Now why do we NEED these cute little tins? Storage…we know it’s all about decluttering and storing our things beautifully….and when Moda released these little tins…I just had to have one of every size…As you can see in the following pics you can use them for sewing storage….or I have one in my purse for those moments you just need a “hit” of dark chocolate! You know what I mean..and they’re not squishing around in the bottom of my purse when in hot/sunny CA…they are stored nicely in my moda tin…These tins are so well done too!

I love to work with wool! I don’t know if I have a favorite; each project is my favorite at the time. Haha! I enjoy working with wool because it’s so forgiving, and it’s a nice project to have handy to stitch while watching The Good Wife (that show is addictive). Your wools are so nice! I just might have to take advantage of this sale — my stash is getting low!!

Well for me, it started while visiting my Mom in Illinois about 6yrs ago I think! I spotted a new quilt shop by Mom’s and having taken hand quilting back in 1980 and never pursuing further, you know first child etc. it sparked my interest. I was in there exploring you might say, for quite awhile. I chatted and asked questions trying to update my learning. But quickly fell in love with a sample , of your snowman pin cushion made with wool embroidered. I asked the woman how hard it was to learn embroidery, oh not hard! Then next question how long to make that pincushion? Of course, she did it in one day! Well ok, I expect longer for me. So I purchased the pattern, wool, Valdani thread, needles and embroidery chart! My idea was to make a few for Xmas gifts. Well, everyone received their cute pincushions that year! To be exact I had made 3, I was so proud I had accomplished my new skill! So the story goes, that was it for me ! I am a huge wool embroidery fan . I have even expanded my friends down in Texas to this skill. You know wool/embroidery. was not down here back then So I was stock piling from your shop patterns, and wool from the web. Of course my favorite project is still the snowman!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE working with wool. Your santa and tree mat is front and center on my coffee table. I am off to the quilters with a 12 block wool appliqué Autumn quilt the I recently finished and I just started your wool snowmen ornaments and the Home pin cushion. I have made several wool projects and love working with it. It is so forgiving, so it is a great introduction to hand applique. I’m not sure I have a favorite wool project, but I sure like your log cabin sewing machine pincushion and have made more than one of them!

I discovered wool applique in early 2015, and I have been hooked ever since! I have completed 3 BOMs, but haven’t sewn them together. One of these days! In the meantime … on to the next project!!!

Lisa, I just finished frosting my Christmas sugar cookies! (When I was cutting out the stars, I thought of you since I know that you make star cookies every year.) Make them every year, but I must admit that each year the job seems a bit more overwhelming for me–but I will continue to do it because my family looks forward to them. Decorating them with colored sprinkles is my favored choice–but–my little grandchildren like the ones that I decorate with food-safe “markers”! My littlest grandson refers to them as the ones that I “write on”. I also make the chocolate cake log every year; it is delicious but takes quite a bit of time–but it is something that my family expects to have at our house–so I enjoy making it!!
I make chocolate dipped spoons to serve with hot chocolate and for gifts. They are very festive!
Also several kinds of cookies and a strawberry pie.
Trying out a new recipe this year for gingerbread cookies! I found the cutest gingerbread man cookie cutter when I went to Bulk Foods in Greenville, WI last month and a really good recipe online that I just have to try! The other thing that I always make is Bun Bar candy. Think triple layer fudge with peanuts, melted butterscotch & chocolate chips and a pound of powdered sugar with some other yummy ingredients! My recipe makes a cake pan 9″ x 13″ full of this awesome goodness!!!

Love the tins! I’m not a very good baker so instead, I make ornaments. I make a list of everyone that I’d give cookies too and make a small package of ornaments instead! There’s soooo many cute, inexpensive ornament ideas out there and they’re super fun to make!
I always knit socks for our daughter and granddaughters, sometimes even for our son-in-law! I have made several batches of cookies this year already, and will make more by the weekend. Those tins are really neat!

