It’s a….Splendid Sampler… Day!!!

I so excited and honored to be apart of this community of quilters selected to be apart of another great book from Martingale…we all know how great their books are …the photos are amazing!!!

Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson are the masterminds behind this book…It started as a “sew along”, featuring 100 designers/blocks and now brought together in this beautiful book!!!  The book also contains a gallery of finished quilts which gives you ideas on how to put the blocks together and instructions on some of the different techniques used in the blocks…

If you want to add this book to your collection of block books you can order it here…SPLENDID SAMPLER BOOK.

Primitive Gatherings will be giving away a Moda Layer Cake to someone who orders a Splendid Sampler book on our website by the 17th of April.

We will not ship them out until we have received all the orders and pick a winner…

There are also a lot of other information and many give-aways going on if you visit this Link...SPLENDID SAMPLER.

Good Luck and I hope you win something cool!!!

  1. Lisa, Just wanted to thank you so much for teaching me how to hand quilt on a frame. It was the greatest day of my quilting life (which has been 1 year so far) to find a way out of stitching in the ditch! Appreciate you and your wonderful quilt store here in Temecula, CA. Thanks for the tips on the sit and sew day. You were right. You can learn so much for other quilters. Thanks again, Barb Nelson

  2. Lisa, your block was one of my favorites! I REALLY enjoyed the sew along, and looking forward to trying some others in the future….have to finish this one first. I made my blocks into four lap size/wall hangings and giving them to four dear military friends. No. 2 is getting quilted, so it will be a while before I jump on to another. 😀

  3. Hi Lisa,

I’ve been doing the moda Blockheads that I receive via your blog, but I never got #4 or #5. I have 6 and 7. Where on the web do I go to get 4 AND 5? I TRIED GOING TO “Moda Blockheads” with no success.
