- perfect!

Here in Michigan we have about 9โณ. Itโs a really beautiful time of year-hopefully it will last until after Christmas. Nothing says Christmas more then a little snow on the ground!๐ AND thank you for showing the Steam Lite 2. I am working on a big wool project and it likes like that product would help immensely with my appliqued quilt.

No snow here in southeastern Ohio, but it is coming this evening. Love sas2. Have never ventured into wool applique, but I love hand applique and really wish I had someone to teach me how to do a nice looking blanket stitch by hand.

The only snow Iโll see is the snow on your blog ;o) Down in North Louisiana it is rare, but happens sometimes. Love the stitch you used on the wording!
Time to go pull my cookie dough from the fridge and roll out some star cookies!!! I only make stars…even though I collect cookie cutters…I love the ones with the wood handles! ย Go Pack Go!!! ย LB
I have and use the Creative Grids Itty Bitty Eights Rectangle Ruler-3″ x 7″. I don’t know how i ever cut tiny pieces accurately before i owned this. It is a must have! If i were not on a widow’s limited income i would purchase the other two also!
I have one of the rulers and admit they are so accurate, which helps alot since I am determined to finish some of the designs of yours which involve tiny triangles!
Loved the pix of your house at night. Lovely setting.
Peggy Dalberto
I don’t have any of your rulers but I would really love to win one! I don’t have many rulers but the ones I do have, I cannot live without. And you’re right about not remembering that 1/2″ seam on one end of some rulers. I made that mistake more than once. Thanks for the opportunity to win! P.S. – Love your snow on the website!
I’ve been doing the 365 Block Challenge from Australia all year, and couldn’t have got this far without these rulers!! I have the small ones, but I think I’m going to need that big one too!
I need to win these Lisa because of all the other stuff I “need” to buy from the other days you have posted! There is no doubt I will also “need” whatever is coming up over the next 6 days! I have one of these rulers and it is awesome that you can see your fabric underneath – a brilliant idea on your part!
I love the Itty bitty rulers but I do not have the newest one and woul love to have a set for my go bag! Thank you for leaving the half inch off..that does get confusing.
Lisa I NEED NEED these rulers! I’m going to order just in car you don’t pick me but I’m ordering as a back up!
Being just south of you we also have lots of snow so I spent yesterday baking- today us a Packer football and frosting! Stay warm and thanks for all you do for us!!
Stacy
Well, I don’t have one…yet. Will have to send a message to one if my sons…hopefully they still need to get me an additional present. Your yard is beautiful…love the snowy weather too. Merry Christmas!
Me Me Me! I need the Itty Bitty ruler at least, since I am going to make the Magic of Christmas Blocks with some quilt friends after Christmas! ๐ Merry Christmas everyone & a wonderful quilty New year!
Got to love rulers made by people whose quilt work you admire! I am pretty new to this world of quilting and have just begun to collect the needful things. I would dearly love rulers you designed, Lisa. A friend gave me your box of Frivols for my birthday and it’s top of the list after the holidays.
Love seeing your new home in all its views. Gosh, what a Christmas this will be for your family.
Hope you’re totally healed by now.
sharon
Here in Northern WI we got about 8 inches of snow, a great weekend to bake, sew and just look out the windows. I love the rulers, I tried my 1st one last year on the 12 days of Christmas. Merry Christmas and try and stay warm today, this week is going to warm up.
Think I really need these rulers to become more accurate, that and starching. Hope to finish my Christmas blocks better. Merry Christmas and hope to win!
I have the smallest ruler…..I wish I had all three. I do like to travel with my quilting supplies and would love to have a duplicate ruler to leave in my travel box! I also am not able to afford any quilting supplies right now because I just got laid off – Lucky for me, I do have an awesome stash – now if I just had something to measure the stash with!
Love it…..I got the 5×15 so I could work on the 25 blocks for Christmas…..I can not believe that the first few blocks I finished turn out so great!! and I am new to quilting!!! Thank you!!
I was so into reading your email that I missed the first Packer touchdown! I have the Itty Bitty ruler and know that I need the others. I have rejected many rulers because of that annoying 1/2″. These rulers are the best for the small pieces that I use the most.

LOVE my 3×7. It’s perfect for minis. Saw you in Houston and got your new 5×15. GREAT rulers. Love the idea of keeping a set in the car for sew-ins with friends!
Love your rulers Lisa. I have been using them this weekend on a project for eighth and sixteenth measurements, worked great. Love the house pictures with the snow, beautiful!!!!
I’ve never done tiny piecing before – but I’m hooked. They are a little challenging to get used to – but once you know where to look and how to measure using them they’re great. I use them for all my quilts now – not just the small ones. Great rules – keep them coming!
Lisa, no snow in Northern Alabama, just freezing drizzle. I love your itty bitty rulers. My eyesight is bad enough, so with these rulers, I can see where I need to be. I use them all the time on my small blocks. The accuracy is incredible. Have used them on my Magic of Christmas blocks. Thank you for your invention!!!!
Took your class here in Maine and you mentioned the rulers but I never got around to using/seeing them in class. I am attempting your Evelyn’s Album and wish I had them. But thoroughly enjoying this project. Will be ordering the backing after the first of the New Year. Happy New Year to you all!
Hi Lisa I don’t have your rulers but I’d love to try them out. I bet they’d be wonderful for cutting the HST. Can’t wait to try them but I’ll have to wait till after Christmas as my spare $$ is going for gifts.