Of course I would love the Moda tins, can use them in any number of ways. I make some of the traditional dessert made by my Austrian grandmother, especially kolaches and nutroll.
I love making pies and cakes for Christmas dinner. Usually make finger foods for work but not this year. I have been very busy quilting. I love these little tins. I gave the small one to quilting buddies and received the large one as a gift, but would love to have more as they are very useful and cute.
I bake, and bake, and bake! Nut roll..my grandma’s recipe from Slovakia! Cut out cookies, peanut butter kiss cookies, thumbprint, Swedish (snow balls) candy cane and the old standby Chocolate Chip cookies. Then, on to home made chicken soup, mushroom soup and Bobalki (Slovak) little pcs of bread with honey and poppy seed.
I could use the little tins to stash needles, thread and quilt clips for when I take sewing for my day with mom! The little tin could be used as a pill box!
I make a yummy butter “gun” cookie. My boys called them gun because we used an electric cookie dispenser that had several different shapes and it reminded them of a gun, since you pulled the trigger to have the dough come out. They are now 29 and 31 and still call the gun cookies. My husband makes my mother’s molasses crinkle cookies. After she could no longer make them, he took over since those are one of his favorites and hers as well. She has been gone for almost 10 years and he still makes them. I use to make several kinds, but these are favorites so that is what is made.
The tins are so cute! I make rum soaked fruit cakes, mini banana breads (with chocolate chips and walnuts in them!), fudge with walnuts and raisins, biscotti, coconut meringues, date chews…today I am making cinnamon sugared almonds!
I make gifts for all my teachers and staff. This year I made zippered bags. No baking any more. I end up eating it all! 😉

I made 26 kinds of cookies, tamales, fudge, various other candies and lefse. Thankfully, I do have great help.
Yummy! I want cookies!!! I make a Californian fruitcake. It is sooo good especially with rum on top…then it sits in the refrigerator for a week. It is made with dried fruits not candied fruits-dried apricots, dates, and golden raisins and lots of almonds and walnuts.

Those are the nicest tins ever, I can thing of a few things I can put in those. Especially when I am doing hand piecing. I don’t make any extra goodies at Christmas, but my boys make sure that no matter who’s house we go to for Christmas or Christmas eve dinner, that it is my job to make the mashed potatoes. I typically make about 10 pounds of mashed potatoes or real close to it because they all have to have their share to take home too. 10 pounds of mashed potatoes takes about 3-4 pounds of bacon, at least a pound of butter, and 2 or 3 packages of cream cheese. The boys will then have left over mashed potatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner until they are gone.

Mom’s recipe peanut butter fudge, chocolate fudge, orange cake with orange butter cream icing, coconut cake with coconut butter cream icing (fresh oranges and coconut hand grated of course), and devils (does anyone call it that still LOL) food cake with white marshmallow icing. This is what Mom did so I continue the tradition now she is gone using her recipes. Salty – cheese balls of course. Merry Christmas and thanks for a chance at these fun tins.
For Christmas I’m usually asked to make caramel corn and chex mix. I don’t bake many cookies anymore but usually try to get a batch or two of cut-outs made. I used to make lots of candies but have given that up. Thought I’d try a batch of caramels and some fudge this year as I know the grandkids will enjoy them! The little tins are really cute. I’m always looking for little boxes for storing things in my sewing room! Never thought of using them for carrying chocolates in my purse though!
I make peanut brittle and cookies. My Mom andI used to bake a lot together. Her pecan pie was the best ( lots of pecan)!! I forgot how easy the brittle is to make. Now my son and I will continue these traditions.

I make Gluten Free dressing for our Christmas dinner–AND, I noticed you had Dove Darks in one of the tins–yeah! They’re one of my favorite candies, and…my grandsons tell their friends that their Nana has Dove Darks hidden in her room! 🙂
I make different things depending on the year. But I usually like to make almond tarts, my grandma’s recipe, but they are very time intensive. I also make other various cookies.
I make tons of cookies, as I live with the Cookie Monster. My daughter and I bake dozens upon dozens of cookies. Everyone always asks” Are we getting cookies this year”. We usually do our favorites, and every year find some new to try. We love Rainbow Cookies, that I think mostly people from the north would know. They are three layers of almond paste cookie, with fruit in the middle layers, and then topped with chocolate. They are Yummy, yummy. Only make them once a year. For the past few years I now make a Pumpkin Roll, thanks to the receipe that came from the Larson home. Mr.Larson, not the Stacey we know. Her husband is the cook in that house. We do have a double oven, and it surely comes in handy this time of year.

