This week’s question.. Do you decorate with quilts for the Holidays?  Are they color-themed, or do they include holiday motifs and fabrics?   I use a color theme….vintage red/white quilts fill my home during the holidays…I am not finished yet for this year but…here are a few from last year… I hope you subscribe to my blog to see 2017’s decorating…
I just got back from my last teaching gig of the year…so I know I have a few winners to pic for our #12Contests and All in a Row Book…so look for that soon…

But I just want to thank all the new friends I have from our last retreat in the Outer Banks of NC…what a fabulous week!!! 43 women…lots of stitching, laughing, eating and sightseeing!!!  It was called…The Spirit of Christmas…our goal was to get everyone excited about Christmas!!!

Here are a few pics from the week…the beach house we stayed at…you can tell how big it is from the other one on the side of it…back porch facing the ocean…

the classes…kits with precut pennies, this was one of 2o some classes offered..

Of course Santa stopped in!!!!

Some of the food…

Best Crab Cakes I ever ate…at Blue Moon in Nags Head…Lighthouse in Manteo…I loved the holiday wreaths!!!

Lots of waterfront shops….

Thanks again for making OBX retreat so much fun:) I do decorate with quilts….not just at Christmas, but all the seasons. The Christmas ones I use are red&green or red&white, plus I have lots of Christmas runners and wall-hangings. Can’t wait to see the 2017 Anchor Point decorations:) Merry Christmas!

Will you be doing another retreat at the Outer Banks in the future, and if so where would I find the information for that? The trip to Texas sounds wonderful but the dates don’t work for me, my niece is getting married that week. Your Xmas decorating looks great, would love to see even more pics!
