Country Version of The Magic of Christmas…

“little man” said my quilt was “cute”!!!! so adorable!!!

I know some of you are still working on your Magic of Christmas blocks…don’t worry…so am I…I did not set the City version yet…BUT…I have the Country version back from Vegas Val, one of my dear friends and magical machine quilters…I know the quilting is not the star on this quilt…but…I still wanted to give you some ideas on how to quilt yours…I also washed this quilt as soon as the binding was on…I wanted the threads to sink in and hide as well as the quilting to pop!   Val does an amazing job on my quilts and I am very pleased this one is done and perfect!!!     See close-ups at end of post…

Now..I am asking for you who have finished this quilt to send me photos…We will be publishing this as a book…and I cannot do all the versions we patterned and we also love the ones who did their own versions as well…all colors and so on…We are starting on the book but It will take awhile so don’t fret..there is no set deadline as I am self publishing and we don’t have to have a strict deadline…but we won’t wait forever…if you would like us to consider your quilt for the book…please contact me at:     lisa.bongean@yahoo.com                   serious inquiries only- like… if you haven’t started your blocks yet don’t email me..lol…we can also discuss…what’s in it for you!!!

And…just an FYI I have finally removed the links for the Magic of Christmas patterns from my blog…I left them up 3 months longer than I told you I was going to…so hopefully you have them all..If someone asks you for the pattern..can you please tell them the book is coming?!!!

If you have any questions that I can answer about “the magic of christmas” or the quilting please email me or reply on this post…

Yours is stunning. Just beautiful. I am still piecing mine, won’t hear from me to put in your book. But the motivation is on again. That shot on your table is just too much. I love. Good job

Love the way the quilting runs off of the angle of the pieced boarder. She does phenomenal work! And I agree, a quilt doesn’t come to life till it is washed.

Good Morning What a darling little man, and he likes your quilt. Your quilt is Gorgeous and the quilting is perfect too. Is this the quilt that is going to be in your new book? I love a red and white quilt, never have made one yet. I’m retired now so I will have the time. I love your emails, a dear friend told me about you, her name is Jan Tracy, from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Love your finish and I love how it was quilted! I did the city version and have the top together and first border on– trying to decided if I’m doing the half square triangles or the pieced border you did— decisions- decisions🙃 Thanks for all the great designs– freebies and $$ ones. I love them all. “Little Man” is so cute– thanks for sharing him. They grow up so fast!

Beautiful!. Now I am glad I haven’t started mine – I had too many irons in the fire, as happens to so many of us – but seeing your country version gives me a better idea of what I want to do with mine. Thanks for all the detailed quilting pictures, too, I always need more ideas in my own toolbox.

As always I love what you have done and thank you for posting the blocks. To make sure I have everything I have directions for 25 blocks but I’ve just seen pictures for ideas for finishing. Did I miss a post for finishing them? Now that I’m back to work I have been a bit behind and playing catch up on some projects; but I did get SEW much accomplished in the 2 months I was off work 🙂 I swear lil man is growing up so fast, and the pictures of him are adorable. Thank you again Lisa love and hugs to you and yours! Liz

Is there a “packege/kit” of your papers that are available for this whole quilt?? I purchased the City version fabric and, I think, I have all the downloaded/printed block patterns but decided to use your HST papers and would like the supply needed for this pattern…..thanks so much.