Today I made 61 Reese’s peanut butter cookies…my favorite. In the freezer I have snowballs and toffee bars with chocolate raspberrry squares (grandsons favorite) and raspberry tart cookies left to make. Have 3 pumpkin breads made to tie with a pretty ribbon and give to friends. Love your beautiful clean oven with three pans of cookies baking at once….is it convection? I made cranberry orange honey butter, sugar cookies with sprinkles of course, pecan pie, cherry pecan bread and homemade English Muffin bread. I make several different cookies – snickerdoodles but roll them in green or red sugars instead of cinnamon/sugar, spice drop cookies, salted caramel snickerdooles (can you tell I love snickerdoodles?), peanut clusters, caramels, and peanut butter Ritz dipped in white almond bark. YUM!!

We make a pull candy like Mom used to make. Hers was better, but we are trying. She would be proud.
I always make lefse for Christmas. The cookies may or may not get done, but the lefse is a must. My grandmother used to make it on an old washing machine lid, or on a wood-burning stove. My dad and mom made it on a stovetop griddle, but later graduated to a real lefse griddle. I have carried on that tradition. It just would not be Christmas without lefse. We do not eat it with sugar. For us, it is something to eat with our meals, or dip in gravy. Sometimes, we use it for a sandwich instead of bread. Other times, it is just a real treat. I guess I enjoy celebrating my Norwegian heritage.
For Christmas I make lots of family favorites that are a tradition, so I have to make lots! Peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate, gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, fudge, and many more! My mother made the best divinity ever and sadly she passed away this summer unexpectantly, so I will be adding that to my list of to do’s. I also love to make a big chocolate with whipped cream filling yule log!!
I can pass on the sweets (I know, I’m weird) but I love to smoke a turkey for Christmas and then make soup with the stock and any leftovers. It’s super easy and everyone loves it.

I always make Sugared Walnuts, Grandma B’s Special Cookies (I put the recipe together after she passed away. She never wrote it down but the kids say they taste as good so… the tradition continues.), old-fashioned fudge and several other cookies. Love to bake! Love tins!! My two girls and I love to get together to do our Christmas baking. We make sour cream cookies, eggnog logs, peanut butter balls, caramel white chocolate chex mix, pretzel/kisses melts, gingerbread cookies, caramels and fudge puddles. Whew! Keeps us moving on baking day.
My daughter and I make coconut cloud cookies and mini banana bread and cranberry orange breads for gifts. I Iove citrus in the winter, sometimes I make dried, sugared orange and grapefruit peels, but I’m the only one who eats them!
I have made peanut butter fudge and 2 batches of THE BEST BOURBON BALLS in the world. I am going to make sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies and peppermint bark. I never make as much as I would like to make. I always just run out of time. We will be giving gifts of homemade goodies to all of the friends that we visit this week plus take some to our daughter in Fishers, IN.
For years I have made Scottish Shortbread from a recipe passed down from my Mother’s girlfriend’s Mom who came from Scotland. Only three ingredients but they take an hour to bake per batch. To get them that rectangle shape, I cut them with a pizza cutter and my quilting rulers. It makes my sewing friends chuckle! Each year my son and I bake 50 batches. That’s 3000+ bars to package for family, friends and co-workers. It’s kind of become a Smith family tradition for the last 30 years.

I make lots of cookies, fudge, cinnamon buns, cheese ball, etc. I give a lot of it away as gifts. One elderly gentleman always says with a smile,”Ah, my cookies!” Well worth the effort!
I make some gifts every year . I also make my moms coconut nut bars, munchie crunchies, brownies snd other assorted desserts. I love Christmas and all the family fun that goes with visiting and catching up on each otherd lives.
I usually make some kind of snack mix. Sweet/salty with white chocolate. In fact, I took 25 snack bags to work just today.
Cute tins! I made 4 different kinds of cookies, gave most of them away. Need to make fudge, puppy chow and banana breads for my daycare parents. I made a bunch of small pillows out of wool, snowmen faces and other designs. Finished your wool snowman couple today and made 8 small snowmen ornaments. These snowmen are so cute. A great way to use up all the extra wool I have in storage. Your cookies look so good!
I make pecan sandies, spritz, cut outs. I don’t make as much candy as I used to, but my late mother in law made the best caramels. When my sister and I were little girls, Mom would make cut out cookies.
We would help her frost them and they would be hung on the tree. We didn’t have a lot of ornaments, but our tree was always beautiful.