No snow in NW Texas. But really cold at 6F at 9am. Grateful the wind is only 5 mph!!! I do. Not have one of your rulers so since I am retired I need to win the set so I can brag to all my quilting friends how great they r & encourage them to purchase the se๐๐
We have about a foot of snow and the temp is hovering around -4 degrees. The sun is shining and it is beautiful looking out at the snow from my window.Made it to church this morning but it wasn’t easy. My body does not like the cold. Wish I could afford to buy those rulers. Especially the 5″ x 15″. Maybe I will be lucky and win one. Be safe and stay warm while out snow shoeing.
I have 2 of your rulers and I LOVE them. Makes life so much easier. I need the 5×15 so I might as well just get the full set. I also am getting ready to make your cut out cookies. This year I am making all snowflakes.
You are so right about these rulers. I only have the 3″ x 7″, but it came in handy when cutting the small pieces for the Magic of Christmas quilt! I think Santa needs to buy me the set. And the bonus pattern just pushed me over the top. I am anxiously awaiting the kit for the large Patriot quilt kit to be available. I think it will be my valentine present to myself. It was -4 degrees this morning in the panhandle of Texas (very cold for us). And just have to add, when this post came I was reading over the recipe for the Old Fashioned Beef Barley Soup that you shared with the Magic of Christmas folks. I’ll be giving it a try this coming Thursday. Your house is absolutely beautiful in the winter wonderland!
I love that it doesn’t have the solid line, I can see my fabric perfectly. I keep mine at the sewing machine. Wish you would come back and vend at the IX Sewing Expo here in Ohio. We live on the Lake, you could stay with us!
I have been unexpectedly unemployed for the past 4 months with absolutely no income, plus I have some bitty sewing on my horizon, so I NEED to win these rulers — lol! Thanks for all the good reasons to have them. I’m looking forward to 2017 being a better year financially. Here’s hoping, and Merry Christmas!
I just love Creative Grids rulers!! I don’t have any of these yet but I’ll have to order some later today! One of the Creative Grids rulers that I love also is the Stripology Ruler. Maybe you could make a mini version for the small piecing enthusiasts. Hope I win–it would be great to start my New Year’s projects with a new “TOY”!! Love your blogs. I’m in the southern part of WI and it is cold.. Also go Packers!!!
I would love to win one of your rulers. My friend talks about it being the best ruler. I hope to get one after Christmas with some leftover holiday money. I love your patterns. I want to get some of your wool for a project. I was hoping you had a kit with the wool for the Pet Truck pattern, but I couldn’t find it. Merry Christmas!!
Couple more inches of snow here in Illinois.
Very cold here.
Started doing mini quilts and these would come in very handy for those projects. Love the 1/8 marks. Thanks Lisa
I purchased a Creative Grid ruler 5X12. I have tried to use it but it is very confusing to me. I went back to my old rulers. Yours look much easier to use but really can’t afford to make the investment again and then not use them.
Your picture remind me of growing up in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. It truly is a beautiful state even if part of year is better spent inside. Merry Christmas to you, your family and staff. I love your work!!!!
Here in East Central Illinois we were lucky to miss most of the ice & snow. Just have a few inches from earlier in week. But it is cold & windy. So have been inside most of weekend sewing (like I need an excuse!). I love Creative Grids rulers. I like the non slip that is built into them. And I love the idea of having the 1/8″ & 3/16″ markings. Thanks for the chance to win & the incentive you’re offering to purchase them!
I have the 2 smaller rulers and honestly, they are my go to rulers unless I need a larger one. So now I’m debating about the larger one! They are all you say they are, Lisa. I love them mostly for miniatures because more and more designers are working with the 1/8″ in directions. If you don’t gave these, check em out!
I ordered the 3×7 earlier in the fall. It’s is better than I expected. I am getting spoiled with how grippy it is. It’s become my go to small ruler. Hoping to get the others for my birthday, in Feb.
I don’t have the rulers but after reading your blog and the comments above, I sure would like to try them. I must confess that while cutting some fabric the other day I “read” the ruler wrong and was off on my cutting. Luckily I caught the mistake before sewing the block together! The markings on these rulers look so clear. Will have to wait until the budget allows.
I don’t have these rulers. Still using the “older” ones. It might be time to change. I am working on Civil War blocks and there are LOTS of 3/8 and 7/8 measurements. Maybe Santa will look at my Wish List.
Where have I been? I have never even seen these rulers and I can see where they would be wonderful for minis! Definitely going on my ‘when budget allows’ list. Thank you! And also thank you for the SAS! ๐
We had what my folks always called hominy snow last night. Just a few flakes, not enough to cover the ground. It was 11 degrees here in my part of Arkansas. I haven’t ever used the Creative grid rulers, but if they help with accurate cutting, I am all fort it!
Your pictures with the snow are beautiful!!
I love your rulers. My husband kept taking mine for measuring his beadwork. I bought him his own at your both in Houston. He gets grumpy when I tell him I bought him something because I spent money. When I showed him your ruler he was very excited. I would love to get your new size and the others for my take with me bag. Have a Merry Christmas and I am sure Jace will make it extra special!!๐
I am absolutely enthralled with the rulers with the 7/8 inch markings. I have other creative grids rulers but didn’t know about these. I would love to win the 5 inch one and will purchase the others in the New Year. I really appreciate all you do for your customers. Thanks so much. Linda C.
I agree that accurate cutting helps make accurate blocks. I haven’t used your rulers but would love to try one.
-12 here last night, wind chill -25 or -30? Warming up this week in NE.
Bought 2 in Paducah in 2015 and they have never left my cutting table. Love them for everything!!! Oops, they did travel with me to a winter retreat in January!
