This is in honor of my father (Navy), my husband (Army), my father-in-law (Army), his father (Army, WWII, shot down over Germany more than once), my husband’s other grandfather (Navy, WWII, at Normandy on D-day), uncles, and cousins. They all served with honor and had to adjust back to civilian life. Some were able to do it easier than others. Now our son proudly serves. I wish we could give more, but this is for them.

This is my first Primitive Gathering’s SAL and I’m loving the patriotic feel of this SAL and think the cause, Hog’s for Hero’s, is amazing.

HOWEVER…I have a REQUEST…I’m not sure how others feel about it, but personally, I don’t think you should list the specific amount people donate. Listing individual names is one thing, but not everyone is able to make a sizable donation and may feel less or not as good as someone else who is able to make a larger donation. So, going forward, I truly hope you will consider NOT list the dollar amount of a persons donation.

  2. […] the actual name of this block is? If you haven’t been following this stitch along (SAL), the American Quilters’ SAL-Block 3 blog post summarizes the information you need to know to get started. I can’t wait to see how […]