I have made ginger molasses cookies and peanut butter cookies. Plain and simple, but it took some work to do them gluten free this year to accommodate family dietary needs. They came out great!
Lisa, you will understand what kind of circumstance we are living in this holiday season; we are adding 1000 square feet onto our home as my mom (aged 86) moved in. I’m getting a studio out of it, but right now, all of Mom’s things are in boxes all over the house, the living room and dining room are unusable, the kitchen has boxes stacked up (her kitchen goodies), more in the basement…. Needless to say, no room for a tree so it really doesn’t feel like Christmas at all. Cookies are all I’ve done special. You know I could use all manner of organizers for my new sewing space, so those tins look great to me!

I make caramel popcorn but add macadamia nuts, pecans, and cashews to it. This year I made cherry bars and brownies with green frosting. I bought Xmas cookies!
I made butter cookies, pretzel dipped in white chocolate, Banket (a Dutch pastry filled with almond paste), and a nibble mix we call “Crack” because it’s addictive. It’s made with corn Chex, rice Chex, Fritos corn chips and cashew nuts.

My daughter and granddaughters and I baked this last Saturday. We made cut out cookies, ginger cookies, thumbprint cookies, peanut clusters, the pretzels with a rolo on them with the pecan, white chock covered pretzels,club cracker cookies, toffee,and of course Chex mix. I made Yule log cookies, lots of them. They are pecan sandies made with mini chocolate chips instead of pecans, as nuts are a problem for my family.

Well this may seem weird but we always make lasagna for christmas. My husband is Italian and he makes the best ever lasagna. I do have to supervise, though, because left to his own devices he makes the meatballs softball sized. Your cookies look yummy!

I haven’t had divinity in years! My grandma and dad used to make it. In fact I am going to try to call and request it now. I make cookie. I used to make a ton but only two would get eaten so now I go us on sugar cookies with butter cream frosting. All dairy free too. People fight over them.

When that’s done, I make peanut butter kiss cookies, shortbread tree cookies, and my great grandma’s recipe of Russian tea cakes and butter cookies. Whew! I make a set of handmade ornaments for each of my adult children. This year featured one of our theme trees, The Team Tree. The 36 ornies all honored Washington State University Cougars, Seattle Seahawks, and The Splash Brothers of the Golden State Warriors. I discovered that I could print images on fabric, and then add applique, embroidery, and beads.
I always make toffee and scotcheroos (peanut butter Rice Krispie bars with chocolate and butterscotch chips melted over the top) and several kinds of cookies. Think I’m going to try caramels this year, too.

Well, there are always christmas cookies, but we don’t have one recipe that we always make.
We make peanut butter chocolate fudge from my mother in law’s recipe. Have to use her dish too. My niece makes wonderful caramels and I would like to try them sometime too.
Baked cookies all day yesterday with my daughter and grandkids we made peanut butter balls, some gluten free for my daughter, chocolate cookie with rollover in center, peanut blossom, toffee pretzels, peppermint bark and some breads.
I make Divinity and chocolate bark each year. I love giving them as gifts to friends and neighbors. These tins are adorable!
I make cut out cookies, cranberry oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies & peanut butter with the kisses in the middle. Now, I also make bars, cranberry with cream cheese icing. I love cranberries, most don’t, but these bars would change your mind.
I had a friend teach me how to make homemade caramels back in the 80’s, and since then that has been my go to each year. I also make licorice caramels, and I’m still experimenting with Rum caramels. I also make “white trash” or “Christmas Crack” . It’s crispix cereal, cheerios, pretzels, macadamia nuts, cashews all coated with white chocolate and some red and green sprinkles. Once you start munching you can’t stop. Some years I make cinnamon rolls. But I am yearning for some sugar cookies with lots of frosting and sprinkles.