I am enthralled with the rulers with the 7/8 inch markings. Would love to win a 5 inch ruler and will purchase the other two in the New Year as I am on a fixed income. The Magic of Christmas was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for it and this opportunity. Linda C
I have your itty bitty rulers and use them all the time! They are sooo much easier to read then any other rulers I have. I was so excited when you came out with the 5×15 and I bought that one too. I have to say your rulers just make sense to my eyes.
I made cut out cookies last night while the snow was falling which inspired me to make only mittens and snowflakes. I’ll decorate them using only red and white frosting. I finished snow blowing the driveway and now to sit and watch the Packer game… go Pack go๐๐๐
These rulers are the best I have ever used!! So easy to find the measurement marking that you need and for me they do not slip when I am cutting. Lots of beautiful snow here in Delavan, WI. Great day to celebrate a 28th wedding anniversary! Merry Christmas all!!!
Hi! I have the 1st 2 rulers you came out with & I love them. I don’t have, but NEED to WIN, the newest one that is 5″ x 15″. My set would then be complete. Thanks for the daily giveaway. Maybe someday I’ll win one of them since there’s a few days left! Lol! ๐
A balmy -25 below this morning in Minnesota. Baking cookies and checking the news from Primitive Gatherings! I have never seen these rulers in the shops in my area defiantly need to add one to my CG group. I’m my mothers daughter, can’t stand it when I’m off even a “titch”. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I don’t have any of your rulers yet but would love some! All of my rulers are very old except for one creative grids ruler that I love so I know I would love yours!!
I have the first two rulers and they are the best!!!! My go to and nobody messes with them!!LOL!!! I really need the new 5 by15 ruler!!! Thanks Lisa for always coming up with what we need even when we don’t know it yet!!!
I don’t have your rulers, yet! I would keep
them in the house protected. My truck is
covered with snow now, and it would probably
be a deterrent if I had to clear the snow first to use the rulers!
Loved your snowy pictures, I
Love looking out my windows at the beautiful snow especially at night with the Christmas lights, I keep those up year round!
Yes I love your rulers. Yes I need more of them.Yes, I’m in the process of putting together a permanent travel sewing bag. Yes I would love to win one! Yes I love the snow.
Right now it’s a warm 30 degrees here in Southern Oregon ( Grants Pass)..a little frost, some blue sky, mostly clouds and no snow yet! It would be nice for the holiday and sledding down our driveway though. I love my itsy rulers; I have the square and would be lost without it for squaring up my 1″ blocks! Would love to have the 3×7 and/or 5×15, but hard to find here in So OR. They are easier to read with these aging eyes believe it or not! Love your home Lisa, thanks for the pictures and your wonderful designs! Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year!
I have the 3×7 ruler and I LOVE IT!! Would dearly love to win the larger one!!! I like looking at snow pictures but do not do well in COLD!!! It was 45 this morning in San Diego……that is cold enough for me!!!
I don’t have any of your rulers yet, but I am sure I would love using them if I won! I think they would be wonderful for making the miniature quilts I love to create! Yesterday I received the 1/2″ triangle papers that I ordered from you and can’t wait to use them. I was surprised at how quickly they arrived here in Arizona-great service!! No snow here in the Phoenix/Surprise area since it is 58 degrees here and sunny! We are always cheering too – Go Pack Go!!!
I don’t have one of your rulers yet but I hope to win one and if I don’t I’ll definitly buy one because I love the 1/16 marks on them.
BTW I’m from Munich, germany, here’s no snwo yet but the weather is turning and there’s ice on the streets. Perhaps it will be snowing on christmas.
I have the 2 smaller ones but not the long one. Might need that. I use them all the time, especially when making things with small pieces. I too was not a fan of that added 1/2 inch bit and am glad you don’t have it one these. Stay warm!
We have about 10″ here in Sarnia, Ontario Canada. It is -7 Celsius or 19 for my American friends. It’s beautiful with the sunshine today! I LOVE creative grids rulers. It’s the only one I use! I also teach quilt classes and I tell all my students how these ruler are far superior to any others …. grippers are better, the markings are super clear with all the extra measurements we need.
Once they see and use one of mine, they are hooked! A girl can never have too many rulers, in different sizes! Hooray for CG and Lisa!,
Plenty of snow and ice here in Maine. I want to say how much I love, love, love your home – wonderful attention to fine details. I purchased patterns in Maine and Virginia this past year. Hope to see you in Lancaster in March and I will shop for rulers there. Thank you for the opportunity to be in your drawing. Keep up your wonderful work.
Oh, Lisa! Your snow is so beautiful!! I love the night pic. I Always look forward to our big snow events here in Southern Indiana. Some winters we have huge snowfalls and others almost none. We have crazy weather..Yesterday it was 64 degrees with thunderstorms and tornado warnings, and this morning it was around 20 and spitting snow!! Major Mother Nature mood swing.
I also love my itty bitty rulers! They come in very handy and would not want to be without ’em. Enjoying your daily blog posts, as always. Thanks for taking the time to do them. You know we love it. Stay warm and enjoy the winter beauty!
I have the little bitty eighths rulers and they were a god send with the magic of Christmas blocks. I will definitely buy more of these rulers and I especially love that they have little grippers built right in so no more rulers sliding while trying to cut fabric!
I am sad to say I have “0” creative grid rulers. I have wanted to get one for a long time but already have so many rulers just couldn’t justify buying another one. The night view of your house is beautiful. Watching the Chiefs/Titan game on tv. It is frigid here in Kansas City MO. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, tips and patterns. I love your red/white Christmas quilt and plan to make it before next Christmas.
