img_9786I mixed up my rows…so not so bad…but I have to admit…I like the other one too…maybe I just created another block!!!  Sorry, see just shows you we all mix things up a bit….

It was a quilt folding day…

img_9740Amy and I folded lots of antique quilts and a few of my quilts today and lovingly placed them in their new home…I am so pleased with how this all turned out…img_9782img_9780img_9783

The good news…there is still some room in here…it would have been a bummer if it was full…

After hurrying to get these all done…it was time for a birthday party!!!! Little Man turned 2 today!!! I quick assembled my most requested Honey Mustard Layered Salad…recipe HERE

He was the sweetest ever tonight…with his little buddies…blowing out his candle…telling everyone how old he is…and opening his presents and sharing them…he’s growing up so fast…jace jamesTwo…I’m two…lol…

Lisa. Does the sewn block really match the drawn pattern? Linda Davis

So pretty all your quilts stored by color!
Nice to see little man having a “real birthday party” instead of an over the top party.

Your block doesn’t look like the illustration of Block 9. You’ve placed the lights and darks differently. Why is that?

Think that the pattern and picture are two different blocks.

Curious if you have any concern about the wood “damaging” those antique quilts. Do you have paper of some sort (acid free) between the wooden shelf and the quilts?

    1. lisabongean Avatar

no…they are finished ..not raw…and have dried for over a month before we put the quilts on them…

Happy Bday to your little Man, he’s adorable. We were blessed with our first grandbaby 5 mos. ago, so much fun seeing her grow and change!

What a jammed packed post! All of the things I love. I could take the little boy, the dog, and the salad and live in the quilt room.

The blocks are great Lisa. Your little man is a doll!
I love all of your quilts and I would really suggest that you line those shelves with muslin or acid free tissue even though they’re finished. Or if you have a wonderful new finish that prevents acid damage to fabric, please share it with us. Those quilts are gorgeous works of art- both yours and the vintage ones!

Excuse me, but why would I need your permission to do whatever I want with half square triangles ??? Do you have a patent or copy rite on half square triangles ??? ??