The one thing I make every year is my jeweled pyramid cookies. My mom always made them when I was growing up, and now my kids and grandkids always want them. I make various other goodies and this year I made a batch of hot buttered rum! My daughter-in-law and I always mix up old fashions to drink! I would love a set of these cute little tins – afraid 50 sets are not going to go very far!
I make molasses cookies like my mom always made. Also make a chip dip that my mom made for special occasions only. I have started a baking day tradition with my mom and daughter in laws. I love making homemade candy but I’m afraid it doesn’t happen every year. I have an amazing ginger cookie recipe for cut-out cookies, not gingerbread but thin and crispy, that I love to make with my grandkids. It would be fun deciding what to store in those darling little tins.
I used to make fudge, peanut and date candy, mounds candy and ginger snaps. But now without my kids here to eat and I am not suppose to eat it. I just enjoy the treats when I go out. Less stress for me for sure. Nobody really misses the candy with all the other good food over the Christmas holiday. AND you can never have to many tins!
Sweet nothings, 2 different flavors of fudge, sugar cookies. We have a small gathering than we used too. But such good food and a great day filled with laughter!

Well, I’m the pie maker. I make the pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My favorite is my banana cream from scratch.

Before being diagnosed with celiac disease I baked lots of flavored breads and shortbreads, with an occasional batch of cookies. These days I am still trying to find recipes for gluten free goodies that don’t taste gluten free. Haven’t baked a thing this holiday. But I always make lots of holiday soaps! : )
Two weeks before Christmas my two daughters and I have a Christmas goodies day. We make chocolate fudge, sugar cookies, buckeyes, chocolate covered pretzel rods, Oreos dipped in white chocolate, Ritz crackers with peanut butter dipped in white chocolate, peanut clusters, chocolate covered raisins, popcorn drizzled with chocolate and coconut bon-bons (recipe my Mom got in the 1960’s and have been using it every Christmas since then). We give some of the goodies to colleagues and then we “graze” on the rest of it.
I just made brownies tonight….not a specialty cookie for Christmas, but its chocolate and oh so yummy to add a choice to all the Christmas cookies. Also a neighbor passed along a bag of currants to my daughter to make cookies. I’ve never seen currants! I expected them to be bigger than raisins. no, much smaller. So we’re looking forward to making a new cookie this year.
Our family (my Mom) has made Swedish coffee ring for Christmas morning every year since I was a little girl. Now I make Swedish coffee ring if I’m not fortunate to be at her place on Christmas morning. The other must have is fantasy fudge — with or without nuts! I love it.
I make icebox cookies and Christmas coffee cake. We used to make lots of cookies but now the kids are all gone and we don’t want to eat them all 😬
I make chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge. Then I make maple cinnamon rolls for breakfast. And I make peppermint ice cream pie and chocolate mint ice cream pie for Christmas Dinner dessert. I love to bake!
I have made christmas biscotti for my family for years…..we are all coffee drinkers and there is nothing better that a hot cup of coffee and a piece of biscotti in the afternoon!
I’m not a big baker any more, but I still try to make the “kids” favorites. I always make Mom’s Chex mix recipe and the soft sugar cookies that Great Gramma made. Those are for sure traditions. But then I toss in snickerdoodles– my fave!

I try to package them cutely & distribute to friends & neighbors. I haven’t even started yet this year! My daughter arrives tomorrow & will be here for almost a week. Every year we make rocky road fudge….a simple recipe…..we always get requests for it……we make quite a few batches every Christmas…..always fun!! Another must have are spritz cookies…..started the “tradition’” with our granddaughter a few years ago…….very easy for her to “squeeze” the cookie press and add lots and lots of sprinkles!! She insists that we make them for Santa every year!! Lots of fun traditions!!

The tins are so cute! I’ve cut down from making 25 different kinds of cookies and squares for Christmas – which I used to sell – to only 10 this year! I asked each of my 5 kids, my son-in-law, my son’s girlfriend and my husband to tell me which were their favorited and those are the ones I made. Quite a few of my squares have cream cheese in them – peppermint bonbon brownies, toffee-crunch cheesecake squares, mocha cheesecake bars ….. I also make a white chocolate raspberry cookie that I quite often get asked for the recipe. All so good – no calories….