Would love to try these rulers! I have bought rulers that designers recommend but can only use them on their patterns. These look great and would like a free one to try out!
I have been eyeing the Itty Bitty Rulers since they first came out, and I finally broke down and bought them all, along with $50 worth of fabric, so I could get free shipping. Thanks, Lisa! Merry Christmas!
Yesterday we had 4″ of snow on the ground, today it’s 54 degrees. That’s NJ for you!! Kind of new to quilting so I have very few “needful” things… YET! But tomorrow is my 60th birthday so I’m thinking these would be a great gift to myself! Time to shop:)
Love snow. Love quilting. Really LOVE quilting while it is snowing! I’ve been happily finishing up Christmas gifts while my husband is working (highway department!) the past few days. โค๏ธ 2017 is going to be my year to try tiny quilting!
I have the first two rulers, of course, but I was unaware of the third one. I absolutely love these rulers–they help so much with accuracy, whether cutting for minis, or small parts for regular blocks.
I definitely need that bigger ruler–and I LOVE the new pattern!
I don’t have any of the itty bitty rulers but I think I need to remedy the situation. I would love to win them! If not, I really like the ruler special you’re offering…….
This the the first time I’ve seen these rulers and would love to have them. Unfortunately my sewing machine has to go to the doctor and I need some major work done on my teeth so they are not in the budget right now.
I do love those rulers, and they seem to not slip as much either. We got about 6″ of snow in central Maine Saturday, and rain and freezing rain Sunday. Makes for an ice skating rink in every driveway that was plowed right away. My hubby is out plowing now, and hopefully we can all stay upright when we walk on it tomorrow. Wish we just got the snow, it was looking so beautiful.
Lisa, love the night pics after the snow fall! Such beauty and splendor.
Looks like you and I have another common like. Snowshoeing. I just signed up thru LL Bean in Illinois on the 31st for a trail hike with my new snowshoes. Looks like enough snow this year.
I have your wonderful little 2.5 x 6.5 and it’s great for all small things. The rest of my rulers are old, Old, OLD! I’m sure I’ve shaved off edges and corners oner the years, and definitely need to replace them. So thanks for including rulers in your needful things!
I currently have the old Omnigrid rulers which I’ve had probably more than 15 years. Until seeing these, I have not considered other styles of rulers but these will definitely be on my “want” list soon! If I won, it would be even better!! Thanks for the offer…
I only have a 6×24 ruler. I do use it all the time. I live in Florida but if I had a view like you do, I wouldn’t mind living with the snow. Thanks for all the give aways!
This is the first I’ve seen your rulers. I would love to have them. Unfortunately my sewing machine has to go to the doctor and I have to have major dental work done so they are not in the budget right now. Thanks for the opportunity to win these.
The snow looks beautiful. I am in Laughlin, Nevada were our high today is 55. I would love to win those rulers. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your home , and all the snow.
Sorry to say, nope, don’t have your cool rulers..and would LOOOOVE to win your Give-a-way!! (I was single momma to 4 Kiddo’s for long time…..& do understand for sure…) The pictures of your house are Gorgeous!! Super views!! Thank you for sharing!!
I have all three of the rulers. And yes, they are exactly as you say. Wonderful! Bought the newest one in Houston in November. Envious of your snow, as we never get any here in southern Texas.
I have the small square ruler, but can’t find the pattern that suggested I get one. LOL. Need to educate myself on this ruler, and would love to win the giveaway.
I have the two smaller ones and they are great for my old eyes which don’t always see things as they should; would love to have the larger one. we have 6″ of new powder snow today and it’s still coming!!
I don’t have any of your rulers. As I replace my rulers I plan on replacing with Creative Grid rulers. I am lousy ar cutting because my ruler always moves on me and these I know don’t move as I have used them at retreats.
I have always loved the Creative Grids rulers, but the Itty Bitties took them to a whole new level. The 15″ is my favorite. I especially love being able to cut those 3/16″ stems and having them all turn out even at long last. Thanks so much, Lisa for continuing to teach and share with us. Merry Christmas!
I do have one of your rulers and I use it all the time. I love the markings and think I am cutting more accurately. I don’t avoid patterns with little size pieces anymore. Your home looks beautiful. I love the snow too and I like to guess what animal made those tracks in the snow!
I love Creative Grid rulers but don’t own any of your small size yet but I have been leaning very close for some time. I’m not sure they’re in my budget this week, but more than likely soon! Love the snow on your page as I type. Probably the only snow I’ll see here in Central Texas!
I have two of the rulers (from last year) and saw your new one at market. Alas, I’m like you, I can never find them when I need them and another set would be heaven sent.
Here is Georgia it was in the 60’s this morning! I would die in the cold and snow! My budget has not allowed me to purchase the creative grid rulers but I would absolutely LOVE to win one!
The eighth graduations have become a must have for me. I thinking if I order them, my likelihood of winning them increases. Thanks for adding goodies for those that order this tool.
I have NOT tried one of your rulers, yet….they look pretty handy! A quilter can’t have too many rulers! ๐ Thanks for sharing your snow pictures! There is just a little bit of snow where I live in OH, however, in what the weather forecasters call the “snow belt” (Up near Lake Erie) got DUMPED on!
I got so excited about the snowshoes that I forgot to make a mention about the rulers. I prefer the smaller size when cutting tiny pieces. Starching the fabric and the tiny ruler assures an accurate cut. I do not own the 5 X 15 though, must put on wish list tonight.
Love looking at your pretty snow, we got the nasty ice! I have the small rectangular one. Fantastic! Works wonderful when working on smaller blocks. Would love to have the larger ruler!
