Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well so far. It’s always hard to snap back into the swing of things after a long holiday weekend but my staff and I still found plenty to do today anyway. It’s especially hard to focus on work when the weather is nice like it has been over the last few days, with sunny skies and temps in the mid to upper 80’s all weekend. Now, after another long hot day of nothing but sunshine, a few pop-up storms are making their way through the area as we reach the hottest point of the day. Nothing serious – just a little release of the mid-afternoon heat from the atmosphere, which is always nice. I don’t think it will last long and we can always use the rain. Either way, we’re in for more sunshine tomorrow.

It’s funny. I keep thinking tomorrow is Friday for some reason, but I know for a fact that it’s only Thursday because the girls and I been discussing my next LIVE show and CommentSold all afternoon. That actually reminds me – I have some great news regarding CommentSold I wanted to share with those of you who are not Facebook users! I know many of you would like to participate in these online sales but can’t or choose not to because until now, they have only been accessible through our Facebook pages. I’m excited to tell you that those days are over! We now have an exclusive Primitive Gatherings CommentSold app that you can use to join the fun right through your smart phone!

Apps are free and easy to use, and even easier to install on your device. All you have to do is go to the app marketplace on your smart phone (look for the App Store for iPhones or Google Play Store for Android phones). Then put Primitive Gatherings into the search area and it should come up – just look for our logo. ANDROID USERS PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, just like everything else right now, this new app is a work in progress and is not quite ready to go for Android users. We are working closely with the CommentSold tech people and hope to have it up and running very soon, so please keep checking back! If you’re new to using apps, don’t worry. Jess and I will be explaining it more in depth tomorrow during LIVE with Lisa, so if you have any questions be sure to watch! You can ask us LIVE in the comments and we’ll do our very best to get them answered for you.

Not sure what all the CommentSold fuss is about? If you’re never participated in a Comment SOLD sale before, get ready to have some fun! As you know, social media continues to change the way consumers shop online all the time – I can barely keep up! Businesses everywhere are using social media channels to sell things in new and unique ways, including what is referred to as “comment selling.” It works by combining two of our favorite things – social media and online shopping, allowing people to buy right through comments on Facebook or with the Comment SOLD app, without ever leaving their newsfeed. Simply put, Comment SOLD is an easy, secure, and frictionless way of shopping that makes it dangerously easy to make a purchase. Pretty neat, right?! Here’s how it works. All online LIVE sales will be featured on the Primitive Gatherings Facebook Page in the media/videos area, in my STITCH Facebook group, and now through the app! We generally have a broadcast every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and again on Thursdays directly following LIVE with Lisa which is usually around 2:15 p.m. (if dates and times ever differ we will announce them via Facebook and here on the blog) If those times don’t work for you don’t worry. You can always watch the replay and shop later!

If you want to join the party I highly recommend getting registered before hand. More great news – registering for Comment SOLD is super easy! First and foremost, if you’re already registered for Comment SOLD for another store, you still need to register under the Primitive Gatherings shop in order to participate in our sales. Once you’ve done that, simply tune into our LIVE broadcasts to shop! Much like a traditional auction, items up for sale will be shown along  with a number or letter. To purchase the item, simply type the word “SOLD” along with the correlating number or letter and quantity in the comments. The system will automatically generate an invoice which will be sent to you. You then have three hours to submit your payment and complete your purchase.
