Hey gang! Welcome back to the Monday grind. As you know it’s a pretty big week here at Primitive Gatherings as we make our final preparations for the new website launch, happening this coming Thursday, May 18th, 2023. I went over the details on what you should expect in a blog post last week, but in case you missed it I wanted to pop on quick with some reminders. First up, let’s talk about CommentSold. I hope you were able to tune in this morning for our special airing of CommentSold featuring “All Things Christmas.” If you weren’t able to watch us LIVE, remember you can always watch the replay and shop remaining items after the show has aired. Past videos can be found on the Primitive Gatherings Facebook Page by clicking the “Media” link (located under the main page photo and page title) and then selecting “Videos.” You can also find them on the STITCH with Lisa Bongean Facebook Group Page by clicking the “Media” link (located under the main page photo and page title) and then selecting “Videos.” No time today? No worries… We will have another CommentSold tomorrow, May 16th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. featuring some of Jess’s favorite Autumn projects.
Secondly, I want to mention PDF downloads and how the system change will affect them. PLEASE REMEMBER! If you have a PDF download sitting in your current account, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD IT AND SAVE It to YOUR COMPUTER by Saturday, June 30th, 2023! Your downloads will NOT TRANSFER TO THE NEW SITE AND WILL NOT BE SAVED! In other words, because our system is changing those files will no longer be available after the old site is shut down. If you miss the deadline to download you will not be reimbursed for lost files, so PLEASE! Download them now while you still have time!!! After June 30th they will be gone for good!
Next up, in preparation to make the switch over to the new site, our current website will be CLOSED starting TODAY – Monday, May 15th, 2023 and remain down through Wednesday, May 17th. The new site will then launch the morning of Thursday, May 18th, 2023.
PLEASE NOTE: If you already have an account on our current website, your information will NOT transfer over to the new site. This means that you will need to go onto the new site and re-register your account information before you will be able to make an order using your new account. All you need to do is go to the login area of the new site, enter your current Primitive Gatherings login name, and select “I forgot my password.” Then follow the prompts (if you do not already have an account set up from the old site, use the “create account” option instead). The system will then send you an email with a link where you will be able to establish a new password for your new account. Next, we ask that you verify that all your personal information is correct within your account (the spelling of your name, address, phone number, email, etc. – it should all transfer over automatically, but you never know). Once you’ve done that, you’re in! As far as stored credit card information goes, unfortunately that will NOT transfer over. You will, however, be able to re-save it in the system when you make your first purchase using your newly established account.
Good news for those of you who are enrolled in our Subscription Boxes… All of your personal and credit card information WILL roll over to the new system. We are still using the same payment gateway so the new site launching will not affect your Subscription Box. Gift card balances will also transfer, however, we are still currently working on how it will be done. We should have that all nailed down in time for the launch on Thursday, and will inform everyone as soon as we can.
I know this is a lot of information and kind of a pain… Trust me – we get it! I want you to know how much I appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked our way through the murky waters of this process. That’s why as a way to say thanks for being such troopers, I’m going to give anyone who makes a purchase using their newly verified account 15% OFF their first order on the new site between May 18th and May 25th, 2023 (NOTE: restrictions apply – offer does not include sale items, sewing machines, pre-orders, subscription boxes, specialty items, Valdani Threads, or Creative Grids Rulers. If we are signed up with a subscription will that transfer over or do we need to resubscribe?

So glad you always include a button in your newsletter to register for “Comment Sold”. I’ve been curious about this and finally registered. Loved the video you did of a “visit to the Gathering”. I know you had a lot of sound issues, but it got a lot of good points out there. I’m in California, so I probably won’t ever get there, but a girl can dream. Keep up the good content!

What about items that we have already preordered, like Rustoc Gatherings and your upcoming Christmas line? Do we have to resubmit or credit card information so those sales can go through I the future?
Hi Brenda! We keep a hard copy of every order we receive so pre-orders are safe!
What about subscription boxes? Will that info transfer from your end or do we have to renter everything along with credit card information. Because we should be getting out third box this month
You shouldn’t need to do anything for subscription boxes.