No snow in NC just a rainy day so we made a pot of Minestrone soup ๐ with Apple crisp for desert. Having friends over to share๐.
The rulers look like something I would really use with the 1/8 inch markings. I have a rule so old the black marks have rubbed off๐!
Thank you.
I don’t have any itty bitty rulers, but I want to make a small quilt and will be ordering one. It sounds like it’s the only way to go. Thanks so much for making them!
The rulers are just what I have been looking for. I always fudged up to the even inch if it called for 7/8. I just didn’t feel confident. But the pattern, OMG i haven’t seen a must do for a long time. I would hate to have to wait until February.
I don’t have them and really do need to get a couple – hope to WIN, tho! Have REALLY needed them with the Magic of Christmas (2 blocks to go!). Thanks for the opportunity (and the quilt along!)!
I have your Itty- Bitty Eights 6″ square ruler and I don’t know how I did without it. I also like that it doesn’t slip around on the fabric. I agree those darn 1/2 on the end of some rulers can really mess you up.
I have the square and rectangle and used so much
While doing any small block cutting. Lisa speaks only the truth about these little gems. They should be a staple in every quilt room supplies. If you go to retreats or sew outside of your own sand box (quilt room) two sets are a must. Life was great in my sewing room and only got better by having these rulers. Thanks Lisa for your genius.
I really really really need to win these rulers. I make tons of miniature quilts, 10 total in the past 6 months. When working with tiny pieces I find it really frustrating that the lines do not go all the way across a ruler in both directions. So if you are cutting something 3/4″x 1 1/2″ you only have a mark at the edge and the 1″ mark so you can never get your pieces perfectly cut when you have to eyeball the ends and hope your ruler is straight. I hope they have left some of that extra junk off that are on their other rulers that blocks you from seeing what you are cutting, or there are no lines because their logo is in the way. So would really love to try them. Still snowed in in MT. so quilting projects are on the agenda.

I don’t have any of these rulers; but got to look at and appreciate them when I took your class in Maine this summer. My budget doesn’t allow for me to purchase anything I don’t need right now, so a winner I must be!!! Merry Christmas
I have the small square and small rectangle and use both of them for fine tuning pieces in blocks. I would a second set to put in my travel bag for retreats and sew days. It’s 57 degrees here in Phoenix but for desert people that is chilly!!
I have several Creative Grids rulers but none of these. I think I NEED some, especially the 5 by 15. I think it would be so helpful for a lot of the projects I make.
We have had very little snow so far. In fact, on Friday it was raining. The sun is shining today but only 20 degrees. I would love to win a set of these rulers, you can never have too many and would love to try these.
I have all three of your rulers. I have used the two small ones often and I really like them, they work just like
like you say they do. I have only had the 5 x 15 size for a couple of weeks so have not had a chance to use
it yet.
I have one of the Itty Bitty rulers and LOVE it because I do lots of miniatures. I would love to win the set of rulers to add with all my others. Thank you!
I have the two smaller itty bitty eights rulers and love them. I’m making the Magic of Christmas blocks and I love how the eighth rulers help me to be more accurate when cutting the pieces for the blocks. I would love to have the 5 x 15″ ruler too! In northern Indiana we have plenty of snow and we’re at 14 degrees and going to -10 degrees tonight! Brrr!! It’s great sewing and cookie baking weather!
Snow here in the fingerlakes, we live on the lake, it’s frozen over but not yet safe to ice fish. I’d love to have your itty bitty rulers as I am doing mini quilts now. Merry Christmas
We have a dusting of snow here in Southern Utah. I would love to have a couple more of your rulers. I ordered the larger one and the 1/8″ markings are very handy. Have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy the peace that the Season has to Offer.
I don’t have the Creative Grids Itty Bitty rulers. In fact, I don’t own any CG rulers just because of the 1/2″ issue you talk about. Every time I borrow a friend’s CG ruler at a retreat, I invariably make a cutting mistake…because of that 1/2″ on one side. So I’m thrilled to learn about the Itty Bitty rulers. If I don’t win them, I know I will buy them!!! Love following your blog….I’ve learned a lot! I’m starching, starching, starching….playing The Magic of Christmas catch-up at an upcoming three-day retreat in the Texas Hill Country.
I confess to not owning your itty bitty rulers but this is my year to treat myself! I am waiting for the first day of Christmas, and if that big special fast accurate you-know-what is your favorite thing ( hint: it begins with “J” and ends with “I”), I’m getting it! And the rulers! And a few other goodies! I stated buying rulers as a new quilter several years ago and made a mistake of buying a few with that useless 1/2 inch you mentioned, I HATE those rulers. Ruined many a cut with them, they’ve got to go.
I have your 2 smallest rulers and have to say: They are as you stated- I keep them on my small cutting mat right near my sewing machine- they work great and I haven’t used other ones since I got them
I’m one of those who have not yet tried Creative Grids but I’ve always wanted to. Your snow looks beautiful.. The only thing we get is the cold with none of the pretty. Merry Christmas
The Itty Bitty rulers are everything Lisa says they are!!!! I use my bigger Creative Grids rulers for the bigger cuts but when it comes time to subcut the big pieces into smaller units, the Itty Bitty rulers help to get perfectly sized units. Since I purchased these rulers during a previous Needful Things countdown, I seldom use my regular 6×12 creative grids ruler. Love, love, love my rulers! Thanks, Lisa, for designing these!
No snow in So Cal, but I do love seeing pictures of it, I especially like watching football games played in the snow. These rulers will help me immensely with your Christmas star quilt that I am behind on.
