Come One, Come All to a Bernina Sewing Class!

Hey, hey, happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. It is such a beautiful day here in northeast WI that it’s just about unbelievable. Last week we were sitting in the mid to upper 30’s and now today less than a week later, it’s over 80º! Once again, I’m feeling bad for the arthritis sufferers out there, especially since it will be back down in the 40’s and 50’s by the weekend. Talk about a rollercoaster ride of temperatures… A true sign that spring is definitely here!

Needless to say it’s been a bit tough to focus on work today with the non-stop beckon of the sunshine through the window, but I’m forcing myself. There is so much to do! On top of all the projects I’m currently in the middle of, Jess and I have been working hard getting everything ready for our next CommentSold event, which is happening tomorrow immediately following STITCH with Lisa Bongean. I will be hosting this time around, as we focus our attention on “all things mini.” I’ll be featuring a variety of items especially meant to make your life easier when it comes to making anything miniature, including tools, books, and other notions that I can’t live without. Remember, STITCH with Lisa will be on first at 1:00 p.m. CST on my YouTube channel with  CommentSold airing directly after the show. Set your reminders now so you don’t miss it! You can tune in by hitting the STITCH button at the end of the post!

In addition to all our new online ventures, we have also been diligently working on finalizing the events schedule for both The Gathering and Primitive Gatherings for the remainder of 2023. If you haven’t seen the schedule yet feel free to check it out by clicking the link below! This will open up a printable PDF of the entire schedule for your convenience. As I’ve mentioned before, though we have it pretty much finalized, expect a tweak here and there. Going forward, the most up to date version will always be available by clicking the 2023 EVENT SCHEDULE link in the main blog menu.

Whether you’re looking for a fun group to sew with once a week just for grins, a club to attend on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, a full retreat, or just a one-time class, we have a nice selection of fun activities planned to fit your schedule… and your taste! Groups like Wool Club, Hexi Club, Bernina Embroidery Club, Cross Stitch Club, Featherweight Club, and more, typically meet one to two times monthly at The Gathering. Bring your works in progress or a project you’d like to start… Get help from your fellow stitchers while meeting new people and making new friends!

Not able to make a monthly commitment to a designated club? Why not attend a one-day work shop or multi-day retreat!? We have several coming up that just might be a great fit for your busy schedule. In fact, I’m super excited about the nice variety of educational classes being offered at The Gathering in May during the Bernina StitchWise Event. These classes will be exclusively taught by Bernina instructors and will feature tips and tricks on how to use your serger, how to embroider, how to get started in longarm quilting, and more! There are four classes to choose from throughout the week:

Don’t own one of these fantastic machines? Don’t worry! Now’s the time to test the waters in the ocean that is Bernina! This learning event is the perfect opportunity to come try your dream machine before you buy. Even better, while you’re here you can check out our beautiful brand new Bernina store front where we have a nice variety of machines set up and available for you to get your hands on – including domestics, sergers, and longarms (our Bernina store is open Mon- Fri 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until Noon and by appointment)!!! By now you must be itching to sign up, and I can’t blame you! I highly recommend you don’t wait too long – seats always fill up fast for this type of event. Traveling in? Lodging is available too! If you have any questions or would like to register, call Gloria at 920.778.8031 and she’ll be happy to help!

Alright everyone, I’ve had it. I can’t stand sitting here all cooped up inside like this for a minute longer! It’s just too nice out there. I think I might make an executive decision and sneak out a little bit early today. After all it IS Wednesday and I’m technically supposed to be working from home… I will see you all tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. CST for STITCH with Lisa Bongean with our next CommentSold immediately after. Which reminds me, Jess would like me to remind YOU that if you’d like to participate in CommentSold sales you need to register and confirm your account if you haven’t done so already! You can do that by clicking HERE! Not familiar with CommentSold but want to learn more? Click HERE to read my blog post where I explain it all! Now hurry up and get on it… You have less than 24 hours until go time! See you all tomorrow with your shopping bells on! Until then, take care and have a wonderful evening. ~Lisa

Lisa, your blog posts always make me smile! I can just hear you telling us to get outside and enjoy this spring weather! It’s 69 in western New York this afternoon. Our weather is just like yours…beautiful and warm one day and cold and rainy the next. Looking forward to seeing you online tomorrow! 😊😊😊

A beautiful sunny day here today too! You sometimes have to take a break to enjoy the beauty of nature outdoors. Sounds like a great Comment Sold coming up tomorrow!

Like having one place to find all the “happenings” in your stitching world. You are a bit far for me but still enjoy the videos

Have you considered a zoom class? Not as personal, and I would miss the environment you create as well as the class chats with other members but it could help me to attend!

Hi Sandra! Zoom classes and clubs are a goal of ours for my future subscription content. Stay tuned!
