Hey Everyone… just a couple of things to keep you informed…
Due to the recent shut down of non-essential business in our State of Wisconsin we have been operating at very limited basis. We are taking the best measures we can to keep our employees safe as well as our families. Our store is closed to the public but our Primitive Gatherings website is up and still accepting orders. We will do everything in our power to get you your Bunny, Tulip kits & patterns out to you. However, please know that our shipping dept. is now 1 person. She is amazing and can get large amounts out in day, but out of stock items will hold up shipping.
We SO appreciate that you are still placing orders but please keep in mind that if you order things that we do not produce, like other designers patterns we might not be able to get them out in a timely manner. If you choose to buy Primitive Gatherings kits, patterns, wools that we will able to do with more success.
We had a ton of pillow forms purchased, way more than we and the pillow supplier had in stock. We will ship your kits and then ship your pillow forms separately when they come in, the first week in April. This will basically cost us more to ship twice, but we do not want to hold a bunny kit order. We want you to be able to stitch it and have it ready to enjoy this Spring. The pillow forms are out of stock now on the website, however if you want one you can order it…just know it will take longer than usual.
Luckily, we have one wool dyer still working because she works from home and if we have to put kits together that will be a skeleton crew as well…so I guess I am just saying we will operate the best we can in the situation as it is.
Thank you so much for all the Bunny & Tulip Orders! We did have a nice stock of them when we put them up on the website and I know Jess stated 100 orders went out yesterday…
Our phone rings off the hook…so please keep in mind we are not always there now to answer it. If you have an important question please email us.
The shops email is primitivegatheringsquiltshop@yahoo.com This will also probably be answered from a home office and if you are just wondering when your order will arrive, that may not be possible to answer. So I guess what I am stating here is please, please, please have extra patience at this time…If we are answering phone calls and emails….we are not making kits and shipping.
I am trying to avoid shutting down the website all together. If we do not have too many upset people calling I will keep it up…So please be kind and know we are doing the best we can with what we have…
I am looking forward to making some masks…I have some elastic and lots of fabric to choose from.
Please stay safe, however that looks for you…and again..I can’t say how much we appreciate you placing orders at this critical time. I will keep posting as long as I don’t run out of things to do/say… Look for another Free piecing pattern next…tomorrow is Friday Give-Away Day!
People are afraid, worried and stressed…all understandable. Rudeness is never acceptable regardless of the situation. Lisa, you and your staff are amazing! Thank you and be safe.
Lisa, thank you for everything you’re doing to supply us with things to do during these trying times!!! I, have ordered a couple of items, but totally understand the situation – so if they arrive soon that’s great! If they arrive later, that’s ok too. The most important thing is that you, your family and your employees stay safe!!
Thank you Lisa, I can understsnd some peoples impatience at this time. I am sure for some receiving a package from you is their one ray of Joy in this terrible time . I am myself looking forward to receiving my first Wool Box . Patiently waiting. Wishing you and yours continued good health . Bkess you all.
Thank you for doing what you can to keep things running. I can’t believe there are folks who don’t have other projects to work on while waiting for their kits to arrive. Stay sane everyone.
Lisa, I personally can’t thank you and your crew enough for the amazing hard work in this very uncertain time!!! We all need to be patient and understanding because we are all having to live in a different type of way right now….Personally working from home/remotely definitely has its challenges! We love you all and stay safe!!💕🌻
Thanks for the great update. Looking forward to getting the bunny pillow kit. Rather than an Easter Basket for my granddaughter (16 yrs old), I’m making her the pillow. She told me she had to put her stuffed animals into storage because she is too old for them so I thought this would be a nice replacement. Thanks for all you and your staff do to keep us happy.
Your communication is spot on. So many of us don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. I don’t know how anyone could be upset after reading what you are trying to do to keep everyone happy. The more we know the better. Thanks
Thanks, Lisa, for staying in touch with all of us. I pray every day that the small businesses I love will survive this crisis. We are ordering food from our fav places & I was going to send PG an order as well, but now plan to hold off. Don’t know who your 1-person shipping dept is but God bless her! Planning to keep working on stuff from my stash so when this is behind us, I will be able to place an order for new things! Praying for all my fellow Sewcial Sisters!
Please remember while taking care of us, it’s more important to take care of you and your family. We’ll all be here when this is over, God willing. Sending hugs to you, Nick and your family and staff💞💞💞💞💞
This is the time for everybody to be kind! Can’t say it enough! Look at the bright side…think of all the projects we will get done. Lisa, I so appreciate what you do for all of us!