Okay I have to confess I am a little bit slow trying new things. But I have had two of these rulers for a while. So I thought I would try them and I LOVE them. I really like the dashed lines and that I can actually see my fabric so I know I have it lined up correctly.๐
Lisa, Hello from Iowa! wish we had the snow you do. Only 1.5 inches here. I’m like you, I can’t live without snow and cold. I’m not a fan of summer – ha!! I love, Love, LOVE your 1/8″ rulers. I bought the entire set about a month ago, forgetting about your 12 Days of Christmas Needful Things. I’m like you, I can’t live without them. I’m disappointed I bought them because I would love to ha the free pattern – it looks adorable.
Thanks for designing them. They are so very helpful. I tell everyone who makes small quilts – you NEED these rulers.
Merry Christmas!
We got snow on Friday. Now it is cold, 4 degrees when I got up this morning. We should have a high of 21 today. The rulers look great. I need to win a set.
Hi Lisa! I bought the two smaller ones when you first offered. I make lots of small quilts and I LOVE these! Especially the 6×6 size, it’s always on my cutting table, I use constantly. Yesterday I had to make 128 hsts (no triangle papers in that size) and had to trim all down to 1.5″ and did so very accurately! These rulers are all you say.
I have the two smallest rulers and love them. They are just wonderful for miniature and small quilts, but I love them for trimming up blocks for other quilts also. Would certainly be able to use another set for my cutting table since the others stay by my sewing machine for quick trims.
I love quilting tools but I have not purchased yours YET because I was told to stay with one manufacturer so the measurements are consistent. But I hear what you say and I will have to try yours even if it means that I may be giving away all my rulers.
I have the 2 smallest rulers and will only use them. So happy there is a bigger one! It is on my Christmas list! Would love to win so I can share with my daughter! โบ๏ธ
OMG I need these rulers! The markings look fantastic! I’m a single mum suffering from mental illness so am out of work at the moment and thought it was my sewing that was making my patchwork not quite right but after sewing these rulers I see that it could more than likely be my cutting. Thank you for inventing such a wonderful product.
I must confess, I don’t have any of your rulers but would love to try one. I like that they appear to be so easy to read and you can clearly see your fabric.
Wow! Look at that snow! Glorious! I wish it snowed like that here! I am terrible, yes I have an oblong one I bought ooooh long time ago….I must confess though, I don’t actually know how to use it properly. See I am one of those self taught everything kind of people! I wish there was a place I could go to at least learn the basics. I think I know why I just muddle through, I have dyscalculia. This is a form of number blindness ( it’s one of the specific learning difficulties I have)… It gets me checking, double and triple checking everything I do! But it’s ok as I love to challenge myself and learn new things. Maybe I should actually learn how to use the rulers properly!!
I have the 6 x 6 Itty Bitty Eights ruler and love it. I needed it for a project that called for cutting the 1/8″ increments and it was a life saver. Now I need the other 2 sizes. I didn’t realize there was a 5 x 15 one, so that is definitely going on my wish list.
I got one of your small rulers at road to California last January and now I am hooked. I’m thinking I need the other two also, but will have to wait a bit. Love the snow pictures! So beautiful!!
I really need one of your rulers. They look like they would be perfect for dark fabric. I have a problem seeing the lines on the other rulers. Thank you for the chance to win one.
I do not have any of your rulers, but would love to win one . I am in need of most everything on the list so far, so after the 12 days I plan on ordering all at once. Love your helpful hints and tips.
Hi Lisa,
I have low vision and so I tried one of the creative ruler and fell in love with them! It helps me cut more accurately.
The lines and dashes are so much help especially when I have such a vision problem. I will order another one
As they are such a help to me. Thank you Lisa for thinking of all of us. Your house is just lovely.
Carol in Florida.
I have one of the little ones. I really like it for cutting my 5 inch charms when using triangle paper. I don’t think I will buy any more at this time. We are a single income family with a second baby due in 2 weeks, and I am trying really hard to save any extra money to buy a Juki!!!!
I currently do not own any of these darling rulers, but have been thinking about investing in them very soon! I love to make smaller quilts, mini quilts and table toppers and these rulers would make my life SO MUCH EASIER! Thanks & Happy Holidays! Nettie from Spanish Fork, UT
I don’t have any of your rulers and I think I need them! Thank you for the beautiful pictures, I love seeing snow, but have lived in the South most of my life and I love the mild Florida winters. ๐
Lisa they look amazing and I do want them but it looks like santa claus is bringing me a new alternator for my car instead of rulers. I will get them ASAP they look amazing. Merry Christmas Cathy R
I need these ๐ My rulers are getting old, almost all bought the same year. I was blessed a few years back to attend the Raleigh Quilt Symposium where your store was a vendor, bought two kits….one with very small pieces. I would truly enjoy using your small measure rulers to cut the pieces correctly. Love the photos of your new home showing snow.
I absolutely love my Creative grids rulers – I have 4 of them and i use them all the time …. but I do not have your Creative Grids rulers so I definitely need them as I tend to cut a lot of that Primitive Gatherings fabric. I just used up the last of my Primitive Gatherings muslim …. boo!
I received a gift card to your shop and wanted to buy something that I could remember the giver every time I used it. I bought one of your rulers and I know my cutting is more accurate. Also, I have noticed more patterns with 1/8 markings……so it is a win win.
Love the house pictures, your sewing room view is inspiring.
I wish for the square ruler. I do like the measurement markings on them it would eliminate stop and counting 1/8th markings. :o) …Now, snow Friday into Saturday, turning to sleet, freezing rain, rain…followed by lightening and thunder last night around 2:30 am to thick fog this morning and 48degrees. Now freezing in the teens and windy. What a weekend. Thank you for the Holdiay Quilt patterns and all you share.