I made a scrappy Christmas stocking for our guest, and will be making mashed potatoes with mashed sweet potatoes for our dinner. We have to avoid too much sweets, they reduce our immunity to bugs.

Hersheys cinnamon chip oatmeal cookies are baking constantly in my oven during this time of year. The chips are hard to come by, so we have a freezer full to last a few months!

I have a tradition of making pecan balls rolled in powdered sugar. These little goodies are my favorite and have been for years!! I also have been making caramels for the past few years. This year I even dipped them in chocolate with sea salt – they are just as good as can be!!
There is one other tradition I have, and that is making something homemade for all my employees for Christmas. Years ago I started with 8 employees, and now I am up to 13. It gets more challenging to find something to make that is as good as the year before. I even have made a few quilting projects for my staff, and PG patterns have come in handy. 🙂
Everyone likes my cut out cookies especially the frosting so I make them every year.
I love to make fudge , cookies and things I call gifts of good taste! These include hot coco mix, jars filled with ingredients to make a batch of cookies, jelly when berries are in season and other treats like mixes made with cereal, peanuts and white chocolate. I’ve also made turtle pretzel rods which are especially yummy. People love to get a cute lunch bag decorated with a stencil and a ribbon closure or a mason jar filled with a homemade treat. They are great gifts which don’t cost a lot and the best part is they are a consumable. I wonder how many teachers have a million apple ornaments!! Lisa, I too want to give caramels a try. I make a huge batch of party mix, cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies. Lemon pie, apple pie, and what ever anybody requests. Those tins are so cute! I use my collection of Christmas tins to store my cookies, candies and party mix in.

Even now my grown kids come by to visit during the holidays they look for a certain treat that I “always” stored in a particular tin . They know which tin to open if they want a certain cookie or goodie..”sweet” traditions! 🙂
Well! Dessert is my thing!! Why bother with “real” food dessert is doubly good(get it) that’s what my Mom always said!! I make million dollar, sugar , linger tort and molasses crinkle cookies @ least. Red velvet cake, cheesecake, cherry and apple pies. Depending on requests there could be more. Plus, if there’s a new recipe I make it and take it to work because if you’ve ever worked nights (7p-7a) you know they’ll eat Anything!! So, they are my guinea pigs!! I love to bake and cook if someone else will eat it!!
Hi Lisa, this is the time of the year I try to make whatever my family request. But always snickerdoodles, molasses cookies ,cut out cookies, sugar cookies for the grand kids to decorate . Even puppy cookies for my fur babies.

I make a super easy carmel pecan candy. You take a mini pretzel and put a rolo candy on top of it. Put it in the oven at 200* until the chocolate starts to soften. Take out of oven push a pecan half into the soften rolo. Yummy!!!