I just recently discovered CG rulers. I have several from a different manufacturer but am adding CG as the budget allows. I would love to win a set of yours after reading your description.
73 degrees on Saturday and raking leaves awoke this morning to 23 degrees and light dusting of snow Your Itty Bitty Rulers have helped me become a more accurate quilter–don’t think I could quilt without them now
I enjoyed the pictures of your beautiful snow! I have been wanting a ruler like this for a long time. I really need to win one and would love to do so. Thank you for the opportunity!
I have your 2 small itty bitty rulers and they are awesome! I would love to get your 5 X 15 ruler too. Its on my Christmas wish list. I would love to win a set and have duplicates since I have 2 cutting stations and use both when sewing. I also have a friend that comes to sew with me that uses my rulers when we sew together. Your rulers are my favorites. Thanks for the chance to win. Lisa
I’ve seen these rulers but don’t have one to try. My collection of rulers has started to dwindle from going to retreats and sew fests so when I can replace them, I’ll try to find some of these or maybe Santa will tuck one in my stocking!
I’ve heard your rulers are awesome. I would love to win a set. I’m in central Montana and we had 16″ of snow this last week and woke up to -31 degrees Saturday morning. We’re warming up though and are supposed to see near 40 degrees by Tuesday. It was a great weekend to catch up on some stitching and baking.
Your house is beautiful, and the views are amazing! I don’t “need” to win, but it would sure be fun. I’m pondering which size to order. But thanks for the chance.
I have the two smaller ones and am going to treat myself to the big one, unless you treat me to it!๐
I love the small ones and they work exactly as you say helping to keep things even more accurate.
I bought the 3×7″ ruler last year and love it! I love the accuracy and keep it next to my sewing machine. My main cutting area is across the room but having the little ruler near me means it gets used all the time!
I have been considering purchasing these rulers for some time. I appreciate that so many people like them as well. Thanks for sharing all that you enjoy!
I bought your 6 x 6 Creative grid ruler last summer at your booth in Grand Rapids. Your staff did a marvelous job explaining the merits of it and I am proud to say that every expectation that they set was proven to be true. I love my little ruler and greatly appreciate my improved Curaรงao in cutting! Thank you very much! Now I am curious about the other two sizes. I appreciate that you have put them back on my radar.
I have them all but the skinny little guy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I already love creative grid rulers and then adding in the 1/8″ marks really is helpful even when not doing tiny squares. They have been super helpful on the 6″ blocks.
I have a couple of Creative Grid rulers and love their quality but none of yours. I agree with you about the 1/2″ that can definitely be a problem. Can’t afford them right now but if I don’t win one, I will be out there shopping soon!
I don’t have any of your rulers yet, but they are on my wish list. As I do more and more small blocks I see the need for special tools to make them more accurate. Thanks for the chance to win one.
When I reach for my rulers those itty bitty rulers are the ones I want. They are awesome!!!!! Lovethe 1/8th markings. Still have to get the bigger ruler. It may just have to be put in my sticking!!!!!. It is cold here in Iowa. -12 below this AM. Great day to quilt.
I don’t any any itty bitty rulers and you’ve convinced me I NEED them! I, also, avoid rulers with the 1/2″ on them unless they are square. Too many miscalculaitons
Lisa, your house is beautiful. Love the view and snow. Love that Jace has his own room.
I don’t have the rulers yet but they are definitely on my wish list. I do a lot of small block piecing so am sure they would be really helpful. Thank -you for the chance to win a set. You are very generous.
I do not have your Itty Bitty rulers and would LOVE to win a set! I have been wanting to get them for awhile and you have definitely convinced me that they are much needed. We are originally from New England and now live in eastern North Carolina were we don’t get much…if any…snow. Sure do miss it’s beauty!
I bought a few of your rulers last year and LOVE them. Your snow-surrounded home is just beautiful. I agree – I don’t think I could live somewhere where it didn’t snow – especially during the holidays – it just isn’t the same if it’s not a white Christmas.
I don’t have these rulers, but would love to own/win one or all. I have recently fell in love with doing miniatures. I’m sure they would be of great help in this endeavor.
I am not certain if I need these rulers or if I just want these rulers! Like most quilters, I find that every tool that provides that little extra bit of help to make the cutting job easier is a joy to use. I did not know that you were on the design team for these rulers… kudos to you, Lisa! i would be delighted to win a set.
I have the three rulers, but would love to see Lisa design a larger one the size of my new favorite or 8 x 12. Would definitely use the larger size without the 1/2 increase.
I have two of your rulers, and love them. I’m hoping to make a mini every month in 2017. So I’m sure they’ll see a lot of use! No snow here, and we’re getting snow shoes, too! Merry Christmas.
I have your smaller rulers and l love using them, especially great and accurate with small blocks like MOC.
I need to get the new one when the budget allows.
Your new house is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the photos.
I have one of your rulers with a kit….which of course is in the “to do” pile! No snow here on the island of Kauai…but our temps got down to 61′ the other day…..brrrrrrr…it was cold! I had to go out into my car and turn on my heater to warm up! I need to win a set of your rulers….I am learning preciseness is the only way to quilt!
Just checked out the rulers on the site, love the 1/8 inch marks. But alas, I cannot afford these right now. Would love the opportunity to win a set. Hopefully I will be chosen. Merry Christmas to all!