My favorite time – baking season!! lol I love making yeast breads, so mashed potato rolls for dinners and cinnamon rolls for breakfasts. Also all kinds of cookies – sour cream sugar cookie cut-outs are usually the first I do, as the grandkiddos love to help decorate them. Italian cream horn minis and those peanut butter with chocolate kiss toppers are the grown kiddos favorites. Then, last on the list are the chocolates: cream centered peanut clusters, mint patties, cranberry/cashew bark, and pecan turtles. Thanks for the chance!! Hi Lisa, I try to make as many gifts for friends and family as I have time. My baking traditions are pretty firm– peanut butter balls, fudge, Carmel corn, chex mix, candy covered pretzels, and at least 3 kinds of cookies. My family loves the holidays.
I have to admit that my husband does most of the baking in our house. He makes the best brownies and cookies. My contribution is clean up.
I love baking goodies with my adult kids when they come in to town. We don’t have particular treats we make but we try to look for new things to try. Cinnamon rolls are pretty much the only guaranteed thing we make. Baking just brings that warm and cozy Christmas feeling and it’s a nice thing to do together and then deliver some to friends to make their day too.
I make some amazing carmels: not my recipe, but if you want a really good and easy one, you can email me! And I usually do chocolate dipped nuts, and last year I made a white chocolate and chopped dried apricot candy: it turned out great too. Too many good things this time of year!!
I make divinity, fudge, cranberry bread, biscochitos, sugar cookies (for frosting), maple thumbprints, snowballs, snicker doodles, and pecan pie tarts. We don’t eat to many sweets during the year but for Christmas I get to enjoy my baking and now I get to share the baking with my 5 yr old grand daughter and 4 yr old grandson all while listening to Christmas music and taking a few breaks to do a little dance with them. I make caramels and chex mix!! It is funny how we have started the traditions of certain foods for each holiday. Another thing that my kids like to have for each holiday is scalloped potatoes loaded with velvetta cheese sauce. One year I did not make them and that will never happen again!!
Right now we are living in a space with really no kitchen to speak of but what I like to make is toffee – with chocolate on top. Cookies are always good too !!!! Ok – lets be real anything homemade is fantastic !!!
This year I made home made vanilla – something different to share with my family and friends. Also made my own hot chocolate mix and packaged up in Christmas mugs with marshmallows and a candy cane. I spend an entire weekend baking for the Christmas. May seven different cookies, fudge, toffee (yummy), Always do what we call Nuts N Bolts (chex mix) and Crispix Mix. I make an assortment of cookies for the Christmas season. A must is my paternal Grandmother’s Cut out cookies with a special ingredient of sour cream and another must is my maternal Grandmother’s Scottish Shortbread cookies. Along with these two I make Date Filled, Chocolate Crinkles, Peanut Butter Kiss, Chewy Molasses, and most recently Swedish Kola Kokar cookies. I also make Peanut Butter filled Ritz crackers dipped in chocolate, pretzels dipped in Almond bark, and this year I tried a Sugared and Spiced Pecans that were divine.
I make Strawberry bread for our neighbors. If I have time, it will chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles and ginger crinkles.

Our family has got a sweet tooth..,grandma’s favorite is walnut fudge and the kids love the fudge where the marshmallows don’t get melted but chocolate peanut butter mixture goes all around and hardens. I love gingerbread and peanut better with kisses in the middle. My daughter is home from college and we are baking today!!!
This year has been an especially busy Christmas season, so baking and making has fallen by the wayside. I did make my toasted pecan clusters and did 2 other quick and easy treats (rolos on pretzels topped with a pecan and cream cheese bites) that were hits. I have not been able to get in my sewing room much either. Suffering from withdrawal! Thanks for all your giveaways, but especially I give thanks for you and your creative talents. My family insists that I bring the pecan pie(s), fudge and rum balls. Occasionally I also make brownies, but my niece has gotten pretty good with those (my recipe) so I’m off the hook on that one. Our buffet table is filled full with my sister’s copper pennies, my SIL’s twice baked potatoes and an incredible mac & cheese. I’ve asked for the recipe but she says it will go with her to her grave. PLEASE, if someone asks for the recipe, share it-it’s a compliment. I hate to think how many family recipes have been lost because some aunt didn’t want to share.

I bake less than I used too, but cranberry white chocolate chip oatmeal cookies are a new favorite at our house.. What is do make every year is a pillowcase for each of my eight grandchildren. I tailor it to their current interest and use as a Santa sack for their gifts. Saves a lot of wrapping time and they love finding their pillowcase among the pile.

I put together layers of beans and spices in quart jars to give to a few neighbors and I almost always make chocolate chip cookies. Cute tins. Always handy
I love cookies but they never look like yours do!! I make an assembly line of bowls with all of the ingredients for lasagna. I get disposable aluminum pans then start filling them with sauce.. (my secret Ingredient is sugar in the sauce!)…cheese.etc. I give the gift of supper to a few busy families that are so kind to us all year long. They can bake it when they need a break! People that work so hard are always thankful for supper so it seems to work ok.
I make pecan tarts, peanut blossoms, white chocolate chip cookies with Macadamia nuts, and French cookies. Now to do some dusting. P.S. we all need extra storage. Thank you for all the needful things!
I make lots of peanut brittle and fudge for sure..maybe a cookie or two. My daughters and granddaughters are taking over the cookie making for our Christmas and I love it!!

It’s been a tradition for a long time for the “girls” in the family to spend a weekend together making candy and cookies. We slumber party at “home” and get a lot done! Working together makes it seem like less work. We may even take a break and watch a movie or two. Great times and great memories!!