Those look amazing: I don’t own a set, but can definitely see how good they must be: I’ve hated a certain brand that I couldn’t see the edge of my fabric when I cut with them. I do own a creative grids ruler and I do love the black and white markings: it makes things so much easier!! And your home looks wonderful!!! But I can definitely live without the snow. Raised in Calif and did 4 years in College in the snow: I love that I can have flowers blooming in my potted plants right now! ๐ But our summers do get awfully brown!! Thanks for the chance to win your rulers!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg
I do not have your rulers so I think I will put them on my Christmas list love that they have 1/8 measures would come in handy. Merry Christmas. Oh and your house is beautiful.
I have all three of these rulers and I love them. They are so easy to read and use and I love the no half inch because I have messed up my cutting so many times. Thanks.
I am the ruler queen in our quilting group, but I do not have this set — will have to try at least one of them! That small rectangular one looks handy! Unfortunately I have purchased many rulers I never use! Those demos at quilt shows get me every time!
I’m in the “need” category ๐ I have one small ruler with 1/8 lines that I’m not even sure where I got it but the lines are all the same and it’s actually kind of hard to read. The Creative Grids looks much more user friendly.
Love the pretty scenes from you home. Merry Christmas!
I would love to have these rulers- they would be perfect for cutting my miniatures. I live in the mountains of NY and it snowed three times last week. I took my granddaughter sledding. Wow, it’s hard to get up off the sled when you get old. It was still fun!
Would really love to win those rulers!! They would really help with The Magic of Christmas blocks!! Have been cutting between the standard marks on my rulers to get the 1/8th’s etc.!! It’s accurate as long as they are all the same but a little slow going!!
Hope the rest will be easier with the new rulers!!๐๐
At this time I DON’T own (hint, hint), any of these rulers–would love to try them. Being a one income family right now is holding up purchasing any of the rulers. Happy Holidays stay warm. Love the view.
I live in Menasha and yes we have enough snow for awhile. I have places to go and things to do yet before Cmas and the only downfall is slippery roads. But, one of my ventures will be to your Quilt Shop as I am fortunate to live only 2 blocks away. I will purchase your rulers and your cutting papers. Never used them before but will be making your MOC quilt and I have never made small pieces before. So this will not only be a lovely quilt but a learning experience for me.
Thanks for all your helpful advice whenever I make one of your creations, and the girls at the store are also very helpful.
I now have all three of the rulers thanks to a really great Black Friday sale this year. I love the 1/8th inch markings and when combined with the Creative Grids non slip brand and they are perfect.
Hi Lisa, I don’t own any of these rulers but I know the 1/8″ markings would be very helpful. And, to cut 5″ charm squares. They’re on my Santa wish list. Thank you.
Hi LIsa, my second comment – I just had to say how beautiful your house looks and love the views from your sewing room. How do you ever leave that room??? Nick took a beautiful photo of your house in the evening.
I have 1 ruler and kit..that is just waiting to be used. Sorry…no snow here on Kauai…but we did get down to 61′ the other morning! Brrrrr…that’s freezing for us! I need your rulers….preciseness is the only way to cut and quilt!
These rulers are the best. I have made some small quilts and they are the perfect size to use with the smaller pieces of fabric. I really enjoy small quilts and all of my friends think that I am nuts cutting my fabric into such small pieces, but with these rulers it is no problem. I love being able to see the fabric through the dashed lines. It makes things easier and the 1/8 marks are great!!!! I am putting a
second set on my list of quilting supplies wanted for Christmas!!
It’s been snowy & freezing rain here in Slippery Rock PA ๐ I have had the same ruler for many years…glad to hear they now have 1/8″ marks…would be helpful in so many block (feathered stars are my favorite)…maybe get one this year for birthday โก
I keep trying to enter my comment….this is my third attempt. Maybe my computer is too warm! No snow here on the island of Kauai…but we did get down to 61′ which is darn near freezing for us! I have 1 ruler and kit that is screaming to be used!
I not only have these rulers, but have convinced my weekly sewing group they need them also. Never a sew day goes by when someone says “I so love these rulers”, I learn so much in this group!
Love your snow pics !!! I live in the California desert so we don’t get much of the white stuff. Also LOVE your rulers, they are currently on my wish list. I am a mother of seven so this time of year have a VERY tight budget
but one can dream right ๐ !!!! Thank you for the chance, I am a huge fan of everything that you do !!!
Absolutely love the rulers. Have used them on so many things. Now what I need is a second set for my traveling/retreats/stitch-in set of tools. Love your snow pics – here in Huntsville, AL the snow is hit or miss – but we usually get at least one good snow each winter.
I have the first two rulers you came out with and they are fantastic!! I’m a very picky quilter and these help me be even more precise! Don’t hesitate to get them. And I would like to win the won I don’t have please ๐
Beautiful pics of your house….esp. with the blanket of snow. Little Patriot pattern is sooo cute, love it! & your rulers…how cool are those. I NEED to win one to try it out….money too tight to buy one. Thanks!
I love these itty bitty rulers, They are my go to rulers for piecing mini quilts especially, but I find I use them whenever I’m piecing. I love being able to go to the nearest 1/8″ as my quilts go together so much easier when the pieces are cut more accurately. I’d love a set to put in my travel bag, so I’m always sure to have them for classes, sit n sews etc. I need to get the 5 x 15 size for sure.
Good day, I can see how these rulers would work so nicely. I struggle with seeing if I’m cutting right because you just can’t see well enough. Will put them on my wish list.
I have the two smaller ones (love them!) but would love the new larger one. My aging eyes love the lines on these rulers and I think they help make your cutting so much more accurate. Thanks for the giveaway! (got about 7″ of snow in Denver, but we have the lovely sun to melt the snow off the roads pretty quickly)
